What’s amazing is those eyes from Richard Harris questioning bird. I’ve seen those eyes on my own father and elderly farmers around my area growing up. I’ll never forget those eyes of rage, when I milked the cows one time, all 38 of those cows, I forget to switch the coolant on the tank. Thought that man was going to vanish me into the middle of next week. I now work in a professional job and regularly have to HR departments and health and safety regulations etc etc, but I’ve never seen eyes anywhere else but on a farmers . when I go home I’ve seen those eyes heated over local football rivalries, selling an animal sub par. These people i talk of are the most lovely, humbling and greatest conversation. But cross them and you feel the full force of what they are about
Such a great movie, the things that went on in ireland, so brutal can not be shown in any movie, I witnessed Such brutal act's as child, that hurt me until this day. Man's inhumanity towards man, unmovable objects, and unstoppable forces, cause exactly what they were intended to cause, apsolute chaos.

There's a truth in this film thats only understood by those who lived it.
John Hurt - amazing...look at the variety of work he's done. incredible.. with Richard Harris... best of the best combo.
It's a rural, Irish portrayal, which is a work of art. As perfect as Richard is, John deserves slightly more credit given that he's English.
“I don't know what's worse: to not know what you are and be happy, or to
become what you've always wanted to be, and feel alone.”
Who knew Sean Bean could pull off such a good Irish accent.
What about Harris ? How could a Limerick man play a fella from Galway ?
@@lugo_9969 Class. Forget Yorkshire, Limerick origin was the challenge. Clare is a big county😂
This movie is such a masterpiece
Two of the finest actors
