Windscreen View | Stagecoach West Swindon Depot Open Day Shuttle: Depot - Bus Station

This was meant to be a Bristol VR but Matthew from Wyvern Preservation Group decided to swap it for a Scania N250UD with ADL Enviro400 MMC bodywork to have “something different”. He gave a great set of horns at 0:43, I’ll grant him that!
I will not apologise for somebody else ruining the view from 9:06 onwards, that was totally out of my control. The best thing I could do was raise the camera and angle it downwards - it’s not as good but better than nothing, at least we can still see the steering wheel 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks. Didn’t think there’d be much point filming the back on this run as it was an MMC on 30mph max roads plus it’s a unique opportunity for windscreen view I might not ever get to do again

ah right. still sounded ok for an MMC though, usually sluggish or quite rattly

What bus is it as the steering wheel doesn’t look like the usual 400mmc gold one.

It is the usual Gold Enviro400 MMC. It’s a 55 branded Scania chassis one at Swindon depot (which actually features in this video!)

@@okay3256 Probably because you’re used to seeing ADL steering wheels whereas that’s a Scania one. There’s only one batch of Gold spec Scania MMCs, all 9 are at my new local depot in Swindon
They stray onto my local S6 everyday and I happen to be on one right now as I comment this, 15343!
