I’m used to cherries being a really dark red. Probably much more ripe when they get to the supermarket (just as I wrote this, Sharla was explaining how they are different from the sort you get in Canada/western countries)
Different type of cherry. Rainier cherries are yellow red. Bing are dark red. I don't know what the bright red is.
Oh and weird she is nfrom the place Rainier cherries are from to not know yellow red cherries.

Yeah. Either this is just a coincidence or this is very old footage from back before Journey Across Japan. Which would be before October 2018 if I’m not mistaken.
That is, indeed, why they were commenting on those hats being familiar.
i watched this while having breakfast on my terrace on a really hot summer day. idk why, but it gave a really nice contrast to the rainy but summery atmosphere in the video! love your editing on this, sharla! 💙

loved the sound of the rain, very relaxing.
When I was young, a friend of mine and I came across a cherry tree where the cherries were so ripe they were falling off the tree.
No one seemed to be picking them, so one day we decided to go ahead and take some.
I took off my jacket and we used it as a bag to hold them in, and we ended up with WAY too many cherries.
That was the day we learned why it's a bad idea to eat too many cherries ... just trust me, don't do it or your stomach will rebel : (
You have the best adventures! ;) Your friend is hilarious! I love when he's on your vlog! :) In Canada...I love the Ranier Cheeries from BC(they are yellow)...they are the sweetest & the best! They are in season right now & I get them at the Farmer's market. (They are usually done in 4 weeks...then nothing available but the red ones after that.) They usually aren't sold at the local grocery store. Only the red ones are sold in the grocery store. :(
