  • Your body is mouth breathing to HELP you get more oxygen!
    This is because mouth breathing helps draw in more air per breath compared to nasal breathing.
    People often will need to mouth breathe when they have an upper airway restriction.
    Proper tongue position and nasal breathing can help open the airway back up so nasal breathing is comfortable.
    Follow the steps in this video to get your tongue where it needs to be so that you breathe comfortably through your nose and stop mouth breathing.

    If you want to y loaf tension in the front of your neck, do the first step by suctioning your tongue and keep your mouth open. Then, put your hand on your chest and pull down while tilting your head back. Also, look side to side and tilt your head to the left and right.
    I learned this from my myofunctional therapist. It’s an exercise they give you to help stretch your tongue tie, if you have one, and it makes my neck feel a lot better when it’s tight.

    Used to mouth breathe years ago, all i had to do was consciously start nose breathing everytime I became aware, took me very little time to permanently transition no technique needed. If you have allergies and clogged nose too no technique is really gonna help, got to use medicine or better yet change diet/ lifestyle.

      I have a deviated septum too, you just need to work at nasal breathing for a while then it gets easier.

    I have seasonal allergies that affect my sinuses greatly, making it nearly impossible to breathe through my nose.
    What can I do about that?

    • @R-BURQUENO
      @R-BURQUENO Před měsícem

      There are people like myself who have broken their nose (3 individual times for me) which can cause deviated septums. Not everybody's nose works like it should. Just like some.need glasses for the eyes. Some need hearing aids for the ears and so on.
