    I'm stocking up on cedar pickets this coming fall/winter season while they're dirt cheap so I can go wild next spring building things for my new backyard, and as gifts for family members. There are so many things you can build for a little bit of nothing out of those things! I wish I had known this sooner. I don't have the super fancy tools, but the ones I do have can usually get the job done with a little bit more elbow grease. Thanks for this, it's going at the top of my list!

    • @DIYGene
      @DIYGene  Před 2 měsíci

      You are so right. Cedar is my new go to material. I love how it holds up, how it looks and even how it smells. I was thinking about building these projects with tools most of us have in our garage or can buy really cheap and created another video on building a lounge chair. Check it out. czcams.com/video/upwqAy1bQfQ/video.htmlsi=WzouaQZsflTm4W4B

      That is so true. I hate wasting material. I was able to build this with 10 cedar fence boards. That’s $37. In lumber. I actually bought 12 just in case I mess up. I’m good at messing up. lol

      I haven’t done plans because I was thinking it may differ depending on the cooler you use. However in the description below the video I do have a material cut list. I hope that helps. I am looking into offering plans on projects like this. Thanks for watching.

      I’m sorry you think I stole something. There are many videos out there on this subject and they all share different versions and different ideas. It is fun to see everyone’s different twist on these ideas. Thanks for watching.

      @DIYGene  Před 2 měsíci

      They are not bad. I had one board that had a curve but was able to pull it in. But you can select boards when you pick them out.
