I've seen this classic about 3 or 4 times,,, spacing that out about 4 or 5 years.. You just keep coming back and it gets better and more rewarding each time..
In total agreement with you. Richard Harris was Magnificent, as was John Hurt. It seems to me that the Oscar judges didn't fully understand the Irish attachment to the land. I believe they only saw Bull McCabe as a madman without understanding the passion that he had for the land, especially post Famine Ireland.
@@seanloughnane2951if you’re a fan of Richard Harris you should watch another Irish movie that went totally under the radar called Trojan Eddie, he was excellent in that too!
Jim Sheridan director two brilliant movies that I like they were the field he got a fantastic cast and a brilliant script and the other one was in the name of the father three brilliant actors in that movie 🎥🎥🍿🍿🥤🥤
What a movie... classic

Harris should have got the best actor for his portrayal of the Bull in this brilliantly shot movie!

Hearing Richard Harris and John Hurt talk is shocking compared to how Bull and Bird talk
I don't know how hurt channeled the bird amazing performance

Richard Harris Should Have Won That Years Oscar Without Dough And John Hurst a Best Supporting Oscar
I'm curious as to what film that the "preceding guts, gore and dismembered bodies" was referring to! Pretty Woman?
It was Steven Seagal in Hard to Kill.
