Great job Mike,
Your brother will love the Ice Box. I made a couple about a year and a half ago for my son and son-in-law and they love them. I predict this will be one of your most popular CZcams videos.
Regards,
Bob

The ShavingWood Workshop Thank you fun build as well
Nicely done. I built 2 of these last year for Christmas gifts, and they were very well received. In fact, I need to build a couple more for Christmas this year.
They would make great Christmas gifts I m going to have to make at least two more for sure already

Slowvannah Farms We did and he liked the cooler box filled with beer when i gave it to him
Mike Fulton Ahh... well, okay then - good to hear :-)
Very nice work! Looks great! You got a new subscriber!
+Rattletrap2 thanks
Sweet. How does the lid stay put? Snug fit? Glue?
4 screws threw the side and snug fit
THanks
Welcome
great video,
Thanks
Those turned out awesome man! Thanks for mentioning me and the link. It is greatly appreciated!
No problem thanks for your video and great idea.
I made 2 dozen of these...I added caster wheels the below bottom shelf and reinforced the back ledge with a 2x4 ripped on a diagonal to support the hinges. I also used a router to put a slight bevel on all the board edges. I used less expensive cabinet hinges (3) in place of the heavy duty hinges. The wheels were a HUGE hit and having them hidden beneath the shelf surprises folks when they see it roll. I had to stop taking orders from friends to give myself a break. You can get a set of 4 caster wheels on Amazon for $10 but I found a supplier at my local swap meet who had them for a buck per wheel. Thanks again Donald for the design!
I also put casters on mine
Donald Shade That's awesome! Please send me some pics or post them on my Facebook page.
mike do you have plans on how to build this magnificent cooler
+steve duran in the description there is a link to a video where I got the idea from
the wood work is amazing. if I may, tho. the drain system would be better if it wasn't a rust material. I saw you used a regular black pipe nipple.
+memo ochoa ya it should be plastic
It turned out really great Mike! I bet your brother will love it. Congratulation to him as well to have a such a skilled brother ;)
***** Thanks, he did
Excellent build sir. You just gained a new subscriber.
Thanks you Ben and welcome
Is it hard to drain the water out once its below the drain plug level?
+LaQuetta Surratt-Sadler yes, its a pain is the ass. The next one I do will have the drain in the middle, on the bottom
Hello my name is Robson and I'm from Brazil, I'm a fan of your work !!!!!!!!!
Could you give me the measurements of the width, length and height of the wooden box to put the cooler, thank you and see you soon.
+ROBSON NUNES I found this idea from here: czcams.com/video/jukgeFwaQ2M/video.html
Simplesmente nota 10
.
muito bom
+anderson henrique thanks
Great job but need to explain the details
I left the link in the description for where I got the idea
Hi Mike excellent workmanship do you the measurements?
These are not my plans link is in the description where you can find them
Very nice
.
Thanks for the vide ! can you share the wood measure used on it? Thanks again!
Thanks for watching the measurement will base off the cooler you chose to use. You can find a bit more info here
How to make a rustic cedar ice chest / cooler box!
czcams.com/video/jukgeFwaQ2M/video.html
Just turn the hinges a quarter turn and they'll pop out
.
Great looking boxes, Mike. Did you make them from Cedar?
Yes cedar fence pickets
Estan con madre mandame un link plis
.
Hola, ¿cómo se llama la llave para el desagüe? Dónde se compra.
Thanks I think
Can we talk about how close your hand was to that moving blade?
Yup, but I won’t
Mike what do you think 3 or 4 1x6 or 1x8 x8 ft. boards ?
On my web site I have a list of materials I used 6foot fence boards and needed 11 of them for each box
No counter sinking? Why in the world would you put screws into the top miter pieces
wood is soft enough not need for a outdoor project, outdoor screws
This is an awesome idea. It's kind of a shame to see you do all that hard work and not use full length boards to run some of the spaces. Buy an extra board and make it look good, bro.
.
Sharing your measurements?? Thanks
It hard to do the measurements because it depends on the cooler you use.
The other half wants me to make one of these for the deck... but I have a full bar there so not sure why... www.wackywoodworks.co.nz/the_bar.php
Anyhow they turn out good :-)
Wacky Wood Works Thanks
Hey Mike, awesome looking cooler. Gosler and I might build one of our own. Hit me up on Twitter sometime
+Eric Smith Sweet they are pretty easy. Make the drain on the bottom instead of the side. That's one thing I hate about it.
+Mike Fulton gotcha, are you still in town?
Ya, still hear not to far from the Madison Heights
