Yes eventually Storm Shadow gets jealous and that strain their relationship, but was just after he had saved Snake eyes life, bring him a home and helped though a big depression, and still required a lot of peer pressure, being basically disinherited, mocked and miss blamed for a murder. That's why Snake eyes never kills Storm Shadow, because deep inside he feels guilty about ruining the life of the person who helped him (even when is not really his fault) and because there were true brotherhood.
After reading the comic books and watching the snake eyes movie I got to say the snake guy movie was the modern day version of the comic book and this scene is good but it’s not accurate so sorry but it ain’t good please don’t get mad it’s just my opinion
Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow's backstory here feels much more believable than the recent film imo. The reason why Storm-Shadow failed as a student is because he always wanted to prove to his master that he was the top of his class out of fear and jealousy, and showed no regard of compassion or fellowship to his own adoptive brother. Thus, the master disapproved of his lack of humility. Snake-Eyes, in spite of the fact he repeatedly got knocked down, always got back up, and through his perseverance, became the top of his class. Storm-Shadow, out of a sense of wounded pride, killed their master. Those who aim to remain top dog are often unworthy.

@@devlinsmith942 Well they changed Aquaman, he’s a Samoan not a blonde guy like in the comics, guess what..it’s perfectly fine. Sometimes it’s better to move on.
The Hard Master was not a very good teacher. Storm Shadow beat Snake Eyes several times and the Master never offered a word of approval or encouragement, he just kept doing that disappointed act (which probably made Storm Shadow work harder to be a better warrior); but Snake Eyes beats him once, and is suddenly top of the class. Sure, Storm Shadow had a pride and anger problem that the Hard Master noticed, but how many times did we see the Master pull him aside to guide him and help him to get those problems under control?
You're right! The Hard Master basically fostered Storm Shadow to have those feelings of anger. If he was a good sensei, he would've corrected it before Storm Shadow's hatred grew.
Hard Master is a very old school teacher. If he just tip toed his students to their goals, then they would be too weak. He needs them to gain a sense of humility and independence so when in real combat, they'll stand a chance.
That first night, he wanted storm shadow to understand compassion. He kept pairing them, hoping that storm shadow would not only help get snake eyes up to speed, but learn to look past his anger and see snake eyes as a person. Every time storm shadow just beat snake eyes, he showed disappointment that Storm Shadow was missing the point.
Me and my brothers went to see snake eyes last night and they didn’t like how the movie make snake eyes an Asian instead of white. @@danleonhart1I thought this snake eyes in the movie shows how he lose his voice box and get his face burned or gets eyes blinded (like blind master has) by storm shadow betrayal towards end of the movie final battle. Later snake eyes get rescued by blind master and his crew and storm shadow escape the battle to join Cobra. At the end, blind master gave snake eyes new outfit to hide his real identity’s and to cover up his wounded. Not only that, blind master gave snake eyes a second chance to redeem himself of what he done to master homeland and almost got his whole clan killed. That’s what make him snake eyes to become better person and better ninja clan. That is what we thought the movie is all about but no.
No, this is Hollywood's bullshit origin for Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes wasn't some orphaned kid growing up on the streets of Tokyo. What would an American kid be doing there anyway? Snake Eyes is a blonde, blue eyed American kid who grew up in a small town in a middle class family with his parents and twin sister, Terri. His call sign came from when his father wished him luck in the Army but also warned him not to gamble with his life or else he'd "roll snake eyes." He enlisted in the Army when he was 18 and joined the Army Rangers, where he was assigned to a LRRP(Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) unit with Lonzo "Stalker" Wilkinson, Wade Collins, and a Japanese American Tommy Arashikage(Storm Shadow). Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Stalker became close friends until Snake Eyes was injured in combat and Tommy saved his life. Upon being honorably discharged from the Rangers, Snake Eyes returned home only to learn that his parents and twin sister were killed in a car accident by a drunk driver while they were on their way to pick him up at the airport. A devastated Snake Eyes then took up an offer from his friend, Tommy Arashikage, to come to Japan to work in the "family business," which happened to be a shinobi(ninja) assassins society. After training and mastering the martial arts, Snake Eyes was offered a permanent place in the clan by his master, Tommy's uncle, but Snake Eyes' master was killed by an unknown assassin who was actually targeting Snake Eyes. Many suspected that it had been Tommy, who was jealous of Snake Eyes seemingly taking such a high position in the clan that was rightfully his. Snake Eyes left Japan and returned to the United States, living in a remote cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains with his pet wolf, Timber, and was later rumored to be a werewolf by the native American inhabitants of the area. Stalker went to visit his old friend, Snake Eyes, along with Colonel Clayton "Hawk" Abernathy to offer him a position in a new covert operations strike team that had been named "G.I. JOE." Snake Eyes left with Hawk and Stalker to join his new unit, where he met counter-intelligence officer Shana "Scarlett" O'Hara and began a romantic relationship with her that has lasted to this day. Snake Eyes and Scarlett were involved in an assignment in the middle east to rescue a kidnapped diplomat when their helicopter malfunctioned and collided with another helicopter. The side helicopter door slammed shut, trapping Scarlett in her harness. While the rest of the crew bailed out of the chopper, Snake Eyes remained behind to free Scarlett, when an explosion burst through the helicopter door window, hitting Snake Eyes in the face. The helicopter crashed, but Snake Eyes successfully carried Scarlett out of the burning wreckage while his head was still on fire. Snake Eyes suffered severe injuries to his face which took extensive reconstructive surgery to repair, and the nerves in his vocal chords had been damaged, reducing his voice to barely a whisper. Snake Eyes' face is nearly fully restored, with only a single scar running diagonally across his face, his voice has never fully recovered, which is why he wears a mask and almost never speaks.

There is a big difference between fighting with respect and honor versus simply trying to harm someone that's simply why their Sensei favored Snake eyes he knew what the true understanding of ninjitsu was.
Likely because Storm Shadow has a flair of arrogance. In any form of Asian martial arts, showing arrogance towards your opponents will only earn you disdain from your tutor(s).
The master never clapped whenever storm shadow won because he was fighting someone that was inexperienced, put it this way, if a black belt and white belt sparred, would you praise the black belt for beating up a newbie??? Absolutely not, however if the white belt somehow pulled of a win you’d be far more impressed
Nope, he’s always been white. That’s why a lot of fans are eye rolling...it’s not just because they can’t respect the source material, it’s because him being an outsider is important to his character.
Can you really blame Storm Shadow for being pissed? He trained in martial arts longer than Snake Eyes did and was better than him as kids only for Snake to win one match later and be favored by the master.
I think it makes sense Storm Shadow killed his master in this movie. Because during his final fight with Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow mocks how Snake Eyes took a vow of silence after he killed his master just to aggravate Snake Eyes.
I think Storm shadow is arrogant brat that love to beat and humiliate his opponents. While the master was giving praise to the one that needed encouragement, snake eyes. Getting beaten for the first time, it was something that he couldn’t take. Also the fact that he got praise must of seemed like a betrayal. This pride couldn’t let that stand so he killed his master. For revenge and to hurt Snake Eyes.
Why did they have the kid speak Korean though. That's such an easy fix that it almost seems like the director wanted to seem totally culturally ignorant. I mean that's like making a scene where a French guy in Paris speaks Italian.
@locomojoboy2 This is a lot closer to the source material. Only thing is that Snake Eyes got his face disfigured by an explosion in Vietnam and his vocal cords were burned as well, which made him mute. In this film he took a vow of silence after the death of his master. And yes Snake Eyes is American not Asian
This most certainly. Snake Eyes being a white American was a crucial part of his character. That's why Storm Shadow hated him so much, he was an outsider, yes Storm Shadow was a racist and didn't like the factor an outsider was on equal footing if not better than him. THat alone is more interesting then the generic shit we get in the new movie.

Nope, he’s always been white. That’s why a lot of fans are eye rolling...it’s not just because they can’t respect the source material, it’s because him being an outsider is important to his character.
@@tonio-yo2612 excactly my thoughts 👌👍
@@tonio-yo2612 Hollywood never learn to respect the source material.
Bruh,This movie didn't even respect the source material either!
@@digimon3522 At least it got Snake Eyes right!
I remember this part
Storm Shadow: YOU ATE ALL MY BEANS!??
Eion thanks snake eyes
Can you really blame Storm Shadow for being pissed? He trained in martial arts longer than Snake Eyes did and was better than him as kids only for Snake to win one match later and be favored by the master.
But he didnt need to kill his master
I think it makes sense Storm Shadow killed his master in this movie. Because during his final fight with Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow mocks how Snake Eyes took a vow of silence after he killed his master just to aggravate Snake Eyes.
@OK just found it was zartan never seen this
@@thrifty7774 Rumors are he didn't kill his master.
I'm confused why snake eyes hides his looks now
He took on an oath of silence and concealment for life ever since the death of his master.
@@SoldierOfFate or his face got badly injured during the Vietnam Mission
Rajnoor Brar this version it was set modern day(when it came out i’m pretty sure) I believe he was still in a bad accident in these movies

Eion headbut
Why did they have the kid speak Korean though. That's such an easy fix that it almost seems like the director wanted to seem totally culturally ignorant. I mean that's like making a scene where a French guy in Paris speaks Italian.
According to wikipedia's Storm shadow is Korean in the movie.
It's a requirement that the Arashikage members know several languages.
the guy who plays the older storm shadow is Korean. They changed their origins to Korean so
WUT.
Full of energy
Did you know the kid that acted as Anakin Skywalker in star wars was bullied growing they would make saber noises and
Which is correct or closest to the source material? Their origins here, or in the new Snake Eyes movie?
Thank you, guys.
The only thing you need to know is the new movie ruined snake eyes for me
Haaaaaaaa I love when kids fights and get them self hurt😌😌😌
snake eyes looks sick
It looks meh now but back in 2009 7 year old me went crazy over that
I watch this movie called 5th commandment where a kid was being trained to be an assassin always thought he was the same kid that played kid snake eyes they look so much alike check that movie out if u haven't already good movie
I came here cause I just seen snake eyes movie and they changed his whole origin 🤨
Yeah I thought i was crazy
@@tenkskun I hate when movies do that he couldn’t talk since he was a kid
Storm Shadow: "He's a cure, a weakling!"
Master: "He does not fight like one"
One of the best lines to describe Snake Eyes
Woah, so Jack from Disney XD Kickin' It was a ninja in training, before he left to learn karate
So started Flaming Dragon.
And their love of Simple Jack.
I love snake eyes man
Young Snake Eyes (Leo Howard)
Young Storm Shadow (Brandon Soo Hoo)
Snake Eyes is my favorite character of gi joe.
That looks like the dude who played Jack in kickin it
Its him
So Jack never told his karate friends that he’s snake eyes and kind of a superhero
The master reminds me of my Hapkiyoosool master. Takes you in, first shows you the way of Christianity then when you’re ready shows you the true form of hapkido.
Top of class snake eyes
I Love dis move
Me: yo little snake eye sounds like adult snake eyes 0:46
