- This video describes the pedal operated retracting caster systems for my ShopSmith Model 10ER and my home-built combination belt disc sander. The system is an advancement on those described in videos No. 1 to 4 for retracting casters. It is unlisted and is intended to be available for viewing by purchasers of plans.

The amazing thing to me about this Shopsmith drill press stand is not only do you get a a compact stand WITH awesome retracting casters, but you get a large drawer too!

Currenlty I am incorporating some bearings into my woodworking projects for rotating shafts and have not found any good videos about setting a bearing into wood so the OD is fixed. If you have any ideas, it would be appreciated.

great job Carl. I'm wondering if this would work for a different size. I'm working with 37x12x5. The arm would have to be very long and i'm not sure if it would work. Most of your stuff is closer to square. Is it still possible?
