What year bike? How's the heat at traffic stops?

Good to hear that bad boy holds up running highway. My two questions would be, hows the gas mileage, like miles per tank and how many times has he been stuck in rush hour traffic just crawling with it. My concern would be this engine grenading in Boston traffic

Should the rear caliper rock back and forth slightly when all the mounting bolts are fully tight? I can move my caliper with my hand, bike is new with 2500 miles on it.

Make sure to blow or swab out that blind hole in the head for the breather bolts are the pressure buildup by torquing the bolt will blow out the bottom of the head. That hydraulic pressure will be way too much before reaching the torque spec.

i had mine changed today, unfortunately i got the seal kit for models before 2003 from the dealer, now it spits oil out of the air filter ... i used rockerbox gaskets from james gasket, do you think they have to be replaced when i remove the cover ? to replace the gaskets from the breather ? thanks

I have a 2014 883n. The space on the inside had some play from the factory. I put some new ones in and there was no play. Is there any info on what that should be? The bearings I purchased are from hd.

No clutch adjustment? I took mine in for the 1k and my clutch went from perfect as far as the friction zone being very soon to release to now I have to almost let the clutch lever completely out to get to the friction zone. Hoping I can adjust it back to what it was.

The Jim’s Fan is a better option. It has a thermostat that’s on the rear head, and turns on and off automatically. Kevin Baxter has a great video showing how well it works. A little more complicated install, but it definitely cools the heads.

Are the fronts and rear the same?

How well has it held up? Any long trips yet?
