This whole no one believed in Jared Goff thing is crazy to me, Goff was the #1 pick whom early in his career helped his team get to a Superbowl. Just cuz McVay was over him it feels like everyone jumped off the Goff train even harder than I thought. Maybe being out in Los Angeles it was different cuz many of us were asking why the Rams traded the young QB that got the team to a Superbowl for the older veteran that hasn't won a playoff game. Many people in LA never wanted Goff to leave &many of us knew that Lions were getting a quality QB

    • @MoMoMyPup10

The 9'ers made it with Kaepernick too, but that doesn't mean the football world believed in him as a franchise QB. Fans of the team that took Goff #1 will always be the last to realize the guy isn't him. Just like the Jets and Sanchez -- because he took them to back-to-back AFC title games many Jets fans thought he was still 'the guy' to build around, even though it was clear to others that he wasn't him. Goff wasn't very good with LA, honestly, but he grew up as a QB in Detroit and sometimes that happens (Geno in Seattle).

I understand it to a degree because there is too much to lose (they make too much money) to rock the boat. It still does nothing for journalistic integrity (which few of them have) or a large population of the public having any real respect for their opinions (unless like a large percentage of the population you don’t care as long as they align with your own views). Most of them should sit out when it comes to talking about larger societal issues, especially commenting on another person’s personal views that have nothing to do with them.
