  • Surabhi Gautam was born in an orthodox village of Madhya Pradesh, where girl child had unequal rights. Years later she walks into the same village and the entire village is celebrating her success. She talks that knowledge is the only art of recognition.
Surabhi Gautam is a RGPV Alumni, and has secured AIR 1 in Indian Engineering Services (IES), she has worked at Bhabha Atomic Research Center and Indian Railways. She has recently Secured AIR 50 in UPSC Civil Services Exam. She completed her B.tech in an ordinary engineering college and went on to work in BARC as a scientist through gate score. Later she prepared vigorously for IES-2013, with flying colors she became the first ranker. She then chose to work in Indian Railways of Signal Engineers and currently serving the nation. Never Mind Innovative mind ain't particularly different thing than trained brain. They are both appended in one way. A trained brain must contain innovative ideas just like innovative brain. The state of having innovative brain is just part of the process of training brain. We reach to innovative stage by training.

Have you heard any other country showering praise on person who just qualified an exam. The is THE fatal flaw in our mentality...qualifying the exam is just like catching a train...the journey remains and the purpose haven't been fulfilled yet...don't praise someone for boarding a train....btw I respect her a lot...but 10 lacs people preparing for government exams...with mentality that they will get through it and chill all their life is not acceptable....this just adds fire to that flaw

Her journey was full of obstacles and as she said that English is the main obstacle of them. I can understand how much efforts you have made to be fluent and hold over English. Suddenly to shift from any regional medium to English is a great task but in which manner she is speaking English has made a precedent for all of those who have the same struggle like you. I have also same struggle. In the beginning I was thinking to give up learning English but I heard you and decided to work at English instead of giving up. Thank you to my inspiration who helped me to think what to do when I was confused. Actually with me everything is going on right but I have fear that can I write in English in a good way as upsc requires. I have believe if you can do this, I can also. The more you work hard, the better you get .
