Retracting Casters No 3 - HD Wood Lathe

- This video describes the operation and construction of a pedal operated caster extension and retraction system for my Craftex brand 18" X 47" wood lathe identical to wood lathes sold by Grizzly, Laguna, Ben Leigh and others. Similar to Heavy Duty Lathes sold by Powermatic, Jet and others. It is unlisted and is intended to be accessible to those who have purchased plans for building this caster system.

Folks, unfortunately this isn't a new video... if you read the description, it's intended to be a hidden video for purchasers of the plans... I have purchased his plans and received a link to this video several years ago. I suspect something got inadvertently changed.

Very clever, Carl! I will adapt this to fit my Shopsmith Mark 510. It has it's own casters but I need to raise it at least six inches on blocks or some kind of platform so I can use the lathe without stooping over and hurting my back. Have you ever considered this for your Shopsmith?
