I'm so sorry Lisa! The hardest part of having pets is knowing we will likely outlive them and it will likely end in sadness. But the beauty is that even with that knowledge we choose to bond with them and cherish the time we share together.

@@Mori-chandesu awesome. I visited Ishinomaki for an afternoon when I headed out to Tashirojima. I only had time to take a photo with the Kamen Rider 1 statue and head off! I would love to go back and visit the musuem.

I love that you're choosing to help the cat rescues with the money you earn from your stationary business. That's so sweet. Cats are life.
Sharla, regarding your clothes situation. Science found, that on average we tend to wear approx. 30 clothes items overall, not more not less. This beeing said, you might wanna try to find out which 30 you could pick to shrink the wardrobe down. Having clothes that are combineable with each other also helps. I've done it myself, and boy it's a relief! Way easier to get dressed and I got creative with accessoires and new combos out of the comfort zone. :) Good luck for your new home !

Not many insect problems in Morioka at all! Except for the hornets on the patio, haha.

Our 15 yr old sweet tortoise shell calico, she allows my hubby and I to rub her belly. We know she just really trust us cuz my other cat never let us do that!

Where I’m from all the hydrangeas are bright pink. It takes time and patience to make the soil acidic enough to turn the flowers blue. It does seem luxurious to have so many blue flowers. 😁

Yes, my semi-long hair cat also has curly hair! Only on her belly/underside.
My persians all have had curly hair on their bellies, too.
One of my short haired cats has hidden curls/waves in his coat. He is a bengal and has waves on the underside of his tail and some hidden on his back beneath the upper layer of his coat. Strange that that happens with cats just like us. I have some waves at the back of my head underneath my other hair too.

I don't know, but I had a feeling it was Sendai. I will be spending a few days in each of the main cities in each prefecture in Tohoku. I have friends in Sendai so will be spending a bit more time there.

Andiamo means “Let’s go!” or “Hurry up!” in Italian, my mom yells it to me all the time lol

My cat Stan never forgave me for going on holiday for a week without him lol. He was lovely, black and shiny outdoor cat. He had to retire to Wales in UK with my parents, sadly I was allergic to him. That was the final coffin in his anger, he would not look at me when I came to visit.

I totally understand you, I had workers just outside of my flat for almost two months this spring, the noise became my daily wake up call as they started at 6am and usually ended 12 hours later. It was just bliss when all the repairs were over. Hope you like new city and can't wait for some video-tours of the area. Luckily, there is some greenery too, a lot of historical sites and many parks too.
