Nice design! Quick tip for the end clamp at about 9:29. Put a nut on the bolt before cutting the head off. When you take the nut off, it'll fix the threads that might have been damaged from the cut.

Thanks for sharing. I learn so much from watching your videos, and enjoy the way you describe your thinking process. I like the portable aspect of what you've made and yet still get the stability and clamping options as a normal workbench.

This is genius. I was about to attemp a Moravian workbench because it knocks down-I have very little shop space-but this is most of that functionality in a tiny form factor. And its cheap, so I could use this a while and decide later if an upgrade is really needed or not.

Amazing build that is incredible versatile. It just dawned on me, and it might be an easy upgrade that is not in the way when you don't need it and i'm far to inexperienced to just do it so i'll share it for you instead. On all four legs, cut a foot in length of the same material as the legs are, but make them slideable and be able to rotate them so they stick out flat on the floor. When you don't need them, just flip them up and fasten with a hook or similar. That yould give the table the support it needs in that direction, only when you need it. Fast and easy to fold and unfold. And from what i can see, they would not be in the way when unused either. Think of them as foldable stabilisers. Thanks for the video.

Top tip. A layer of cork or vinyl added to the bottom of the legs makes a small bench like this much more stable to work on. The added friction helps to prevent the bench from skating off across the workshop floor, reducing the need for sandbags.
Another thought. If you still need extra weight, go make friends with whoever is in charge of your local dump/recycling center. Ask them to keep an eye out for weightlifting weights - not the cast iron ones, they are easily recycled, but the cheapo plaster filled plastic ones that usually end up in landfill. I've done this in the past & ended up with 50kg+ of weights for free. Better for the environment too...

This is a nice design Jay! Another youtuber (think It was Wortheffort) pointed out that any bench that is lacking mass can be fastened to a large sheet of plywood/OSB - your weight then standing on the plywood is more than enough to keep it from walking around on you!
