- In this video I'll say goodbye to my version of Azul since I found a cool replacement: Azul Mini, a nice travel version of the original that I like a lot.
Description on BoardGameGeek: "In the game Azul, players take turns drafting colored tiles from suppliers to their player board. Later in the round, players score points based on how they've placed their tiles to decorate the palace. Extra points are scored for specific patterns and completing sets; wasted supplies harm the player's score. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins."

Yes, it does! Then, it would be perfect.
@@SirThecos No. Perfect would be making your custom adjustment standard. One extra cloth (or at least non transparent) pouch to secure the smaller loose items within the travel bag, also serving the discard container function. You won't even need to refill one with the other: just swap bags.
@@marcelrombouts8607 Yes, that would be even better - just like I added my own dice bag. Still, I think that this version shows how travel editions of games should be done, even if it can be improved even further.
It might be a good idea to put a strip of sticky back velcro on either side of the button. I think that would secure the bag plenty well enough to be flipped upside down without worrying about something falling out.

I'm definitely keeping my old version, but if they ever release the other Azul games in mini version, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Manufacturer: please, a mini Azul Master Chocolatier! My only misgiving is that the central part of the factory holder looks a little small - maybe holds ten tiles?
Yeah, it's a bit small but it works for what it wants to achieve. 🙃
Ohhhhh! That's nice. That's exponentially better than what I thought this product will offer (I was worried the tiles would be overly tiny, but it doesn't seem so).
Me too! When I first saw it I didn't expect it to be good. But I like to try many things regarding board games and I'm happy I did give this a chance! 😁

I have Azul Stained Glass of Sintra and Azul Summer Pavillion so I was unsure if I wanted purchase the original Azul. Then, the mini Azul was released and meets my need especially since the cost is about half of the original Azul. The built in scoring mechanism is much better than the small cubes that scatter every where with original Azul, especially with 4 players. I agree that the bag needs to fully shut so the small tiles and factories do not fall out. I may need to add a zipper or velcro. Played it once a train with the lap trays. We did drop a few tiles when handling them because they are quite slippery. Other kind passengers helped us find the tiles. Since the cost is more affordable than original Azul, I bought a few extras for gifts. Enjoy mini Azul!
I agree that this makes a good gift since it's a really good game and the mini version is nearly perfect. Of course, the tiles don't have the same weight but they're good nonetheless. 😁

Azul mini makes the game perfect for the beach and travel. The scoring marker and place holders get rid of the originals bump problems

So this is MUCH cheaper than the full size version. Same game? This is the version I bought. No brainer.
Sure, the original feels nicer but in essence, that was also my thinking.

well, basically, this "little bag" doesn't take that much less space than the original box... :D
Oh, it definitely takes less space, especially when you toss it in a bag or so. But I guess you might be able to make it even smaller. 😅
But when playing, where do you toss the pieces that were used?

Gameplay-wise they're the same. The original has nicer and larger tiles but I see no reason to own the original if you can have the mini, just because it's so well done.
