Oh George! Blessed and lovely man!! Rest with the angels. He’s right- we need early screening and far greater public awareness of bowel cancer symptoms. How we will all miss him - an inspiration! I am so sad to hear of his loss…😢
I love George Alagiah, he's so brave: sharing so eloquently and rationally such deeply personal and emotional issues takes courage. When I was very young and George came on the TV I would always chirp up, much to the amusement of my mum. Keep fighting George.
Thank you George for sharing such personal details. You have helped me to be more aware. I missed you when you were not reading the news. Glad to see you back. Andrew Beckford.
I only got to know yesterday he passed on 2 months ago, this broke my heart literally...never met or knew him personally but will say he was a good person that genuinely cared about the well being of others, and he will be greatly, greatly missed by everyone that appreciated him. Sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones 🙏💔
Symptoms Bowel cancer a persistent change in bowel habit - pooing more often, with looser, runnier poos and sometimes tummy (abdominal) pain. blood in the poo without other symptoms of piles (haemorrhoids) - this makes it unlikely the cause is haemorrhoids.
George Alagiah you are great journalist and an inspiration to Tamils. Reading your book Passage to Africa took me on a journey to Africa. Another book i enjoy reading was Home to Home. Your are so brave and shown to share personal, emotional issues when it comes to cancer. I admire BBC and the BBC motto to inform, to educate and to entertain. We all wish you a speedy recovery.
A "Massive" looking and listening to this..........IF ONLY........i,d known the signs............thing could/would of been "different"..............but.talking and listening to others.DOES save lives...............
