- BBC newsreader George Alagiah, who is being treated for bowel cancer, has revealed he has had a mild case of coronavirus.
"In some ways, I think that those of us living with cancer are stronger because we kind of know what it is like to go into something where the outcomes are uncertain."
He's been speaking to Sophie Raworth and BBC News at Ten.

That's good to know. This covid-19 is very mysterious on the effects of some. My mother has cancer and is still currently in hospital after an operation. It's been hard on our family not being able to visit and with that worry of covid-19 not being to far away from her has really broken my father.
