대구 리안갤러리에서 열리고 있는 전시 ㅣHERE & MORE : 단색조 넘어, 너머로ㅣ는 단색화의 정신을 이어가면서도 저마다 독자적인 작품 세계를 구축한 김근태(1953~ ), 김춘수(1957~ ), 김택상(1958~ ), 남춘모(1961~ ), 이진우(1959~ ) 작가의 작품을 선보인다.
이번 전시는 5인의 참여 작가들이 자신만의 고유한 단색조 작품을 통해 ‘단색화’라는 용어의 한계를 극복하고 동시대 미술에 대한 좌표를 만들어가는 여정이다.
전시 기획은 정준모 전 국립 현대미술관 학예실장이 맡았으며 전시는 2024년 1월 13일까지 진행된다.
The group exhibition Here & More, currently on view at Leeahn Gallery Daegu, showcases a selection of works by Kim Keun-tai, Kim Tschoon-su, Kim Taek-sang, Nam Tchun-mo, Lee Jin-woo, who are furthering the legacy of the Dansaekhwa movement.
The unique monochromatic paintings generated by the five artists extend the boundaries of the term ‘Dansaekhwa’ and invite the viewer to redefine what contemporary art is.
The exhibition, curated by Jeong Jun-mo, former head of Curatorial Office at Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, closes on January 13th, 2024.
