We're a DIY family building our "forever homestead" from 15 acres of raw undeveloped land in Tennessee. All of our content is family friendly and safe for everyone to enjoy.
Today we have 44 tons of gravel delivered to our new homestead build site to lay the base of our new driveway. We chose #4 stone or 1-1/2" stone as the base layer. We called the local rock quarry to have them deliver it. The dump truck driver also spread the rock for us, saving tons of time and money! Tailgate spreading, dump and spread, tailgating gravel, and more!

Your boys are so boys! Laying there trying to cover himself in rocks made me laugh out loud! When my son was 6 or 7 when he came in for bath time we had a special box for all his pocket treasures he had accumulated throughout the day, rocks,paper, dead worms, etc

Isaac, just melted my heart at the end of this video laying in that gravel. He reminded me of my son at that age.Nothing is more fun for a boy then some gravel and dirt to play in. Ooops I forgot some sand. I would have to go outside and turn my son's pockets inside out before washing them as I never knew what was in them.
I am so Happy for you two that the gravel is down and you can get your beautiful camper moved there. Such an exciting time for you both and the boys.

The filming with the Drone along with the editing and the music was really spectacular! I think the best part of the video was watching Isaac lay on the pile of rock and cover himself with rocks and then also watching the masterful take off of the Drone from your minivan. Great video! I know the feeling, some fourty years ago we bought our first house, It needed a window in the attic - as we found out after living there for about half a year. So we got a contractor to place a window! It was a great and memorable moment. House owners we were who used a contractor! In that day and age it was a threehundred dollar job. (Actually a 1000 Dutch guilders, the dollar was strong those days).

I've been watching you for a couple years and I'd have to say yall are in my top 2 favorite CZcams families!!! Yall are definitely living my dream. Im remodeling my mobile home currently(past 2yrs) and ive learned soooo much from you. I wish I knew what cameras to get so I could start recording what I do. Im a single mom to a 3yr old boy, 2yr old boy, and a 1yr old girl while remodeling. Currently I paint my hallway/living room when the kids are asleep!! Love watch you guys!!! I sold my old place and have to be off by Dec 31 and still have so much to pack up and move it is overwhelming at times. I love your videos and and it lifts my spirits to sit down, take a coffee break and watch your latest adventures! The drive sure looks nice!

I was having trouble paying attention to you two talking because I was fascinated with Isaac in the gravel pile 😄
One thing I've learned is that bigger gravel, which is GREAT for driveways, sucks to walk on. Unless you get some smaller gravel to put on top of it which fills the voids!! Usually you guys are a project or two ahead of us, but this time we've actually done this first! We're certainly not gravelologists either, but have learned the smaller aggregate added on top really make a big difference for foot traffic. (BTW, we shoveled and wheelbarrowed a full load to get around our whole house. It's a LOT of work!)
So excited to see this happening and can’t wait for it to start.
