Volk needs to take a break. He has gotten brutally KO’ed two consecutive times now. This one was worse than Islam’s head kick.
Yeah arguably retire IMO. He’s older and got his legacy don’t want to see him ruin it. Think this might just be the end of Volk😢
A break 😱 more like he needs to retire. He's already 35 years of age
Volk has one more good fight left in him at 145
He needs to take a long time away
Move up to Lightweight and fight some of the veterans
He doesn’t need to retire. Will he be champ again? No, probably not, but Volk can hang with contenders for sure if he wants. Definitely needs a break after two brutal losses though.
Alex likes to be active and not at home. This happened because of the Islam rematch, so the head kick was worse than this one because it lead to this very thing, unfortunately...
Video posted before the tooth hit the ground. Thanks, B! Great stuff as always!
Lolol
😂
The OG cutman STITCH mentions using some type of adrenaline into the cuts to close up the blood from pouring 🤷
Would be awesome to have him on here breaking stuff down
💀💀
There's something so satisfying watching a medical doctor explain injuries that happen in everyday sports.. we learn so much even when most of us don't even study medicine.. thanks Doc.!!
totally. he explains why that badass thing we saw was actually so much more badass than we thought
Love that people truly enjoy learning. It can be such a brutal sport so taking anything positive away is always nice
Wow so interesting and informative
Then why didn't you show love to his comment?! @@BrianSuttererMD
so you dont like mma gurus expert break down?
God damnit, you're fast
He made this before the fight started
that’s what she said
@@MacBazathen how is the clip of the KO in the video
@@MacBaza how he get KO before it happened then
@@alexdouang1589 He's joking. look at the time of this video. 🤣
Topuria has done this again and again throughout his career. He's 27.
Yet hes not even close to the greatness of Volk
@@ByTexifyVolk became champ at 30. Also, volks ufc debut was in 2016 at 26 years old. So yes at this point in time, comparatively, he is way beyond volk at his ripe age of 27.
@@prestong2668 Which just makes what Volk did way more impressive when he started MMA at an older age than Topuria. Who the fuck has Topuria fought or defended the belt against? Just bums compared to Volks record, Cringelia Topuria El corny mcgregor wannabe to be humbled pretty soon by Evloev
@@prestong2668 Cringelia will never surpass what Volk has done in the sport mark my words. Hes already trying to run away from the competition claiming Evloev has 4 split decisions on his record when its only 1 out of 8 in the ufc thats a split
@@ByTexify How is a guy with basically zero finishes yet undefeated going to humble him. Using the word humble is absurd. Could he beat him, maybe, but humble him…
This guy does a video and posts it up immediately in the middle of the night for us. What a stud.
Ya welcome :)

Love the breakdown of the muscle physiology!!!! More of these
We love these. Please keep em up. Thank you for the breakdowns. I always look forward for these Dr.!
Never watched your channel but dropping this so soon I stumbled on this video and love this content, good shit 👌
Welcome!! Lots of sports stuff I try to cover, not just ufc. Thanks for the comment
Saaame!!!
Love the quick vids
The energy Topuria gets from his lower body is enormous. Legs to core and explode.. Mike Tyson knew a little about that. Called this happening. Love it
yes, the power is in the hips, not the arms, we learned that too..
Very quick video, nice 🔥🔥
That right hand was there. I for once passed on gambling on this one. Volk was gonna piece him up and win a decision, or get clapped hard by Ilia. It was the latter AND he earned it by fighting with the champ for more than a minute or two. Great breakdown Doc, the sequence/combination was beautiful.
The fact that you produce these so quickly is admirable. You edit these videos to a high level (are you your video editor?) quickly! Thanks Doc
I hope he didn't just get Chuck Lidell'd😢
Man I'm saying would be a DAMN SHAME
Chuck is in CTE city from rashad evans. I think volk would be alright if he would but he won't...
I heard after you get KO’d once, you are more likely to get KO’d again just from your brain trying to protect your body from whatever activity you are doing.
I love those breakdown, I was actually making reference to your previous knockout videos to my friends while watching this one happing live on tv !!
Sick! Thanks

Bro! This was great. Excellent fight break down
Got yourself a new subscriber Doc! Great to see a channel dedicated to explaining the basics behind injury & sports medicine!! Keep up the great content!
Do a clip for junior taffa's leg...., de lima kicking was hard
I love your page. im a die hard sports fan. And this card front to back has me wired still. But im also a paramedic and to me its so satisfying how calm & confident an MD explains anything.I know they''ve been thru so much more schooling & clinical rotations than I myself had to go thru. being able to understand what you speak on gives me confidence with my own patients as a relatively new paramedic. I try to take note of the way you or any MD articulate and try to implement it when it seems appropriate. All so random right now but hey 🤷🏻♂😂
Awesome vid, learned loads - keep 'em coming
Exceptional breakdown, phenomenal performance by Topuria.
Thank you
Too sad to watch rn but your videos are great man.
Thanks!
This fight game is hard man, anything can happen thats why i love this sport

@@BrianSuttererMD and thank you too! thanks alot for the spoiler. no honor, no decency. who raised you ?
Don't be too down man, Volk will be back.
Great Work Brian! Amazing how much one can learn with your videos!
Damn, Doc, your vids on the KO are up quicker then results on Bleacher Report. Thanks for the info...

Wow, i didnt notice the tooth... Defenitly topurias punches are different
Damn volk fans won’t ever forget this lmao
Great video Brian. Love the fight & injury breakdowns 👍🏻😁
Doctor working overtime to make a video right after the fight is what we love!
Of course, cuz doing that will give him the most views.
Keep up the good work. One of the best channels on CZcams.
Wow, you were fast with this Doc. Thanks 👍
You bet
Thanks Doc. Especially for the comparison/breakdown explanation of the differences between the Whitaker/Costa vs the Volk/Topuria strikes and their consequences. Greatly appreciated.
Excellent analysis doctor Sutterer!
Awesome review well done. And alot of information. Good job
ur turnaround speed is hall of fame status
Thanks for the video, doc 👍🏽
Welcome back, doc!
Thanks Doc. Taking notes from your vids for training.
Good job doc! Love your videos
Awesome! Could you please do more? I can start searching for clips to send if that helps! Just want to learn more!
LOVE THESE👏
Excellent job Doc!
such a great breakdown analysis
Brian, you’re the best. You’re so damn good at what you do I love these videos. Even the nasty injuries.
Wow just found your channel and its nice to see a doctor explain it
Great analysis, didn’t notice the tooth the first time!
Incredible breakdown!
These are amazing
Glad you enjoyed it and hope you learned something
You’re a great anatomy teacher doc, I always learn something new.
As pointed out on, THE WEASLE's mma channel - for the KO blow, Topuria's right foot was not actually planted it was elevated(So about 40-60% less power than it should have been)- So most of that was from the other foot and insane rotational power of his core/back/shoulder - Dude has crazy POWER!!!
Love these breakdowns
very interesting doc !!! learned a lot from ur explanations. 👍
Saved me $80 and I get to learn a little. I appreciate these videos. Keep em coming
Learning and money haha, great combo
@@BrianSuttererMD 100% Hopefully we get you enough views to get your $80 back for you and then some.

“Conclusion: Concussion” I love it 😂
Thanks for the video.
Doc B with the quickness! Nice thank you for the breakdown.
I was thinking Volk was coming back too quick after the islam fight,
How long would you advise
Lay off time to be after ko/Tko?
Great explanation of how fighters are taught to hit. Spewin about vulks tooth, maybe he can watch this and learn further about the intricacies of fighting, stance etc.
Great work Doc!
i loved this!!!
Great vid, thanks
Very cool breakdown thanks..
Absolutely LOVE these....
Thank you!
Damn you are fast!😅
That's what she said😞
if you try this hip rotation technique on one of those outdoor calisthenics angled presses you can really feel the difference in power it generates for very little extra effort
Doc , you do a few rounds lately?
love these
Look at that TORQUE!
Amazing. 👏🏻👏🏻
Love the UFC injury breakdowns, however salty i may be about the fights 😂,keep it up 🔥.
great job Doc
Another important aspect of Topuria's rear right hook is how he delivered it accurately. He lines up Volks chin with his left hand before landing the right hook. You can see Topuria brush the exact spot he hits. Once he felt where Volks face was it became very instinctual to deliver it accurately. Some might say this is an overhand right but judging by the positioning of his body and hand it looks like a rear hook which carries an unbelievable amount of torque.
Doctors analysis: " you got knocked the F*** out!" 😂😂
Volk was doing so well speed & everything was there... that being said I love him, he's such a good dude & I don't want to see Volk to take the damage nor ruin his legacy 😢
😂😂😂
Doc u r best👏
Love your videos. Can you do one on the recent injury to Liverpool’s Diogo Jota?
Thanks Doc, 😎🤙
Man from a lifelong boxing fan, i hope all ufc fighters take a look a volk and izzy. These schedules are destroying them! Boxing champs fight a couple times a year, it prolongs their career and builds up fights and fighters more. Ufc does the opposite and we see in live time these declining in just a couple years. Tony, Jan, and just about anyone that fights 4 times a year. It’s probably not even the fights but the training and constant damage. Boxers take time to heal!
The movement to power the doc is speaking about regarding Topuria is known as kinetic linking, kinetic chain if anyone is interested. Presents a lot of wasted unnecessary movement. Good thing to learn about especially if you're into strength/power/striking movements, in which case... You're probably already aware.
dude uploaded this breakdown within 10 seconds of the fight next level youtube bag😭 respect tho
This was awesome
A few ideas / potential video concepts. Would be cool to see a series covering common sport injuries and prevention (ACL tears : quad/ham imbalance) etc. Not sure if you have experience in this but it would also be cool to learn more about professional athlete treatment be it in-game patching up, post-game recovery, injury rehab, and entry physicals, etc. The medical side of pro sports
I respect the grind
🙏
How do you put these videos out so fast lmao
Do we like these, do we not like these?
You kidding me? Im grateful CZcams pops you up like this, win or lose it is very helpful to understand the proper mechanics of what happened. Please do more content
Great vid as always. My only suggestion is you should think about hiring a guy who does sound effects
I would love a breakdown of why some weaker looking strikes/impacts result in KOs, while stronger ones don't seem to do anything to phase a fighter. This video was dope as always, keep it up!
As far as I know it comes down to a few things. The biggest one is the unexpected shots. If a fighter isn't expecting a shot, even if it's "light" it can still do lots of damage. On the contrary, bombs thrown can be eaten if the fighter is expecting the punch and is ready to brace and/or roll with it. The placement of the shot is also a big factor. Shots that land right on the button or temple can be devastating even if they appear light. Another factor is how much damage the fighter has already taken throughout his career (and the fight itself) that lessens his ability to take shots. Last thing is that everyone's chin is different. Look at max holloway lmao.
Bringing out the bowl and actually taking a bite did so much for the cereal ad. Thats why hes a doctor... Hes smart
Fighters should hire you to do film review in fight camp, I'm sure it would help them
I want Volk to retire after this, I don't want to see him end up like Tony Ferguson
Watching this video made me realize I need to work on my knockout power... with pillows. 😂
Wow this guy is quick 😂. Love the videos tho
Doc you didn't have to hit us with that thumbnail this soon
Dr heart this or I’ll get hurt for a video
Please no ha
Doctor, I have a theory:
Once you been knocked out chances of to be knocked next time are increasing, because your brain once shut off to prevent damage and next time it tries to do the same, maybe even earlier. that's why the fighters are never the same after being KOed once, right?
Wow good analysis doctor
Appreciate it
Dr, you're great, amazing cience class, after this lesson we have to think twice to practice MMA . Trainers have to hiring you.
Could you do a video on Cejudo’s forearm?
