Car Dings

Obviously, so far as looks go, that car has worse things going on than a few dings; believe me, for the ten years that I drove it the ONLY thing I cared about was that it ran.
The things that really confuse me here are that my Dad never once mentioned to me that he'd hit it (And, say, after the second or third time he might have suggested that we park differently or something?), and also that he cared so little about his truck, to be bashing his door into my car on a regular basis.
