After Effects and Andrew Kramer were a staple for me as an amateur. Now using Resolve, Fusion nodes are a steep learning, I find it frustrating, but thankfully channels like yours are on here.

Oh yeah, Andrew Kramer is the man. If there are any others like this you'd wanna see, always feel free to let us know!

@@swataramedia working on a short, the director wants one of the characters change for an instant into a demonic character.
So I am torn between adding a 3d head in blender and texturing it with her face. Or just painting on her face in Fusion with a surface tracker. Haven't got a clue what to do. So looking on yourube, but nothing looks convincing enough.

This was soo helpful! Finally understood the Camera Tracker :D I really like these long in depth tutorials!
Also, instead of adjusting the Aspect manually, I like to merge it over a transparent background to get the comp size.

Hi Chris. Great video! It would be interesting that besides this one you do more recreation of other epic videocopilot tutorials.

Very good tutorial. i have enjoyed watching it a lot. These different layers, which goes into the building are very creative. You could also choose a reference frame, allign elements in 2D, then duplicate the camera, unlock it and remove all keyframes except the one on the reference frame. pipe in the elements into this new camera which is set to projector /texture. Then use a catcher node into the alligned image plane. I think, this way you can be a bit more precise with alligning things. But this is just a different approach.

Are you on discord? We've started a server for the channel and at the moment that'll be the best way for me to answer questions about the videos. The link is in the description if you're inclined!

can i do it on the free version?

For this specific technique, no. But you may be able to get away with using the planar tracker on the buildings rather than using the 3D camera tracker.
