This dissonance is such a high level trolling that it’s form of art in itself.
I think going into most things with limited or no previous knowledge is important. It creates an expectation that often ends in disappointment...kinda like a lot of movies nowadays. However, doing research after the fact is almost always a plus. If you go back and revisit things after doing a bit of research, you can often gain an appreciation for the performance/artist.
Good old times when my country wasn't a ESC monster producing soulless ESC hits for high places. I think that's what it should be... National selection, a song, written by the singer or, at least, a person from this country, not a bought Swedish "ok hit" (no offence, Sweden makes awesome music, but it's just not fair that other countries use them to get songs for ESC, I think). It was authentic, original and, yeah, 11th place, but it was a deserved 11th place, as a Russian citizen I felt no shame after the contest. After all, for me, the ESC is a place for good interesting songs and new artists, not for superstars and bought "must win" hits.
As much as it's interesting, I can't believe people asked for 2010 and not 2009, which was simply flawless! So yea, I'm requesting Russia 2009 in the future xD But I really want you to react to Bulgaria 2007 first of all and in the future, 2013 as well (same band, 2007 was perfect and epic, 2013 was good as well yet failed to qualify while 2007 reached 5th place) Also to the list - Israel 2005, Estonia & France 2009 and France 2001, in your spare time :3

When I first saw that drawing, I was like, "WTF?" and laughing non-stop. Other than that, the song was really my taste! I know someone who is a huge fan of Russia 2010 and its just so hilarious!!! If it was a real photo, then it might've ruined it, imo.
This song fondly reminds me of the pound song from Lady and the Tramp. If you're doing 2010 songs, think about doing Drip Drop (Azerbaijan). For me the winner would have been a tossup between that one and Turkey.

But that's not the main point. You see, this is performance from Russia. From a country which is always considered as one of the favourites of ESC. They almost always send smth really special and wonderful (not this year, unfortunately). And their entrance in 2010 was just OK, but nothing more. If you judge Russia 2010 from this point of view, then Nalich and Friends were far from perfect. Like 6/10.
