Some people are saying that Gigantic might come back somewhere around 2022, (Might) and this could be its last chance to see the light. I really hope it works. I would really like to see it.
While I think there is still gonna be a D23 EXPO this year, I doubt there is gonna be an announcement for Gigantic of sorts.
I sure hope, they bring it back, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Disney saw what the internet did to Zootopia’s characters and decided not risk that with a child.
It`s messed up that there would most likely be some sketchy stuff involving Inma`s character had Gigantic become a reality.
Well even though some people are like that, its no skin off Disney's nose to have them watching and paying for a awesome movie that Gigantic would have been

I want to see Gigantic, Disney should get Steven Spielberg, the same genius behind the BFG to direct and produce it. Plus, it would be fun if he cast the same actress who played Sophie as Inma.

They should make more other Disney movies from classic fairy tales but always spice it up like a re-telling and even add some action, slipstick comedy, adventure, romance and lots of music. What about like Hans the Hedgehog and East of the Sun, West of the Moon?
I heard it had some creative differences so I guess they had some disagreements with the film leading to its cancellation
I heard it was because they wear uncertain about how the age of the girl should be. One crater wanted her to be the same age as Jack because it had less implications. But another wanted her to be a young girl because it provided a feeling of youth threw out the movie (as shown by the song she sings).

I think it woulda been cool if Gigantic was a metaphor for colonialism. the villains should have been people trying to exploit the giants. similar to in Once Upon A Time.
I think they had their reasons for canceling it but I really, really REALLY wanted to see it.

Gigantic's concept seems really nice. I like the giant little girl idea. Would love to see it if it ever does see the light

I wish this film wasn't cancelled. I'm always hungry for new Disney animated characters.
Tell me about it. Nothing against Nostalgia. But i also crave new content. And Inma sure seemed to be different from a lot the other characters Disney has done.

In my opinion, Disney will film Jack and the Beanstalk in a different version than "Gigantic."
In any case, Disney has made some movies in fairy tales, but they cannot be abandoned.

Absolutely! I'd love to see that. Maybe Pixar will make a movie set in Spain next. They've already done one in France and Italy, so Spain would make sense 😊
My guess on Gigantic being cancelled is that the huge box office failure of Big Friendly Giant probably had a lot to do wit the producers thinking releasing another movie wit similar premise was way too risky , one of those aspects is that in BFG there's also other larger giants than the protagonist one that bully him

@@kittykittybangbang9367 It's better than Ralph breaks the internet I'll give it that. I thought Frozen 2 was boring, unnecessary, and contrived. This magical barrier was here all this time and we are just acknowledging it. I don't care about the origin of Elsa's powers she was born with them was enough. Why did elsa freeze. I don't get it. The message wasn't as heartwarming as the first movie. 1st movie: You should be open with your emotions rather than bottle them up. If you bottle them up you mostly hurt your self when people want to help. This movio uhh............Be nice to native Americans or something.
I want it. I want it so badly, but every year that passes makes it seem even less likely.

Disney probably cancels many many projects not just Gigantic. I think they should have finished it. Who better to make something like this? I think it just needed more than Inma finding out Jack was real

@@RealRiise What is even rarer is having a giantess as the main character. Last time I can remember that happening was in Monsters vs Aliens. And that movie is 12 years old now.

This was a great video, although I’m a little disappointed in the lack of information we have about this movie. For something that was made in 2017 and pushed back to 2020 to not even have a shred of animation see the light is insane. look at Club Wildlife/WildLife it had very few storyboards and apparently even little writing but we uncovered tons of story art and even a 15 second test run animation! Well, at least in some parallel universe they have the complete movie made and published.
similarities between "mickey and the beanstalk" and "indiana jones and the temple of doom", a magic object is taken from a prosperous village, the village becomes desolate.
The singing harp looks like willie scott, and they're both singers.
Similarity between disney's "sleeping beauty" and "indiana jones and the temple of doom"
elephant throws willie in the water; samson the horse throws philip in the water; willie and philip sitting in water in the same position, same look on their faces.
disney's treasure island /caravan of courage (ewok adventure) : bobby driscoll tries to walk like pirates; eric walker tries to walk like ewoks (the list goes on and on so I'll stop here);
"close encounters of the third kind" wonderful tribute to pinocchio and disney in general
tributes to peter pan all ever everything spielberg did : big successes
as the similarities are subtle, not obvious, so non disney fans can't be bothered and pissed off by them, they didn't notice.

every tribute to disney's past : (when it's obvious) : "saving mr banks", "mary poppins returns" "meet the robinsons" "TOMORROWLAND" box office failures

@Mcheetah I wouldn’t be against Gigantic having a new story with an adult Inma.
Disney is not doing well zt present take for instance the flick Dr Who it is dissapointing to say the least. There was one black Dr why change it. It was written wholly for an English men. Disney should stick to their old concept which worked the magic.
