The Java mobile version is so good considering the limitations of a 2000's phone and how basic that platform is. Could pass off as a GBA port. I used to play it all the time in my old Nokia.

Yeah you can get the splatterhouse for the Xbox 360 and PS3 era. I will say it really does seem to have died due to very poor marketing, because I only found out about it through CZcams videos and such that obviously connected because I watched other splatterhouse videos like this and you are stating how you clearly didn't know about it either I'm sure there are probably tons of people out there that just had no idea that the game existed. FM Towns was powerful for that time, being an x86 system (80386 DX @ 16 MHz) with 1-2 MB RAM that could be expanded to 6. Fujitsu wanted it to compete with X68000. Also, the developer Ving knew how to make good arcade ports. RayForce (Layer Section) and Elevator Action Returns for Sega Saturn are also their work.
