I got the most enjoyment out of how much fun you all got out of it! Very good job Sam! There's always that little shot of adrenaline no matter how well you think you've prepared.:-)
Im glad you did decide to share this Sam, its interesting to me to see how you live and how you have changed over the past few years .Do you look back on previous vids at moments in your lives and think wow , how we have grown as a family . You will no doubt see changes in the the boys .
That was very exciting and I'm glad you let us come along. I hope you are able to salvage alot and keep it dry for your fire pit. And a great teaching lesson for Angela and the boys. Did you mention the kind of tree it is? See you all
Having fun watching you folks clear the land (just the right amount) . Nature education at its finest Angela! Kids actually REMEMBER what they learn thata way. Bless you all.
Don’t miss the opportunity to teach about growth rings. And future lesson on dating wooden objects by comparing them to known standard growth patterns. I was amazed as a kid to realized some old trees had been alive before the creation of America.
Nice to start with a dead one that big. We had to do like Josh and take out upper branches. We had some huge old maples all close to the house. God was good when the storms came in that they didn’t damage the house. It’s a feat to fell them well. Great job Sam. Yes chaps are a must.
I was surprised it exploded as it did. It was on the verge of coming down one way or another. Great Blessing it went the way your were hoping with its condition so bad. Good job Green Acre Homestead! Are y’all near Jacobs Tent? Shalom 🕊
Great job on felling the tree. It will still provide a lot of firewood even if its spongy. I use all the junk wood I have for campfires. I save the good wood for heating my home. It was a safety issue that's for sure. Congratulations!
If that was cotton wood they are always wet at first but dry to cement at least that has been my experience. Good thing it came down that way and sure does make it safer for all of you!
I just found your videos today and have watched several. When we first got married (in 1976) we lived in a 4 room apartment. Then in 1977 we bought our first mobile home. It was a 1968 Americana. It was 12' x 56', was 2 bedrooms and one bath. We lived in that until 1985 when we bought a 1984 Commodore Comet, 14' x 80', 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom. It had sat unsold on the sales lot of the owner of the park we lived in. He took our old one as a down payment. We lived in it for about 4-5 years and then moved it to a different park. Our kids were young then and we felt that a park setting would always give them someone to play with. Fast forward to 2003 and we sold it and bought a house. In watching your videos, it made me REALLY REALLY miss our mobile home, especially the rain on the metal roof. We'd always talked about moving it to property but decided to buy a house instead. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I knew then what I know now, we'd have stayed in the trailer and moved it to property. Your little guys are adorable. I was going to ask how old they were and then you talked about their ages. Our son is 43 and has 2 boys of his own and a step son. They range in age from almost 20 to almost 16. Our daughter is 40 and also has 2 sons and a step daughter who is 20. We are truly blessed. I look forward to watching more of your videos but think I am going to switch to your channel. What I'm watching is a "Mix" but they are not in order. Stay safe and well and God Bless all of you.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, it was wonderful to read! Oh yes, the "mix" will only mix you up on things. :) Here's our "video" page, at least it can be organized better. :) Welcome to our channel! czcams.com/users/GreenAcreHomesteadvideos
I'm also new to tree cutting. Most of mine went where I wanted. Couple did not. After that I started using wedges and watched a lot more videos. I was worried for your camper too. Glad it went well.
Good video. Have the boys counted the rings to see how old the tree is? Glad all went well and you didn't have to encounter any of the many things that "might" happen. Stay safe and you have an excellent saw there.........we used those for years and I believe we still have our original one. Had a few of those saw over the years and have cut many a tree. We have replanted tons as well but it's healthy to get those dead ones out as they can be very dangerous! Blessings and Happy Holidays!
Wow what a relief. Didn’t catch on other trees and fell beautifully. 🇦🇺❤️👍loved the drone shots.
I got the most enjoyment out of how much fun you all got out of it! Very good job Sam! There's always that little shot of adrenaline no matter how well you think you've prepared.:-)
I'm so happy that the tree 🌳 didn't yell "Hey I'm about to crash you " ! , Great job Sam ! 😊👍💕💕💕

That tree stump would make a great base for a picnic table. In the shade close to a kitchen, bathroom, and other things.
Backyard "field trip" Homeschool style.. Yes! Hügelkultur! Awesome for gardening.
From tree to mulch in 5 seconds. That thing was very dead.
Sams yell was perfect lol good job guys!!

thank you for sharing with us
So cool! Were you able to see the rings of the tree to determine its age? Glad to hear a “timber” 😆 That is always fun to yell. 😎
It was a giant tree for sure. Seeing it from the clouds was fun. Great keeping things far away. Thank God for His protection. God bless!
I think you were supposed to say “hold my beer!” first, Sam! Well done… 😎
