It's a crime that Joe Theismann is not in the Hall of Fame!! I grew up a Washington Redskins fan and Theismann is my all-time favorite QB. Their victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII will always be one of my favorite childhood memories!
Thiesmann had the defensive play of that game, tough competitor despite being on the small side for an NFL QB.
My favorite 'Skins QB. I miss the days when we had solid consistency at the position.
Thank you. Ever since I was a kid in Billy Kilmer last year of being a starting QB, I have been always been a huge fan of Joe Thiesmann.
Thanks for this!! Theismann was an underrated qb
joe theismann is one of a kind.one of my favorite football players.
Theismann looked slim in uniform, 6 foot 1, 190 pounds, he could squat 405 pounds! Respect!
Theismann starred for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL for three years before joining Washington. He loved to run the ball himself in Toronto and was extremely exciting to watch.
Great QB
My childhood idol.

How is He Not in the NFL Hall of Fame ???
I guess Theismann was a excellent athlete in baseball & basketball also. My opinion, he was underrated in NFL
Definitely underrated. Theismann is the only QB who has won a Super Bowl and NFL MVP (1983) who is NOT in the Hall of Fame. If they put Ken Stabler in the Hall of Fame with his ridiculous number of interceptions, then Theismann should be there as well.
@@jameshutchinson568 hey James is I take a lot of bullshit for saying this but .... If Joe Namath is in HOF, Theisman should be in w/o a doubt. Namath is in cuz 1 lucky win & fur coats & TV commercials. Namath threw more interceptions then TD'S in his career, but a great college player. I'm not a Namath hater or Redskins fan, I just think it's to easy to get in for some.
@@reilneid6436 You are absolutely correct, I don't know why you take a lot of shit for saying that. Namath played very poorly at times, even during the early part of the 1968 season when they won the Super Bowl. I think Namath would have been an all-time great if not for his knee injury in college. I love Namath and he is one of the most important players in the history of the NFL, I actually got his autograph when I was a kid. However, his career stats are definitely not worthy of the HOF.
@@jameshutchinson568 that's awesome getting his autograph. I really was a Namath fan but better remember him at the end of his career. Those knees just ruined what I thought could of been a top 5 all-time & definitely was popular & good for the NFL. Nevertheless, my opinion is it's to damn easy to get in NFL HOF. More INT's then TD's. That alone....lol. I do think Theisman is HOF.
@@reilneid6436 Yes, definitely. People forget what a fantastic athlete Namath was at Alabama. Namath also had a fantastic arm, but made a lot of bad decisions. Ken Anderson is another QB from that era who also had a stellar career and was better than Stabler in my opinion. And Bradshaw also threw a lot of INTs. I believe he barely had more TDs than INTs during his career. I would take Staubach and Theismann over Bradshaw any day.
thanks for the great trivia contest last night. That was a lot of fun and tough I enjoyed it
Thanks! That was a lot of fun. Gonna do it every Tuesday at 10 PM ET
6:54 That was 68 yards in the air on target. And they said he didn't have a big arm, bullshit.
No Gary Clark? Superbowl?
He didn’t play with Clark in a super bowl
@@mikepainter3111 and he only really played half a season with Clark
Anyone think Benny Malone was Joe Washington for a few seconds?
Yes!
Brown was 100% out of bounds XD
Yeah, but no replay.
Yes but he came back IN bounds and was not the first player to touch the ball. It was touched first by the defender which means he can now legally catch the ball. Legal play, definite catch.
@@shanetrimble9265 provided he was bumped out, I believe he was but not rewinding to make sure or anything because it was 39 years ago.
He was in. Charlie Brown was inbounds
I remember Monk and Brown but not Mohamed. Weird.
He was a good receiver for them in 84 and a few games in 85
Mohamed was a very talented WR, but didn't put up a lot of great stats. That's just the way it goes for some guys, unfortunately.
Only really played in one season where he averaged over 100 yards per start(1984), next season he was either injured or phased out for Clark who turned out to be better. (correction edit, he had over 700 yards in 8 starts and 10 games played. If he got in a full season he would have had over 1000 yards.)
Great qb but usually only show that terrible hit
Commanders Legend
Never played for them.
@@WTMNNJR im retconning that derogatory term hell or high water he did
@@TheHeston83Because you’re a 🤡
Same franchise.
