A superb piece that captures the many facets of grief and how it totally upends life. You want to move on but you feel stuck, yet that feeling of being stuck feels strangely comforting because it feels like you have a part of them there with you. Everyone looking at you funny for "being okay", only for them to rush to tell you to "be okay" on the days you wake up a wreck.

what a beautiful but mournful short film. Learning to breathe is the perfect terminology for how it feels to deal with grief

“Learning to breathe again” the hardest part of living with grief for me. Thank you Hona Africa for putting a lot of this into words for me.

Grief never ends, I lost my mum 2020, and everyday I still don’t understand why she had to go? Like why?? It doesn’t just make sense

“…everything happens for a reason…I’m still struggling I guess to see the reason…” that part got me. Why do we say that honestly?

For me being able to put words to your grief is the beginning of “breathing again”. Good piece 😊

Thank you for shining a light on how difficult it is to deal and live with grief. When I lost my son at 26 I was not really allowed to grief people expected me to JUST MOVE ON. But how can you when a piece of you died with them?

I'm sorry for your loss. Not being allowed to evaluate your feelings is unfair and it's one more thing our society needs to change.
