  • 🇱🇰 ANURADHAPURA, SRI LANKA - Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka. Today I am showing you the Ruwanwelisaya stupa, where I made offerings to the Buddha with my host at sunrise and met by chance the Buddhist monk who will become my spiritual guide and meditation teacher.

Monks can advise for politics meaningfully for welfare of human beings but cannot take advantage. Also buddha recomended two types of governing systems and how to do good governence. Lord buddha advised some kings too . HOW EVER MONKS CANNOT DO PROTESTS . monks cannot do UPAVASA .ALSO THEY CANNOT HAVE A POLITICAL PARTY .THEY CANNOT GO TO PARLIAMENT. according to buddha's teachings. monks can advise . read and analyse PARINIBBANA sutta.

Yes that is right......This is the reason why Buddhism is different than other religions..... Buddhism is more practical and scientific religion.....Buddha never told that, offer me or worship me.....but it's our gratitude and respect to Buddha that we offer something to him.....but it's not compulsory..... Buddha is the light of humanity......Namo buddhay......

There is a relationship between this Stupa and your country Italy(At the time Roman Empire) in ancient times. The book Natural History was written by Roman Historian Cayo Plinio Segundo (Pliny the Elder) mentioned that incident. In 46 AD ,Roman tax collector Annius Plocamus and his naval fleet faced a huge storm in the Indian Ocean. He and his fleet shored to Sri Lanka by chance. At that time Sri Lankans had well-known about the Greek and Hellenic World. But they didn't know much about Rome.Annius Plocamus met the Sinhalese king and described about the Roman empire showed silver Roman coins to king. He spent over 7 months in Sri Lanka. Sinhalese king sent ambassadors with him to Rome. Those ambassadors met your ancient king Emperor Claudius (AD 41-54). That historical incident was also mentioned in our history as yours. As a result of this insident our king gave to Romans spies, pearls, Gems war elephants ...etc and your king gave us Silver Roman coins and Roman Beads. Since then throughout the Anuradhapura period, Roman currency was also used alongside local currency. Those Roman Beads were found on that Stupa by archeologists. The pearls most of your ancestor (Romans) women had weared ,came from Sri Lanka. Link czcams.com/video/YL-E6qtaNyw/video.html

He searche all the things and practiced almost everything and finaly started seeking inside rather than outer world. Just a message for those who seek, May find what you seek within you. Lord budhdha teachings are the way to seek yourself by mindfullness to understand your self. Therefore, you are the teacher of your self and all around you is what describes you. This can only be seen through mindfullness. because you know where you are, what you do etc. Because we cannot hide anything from yourselves. So the best teacher is youself to you.namo budhdhaya🙏🙏🙏 therwan saranai

we need kalyana friends . good guidance. yes we need . otherwise for example you cannot fly to italy by using a normal car driver. you need a pilot. ALSO LORD BUDDHA EXPLAINED THE VALIDITY OF A KALYAANA FRIEND. THEN WHO WILL EXPLAIN YOU THE CORRECT DHAMMA THERE ARE PEOPLE CORRUPTING DHAMMA. WHAT YOU SAY IS CORRECT BUT WHO WILL SHOW YOU THE CORRECT DHAMMA

    • @amaluduwaraarachchi3085
      @amaluduwaraarachchi3085 Před 10 měsíci

Just in this idea had is not wrong but if everything lord budhdha said was about a message for nirvana, "in this world there's no person or thing will refuge. So we are to be our refuge first. There are so many ways that we can practice dhamma 84,000 ways said and done, For instance, we can see our mistakes in ourselves within in the same way we used to see mistake or problems of outside world. If this can be practised you will see the results for yourself. we can definitely find one way. If you wanna fast track your journey, you have to be your own teacher untill, theres nothing to be taught to no one. You are right in that direction, Only the practised would know. If the practices are correct because this all a cause and effect. As an example, if you want ask for a destination on a road you only wanna ask someone who knows and who's been there already. Because he can only know for sure, if he had been there. There's simple and only one way to find out if something or anything you practise is dhamma is that you should get calm in nature as result of what you practice. And you have practice it until theres no need for practising anymore. This is all about mindfullness invested for analysing how our mind works or analysing yourself in every moment. In both cases same thing happens. Namo budhdhaya theruwan saranai 🙏🙏

    From Nibbana patipada- translation
    Anichchathothi
The sensual pleasures are inbred with suffering and devastation in this life and beyond. Those pleasures dissipate with catastrophic consequences hence called Khaya Dhamma.
They are originated due to the causes and therefore able to outgrow with the cessation of those causes hence called Vaya Dhamma.
Therefore those pleasures are devoid of consistent presence and have an uncertain nature.
Hence, the sensual pleasures must be shrewdly viewed as an uncertain illusion caused by various factors that must be outgrown with the cessation of those causes.

Amazing to see you are discovering the Dhamma more in your Journey in Sri Lanka.
Supreme Buddha said “One who sees dependent origination sees the Dhamma. One who sees the Dhamma sees dependent origination.” So I encourage you and anyone else here to read dependent origination not once but many times. As it’s important for the development of knowing Wholesome And Unwholesome actions. And it’s to be seen as interconnected with the 4 Noble Truths.
Also you visited probably the most important site for a Buddhist. As it contains most of Gautama Buddhas relics enshrined. And also it’s said that the area was visited by the 4 Supreme Buddhas of the past and present. (In this Bhadrakalpa) Namely Kakusandha, Konagamana, Kassapa and by our Gautama Supreme Buddha when he visited Sri Lanka for the 3rd time. Truly an amazing and peaceful area to meditate there.
Looking forward to your future visits to Buddhist locations.

Lowthuru Buddha Wandana pages 5-6 Translation
Following Dhamma is the sincere and true worship to
    Supreme Buddha
“Ananda, these trees are full of blossoms which have flourished in an unparalleled manner.
Their delicate flowers are ceremonially showering down
onto the body of the Lord Buddha in a special solemnity. This
plethora of dazzling flowers are scattered all around the Supreme
Buddha in a graceful manner. Heavens too opened up to scatter
flowers to celebrate this very special day. Wholly the entirety of
these divine blossoms keep falling from the sky to glorify and
honour the Supreme Buddha. The sweet- scented sandalwood
dust is sprinkled down from the heavens to honour the Lord. This
perfumed dust is thinly layered upon the body of the Supreme
Buddha to offer the greatest tribute.
These miraculous tributes are continued frequently over and over again. The celestial beings are chorusing mellow tunes from above to worship the Lord”
“However Ananda, all these remarkable offerings are not
considered the true honour to the Supreme Buddha. It is not the
meaningful way to show the adoration and reverence to the
Supreme Buddha. If a clergyman or a layperson follows the
teachings of the Supreme Buddha and brings it forward in their
lifestyle, then that is the genuine worship and the glorification of
the Supreme Buddha. That person will be devoted from deep
within. Each time he thinks, talks or acts in that manner, it is the
highest level of admiration he can manifest towards the
Supreme Buddha. Therefore Ananda, you all
must determine and discipline yourselves by living in the path with
the principles leading to the tranquil state of Nibbana (Nirvana)”..”

Everything started to comming out ,inside of the buddish monarchy and viharai, if you know you are never going to be viharai. These pikkus are doing child abuse, traps pedophile crimes not only they are running politics, shameful to be buddisht monk or following buddisham in Srilanka. They can't live peacefully they are the one running politics as well if politicians didn't asked them they will protest against the government and the politicians, there is the history during 1983 riots these buddisht pikku rowdies were jaffna and burned the city.
Reason years building budda viharai in Tamil people area of northeast against the court order who is doing and standing front pikkus army and police. Is it enough for you about pikkus .worse pikkus are Srilanken buddisham and their establishment. Now you know ancestors of animals,🦁 nothing surprises 😮

      Two types of faith have been described in Buddhist teaching;
Blind, irrational, baseless or rootless faith (amulika saddha)
Confidence based on reason and experience (akarawathi saddha

These days The majority, including lay people and monks, belong to the first category. Lighting the lamps .Cleaning the flower baskets . Cleaning monasteries, tying robes around stupa and bodhisattva, chanting loudly is not faith. (Most do this) This does not mean it is not good. It should be deeply understood that this dharma discovered by Lord Buddha is sufficient to get rid of the sufferings of birth, aging, disease and death.

It seems that you have met the right teacher for your life journey. What that monk said is very true Madam. Most of Srilankan just go to temlples ,worship and do rituals but fail to practice the principles of Buddhism, that is why people of Srilankan have so many problems. Still they haven't realised that a real Buddist society can't be built only by doing rituals. Good Luck. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I also believe same.. This Puja, offering flowers etc. are just Buddhism based culture. Buddhism is nature. Explain the nature. Whoever understand the nature he/she will be in Nibbana which is no life after the death.
