The November Rain guitar actually used to belong to Joe Perry (one of his childhood guitar heroes) that Slash purchased in ‘88. Slash ended up returning it to Joe as a birthday gift.
It was 50th anniversary of Joe Perry if I’m not mistaken
And that guitar had the stock 59 gibson Pafs and not ducan pickups. So the current nonmember burst should have a more Paf like pickups rather than the Gibson knockoffs of the Slash Duncan's.

I had a chance to get the anaconda burst and build it exactly how I wanted to, but as soon as I bought it my job has been shut down for months, and I couldn’t spend my unemployment on it, I’ll get one eventually, maybe it will still be there when I get everything back! Who knows. But hopefully!

Just bought one in November Burst. Not my first LP. I bought a cheapo Tribute which was great, but I sold it to buy this one. I also have a 2019 Standard in Seafoam Green which is just like the Modern LPs. Delivery from Sweetwater in a couple of days.

Class. That appetite amber one man, dam. I also never realised how my pots where shit until Dagan showed me that pots had positions other than 10 for creating different sounds.
The good news, high end pots are cheap to replace.
Can you play other things with it besides Slash jams? Is it versatile? And how much so?

great review of a great guitar, although i would like to point out you said they sound the exact same as the seymour duncans which is not true. They sound highly similar with the exception that the midrange clarity is actually worse than the seymour duncans, and there are multiple videos that showcase this. I am happy they sound good especially on a 3 thousand dollar guitar, but slightly disappointing that they shortcutted the pickups to save money.

Funny enough, I dropped a deposit to order mine in locally. I brought in my 2019 R9 60th anniversary to compare necks between the 50's-60's and the Slash and I had the same feeling... the Slash felt more like my 59' versus the 50's Standard. Should be getting my NB in a week or so!!
What is the diference between 50’s and 59’s necks?

Beautiful guitar and great demoing. Sound great, just not very much like Slash. Would prefer the Seymour Duncan Slash signature PUs for that price. Otherwise a normal Gibson Standard 50s LP would be just as good, just not so beautiful.
Gibson needs to endorse Angus young guitar collection next just like slash.

Yea, I think it’s mainly getting the AAA versus the AA. Oh and the pickups are more like the Seymours. So not sure if that’s worth it. If I’m gonna spend this kind of money I’d spend another 500 just for the AAA.

Have the anaconda. These slashbuckers Are brighter / crispier than slash alnicos. Got several lespauls with alnicos. They sound better imo.

So the appetite is a replica of a replica... Gotcha. Apparently the Kris Derrig guitars had a few differences including the routing for pickups, which some may say will have an impact on the tone... Also interesting that I believe the original Derrig AFD had Seymour Duncan pups but these still have Gibson Burstbuckers. I'm not hating but if you really want a guitar like what was played on the AFD album... There's probably better options. Cool looking nonetheless.
Cheaper to just buy a Gibson LP Standard and just toss the A2pro's with a 50's wiring kit. That's all you need. Slash only played with his LP Standards live after 1988 anyway.

Those fakebucker pickups do not sound like Alnico II Pros. Rest of the guitar is great, but the pickups are disappointing.
Yeah, they should really take the Seymour Duncan Slash Signature PUs for that price. Sound is different. I would rather take a Gibson Les Paul 50s Standard, upgrade the PUs and price would still be 500 € less.
Very overpriced shit...HB sc 550 or vintage v100+gotoh locking tuners +duncan slash set ..1800 bucks remaning....And sound 99 same...
