    Harley should have never gone away from the Hydraulic Clutch. 💯👍

      I agree.

      The issue with the Hydraulic clutch was that it wasn't adjustable and activation began at its farthest point. This made trying to utilizing the clutch while riding at slow speeds very fatiguing.

      I have a CVO bike, with a Hydraulic Clutch.
      It’s a “feel thing”. You get used to it.
      The point that is lost in the discussion, is to your point “it’s not adjustable”, however the clutch engages EVERY-TIME In The Same Place..ALL The Time. 💯
      The Friction Zone never changes.
      The “pull” of the Lever is much easier in traffic, and is more user friendly in that situation.
      I will not ever purchase a bike without a Hydraulic Clutch, because of the reasons stated above. 😂 ✌️

      @@genekelley7579 While I agree that being static equals consistency, i think that argument is invalid if the placement is consistently wrong for that rider.
      I do agree the pull is easier but I would be willing to trade that for adjust-ability.
      There is a reason motor officers (who utilize the clutch all day everyday, swap out the levers on any hydraulic clutches so that they can close the gap on that activation.

    Does anyone know just how much this pull is reduced? (Percentage) Just trying to NOT aggravate my guitar hand. I guess I can check their website. FYI; Wow! Never mind. It's 50 percent.

    @cowboy7x Před 4 měsíci +1

    Great video, I will be getting one. However, did (or should) you have to adjust the clutch after this? Also, (not being a mechanic) I wish you'd explain relieving the tension of the cable before you cracked the trans case.

    • @DrHarley
      @DrHarley  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I didn't show the release of the tension on the cable because there are two different types. The one peice cable and also the two peice cable. And yes, a clutch adjustment is a great idea after the replacement of the easy clutch.

    I have watched some videos of doing this and some do and some don’t take the derby cover off and adjust the clutch inside do you have to or not I have a 2022 tri glide thanks

    • @DrHarley
      @DrHarley  Před 7 měsíci +1

      That part will not change the adjustment of the clutch. However, it affects the adjustment on the cable because you need to collapse the adjuster to remove the cable from the actuator

    • @amberbali8881
      @amberbali8881 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@DrHarleyThe Advanblack arm is slightly longer and the ramps are different degree. The clutch rod behind the derby cover should always be readjusted. On a Muller (which this is a knock off copy of) the adjustment is 1/8 turn out after light seat (with cable fully slacked). Then adjust cable to approx 1/16" free play at the perch. It most certainly does require this FULL adjustment.
