  • This video describes construction of the caster extension and retraction system under my mechanic's tool chest. It is intended to be available to those who have purchased plans for this caster system.

Great to see new feeds from you
    Thanks for not using welding
See lots of feeds that I’d like to do and halfway through out comes out the welding

Thank you for the detailed video Mr. Holmgren. I really appreciate all the detail you put into giving us access to the inner-working of your designs. I have a couple of questions. If my chest is 22"D x 36"W, do I need to adjust the size of the caster mounting boards and the caster board actuating arms or will it work with the original dimensions? Next, since I am making a new chest and can adjust the height of the base where my caster assemblies will be housed, is it necessary to countersink the casters into the mounting boards or can they be flush-mounted? Last question, are the caster mounting boards attached to anything other than the actuating arms in the rear? Sorry for the questions but I'm finishing up my build and I want to get it right before I make the final assembly. I wish you all the best, I would pay good money just to meet you and hear your stories of contraptions and projects you've built.
