He might've taken things a bit more seriously because he didn't play the game before, but if it wasn't for his persecution and struggle, he never would've gotten to the point in the story he is at now. He was almost forced to be the way he is because of the struggle he had had to go through.

cause first he wouldn't need slaves. so no raphtalia and no curse shield stopped. which reduce greatly stats. he would murder someone for sure. maybe a good portion of the country. he would grind far less because as more offensive he wouln't as much on edge as with the shield.

If it was confusing, Filo was affected by rage mode because she still has a shard of the dragon inside of her that she ate. Both shards were of the full core.

It's legally required to close your hand like that when doing finishing moves.

The soul eater was the wave boss. It even had a visible HP gauge at the top of the vision. There is a reason why Glass killed the second one, and not just for the worf effect.
FYI: Granny's level is the same as her age. In the light novel her son was also dropping bodies, but she had a bigger pile.

@@simonkelly1410 I forget the exact number, but when she showed up she said it was the same as her age. She later clarified it and is in her mid 90's. I want to say 96. In addition to being a high level she also very skilled, which adds to how dangerous she can be in a fight, as appose to someone who just relies on their level and equipment.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Ren (sword hero) wasn’t saying, “oh naofumi cheated.” Pretty sure he was more or less saying, “oh that shield power is broken and OP. It’s basically like a cheat code.”
Possession by wrath and regret, the dragons core projects the rage and harmonizes with the cursed shield of rage.
The biggest twist is that the voice actor of the sword hero was Kirito from Sword Art Online who was a cheater, so a nod to his old character and inspiration for the sword hero in the novels.
But the real real twist y’all probably don’t know is that an Iron Maiden was a punishment in Medieval times reserved for those “who got violent towards women” like the accusation Naofumi got.

At least Motoyasu actually cares about his comrades. Itsuki will through them under the bus if he thinks they're getting too much of the spotlight.
Ren: Thinks this world is a game and just wants to get stronger, doesn't work well with groups.
Motoyasu: Too gullible and will do anything a girl wants if he gets in her pants later.
Itsuki: Cares more about fame and glory than anything, wants to be worshipped like a god and won't tolerate anyone showing him up or telling him he's wrong.
Yes, the LN makes a very clear distinction between Motoyasu being a brainless tool who can't say no to a woman, and that Itsuki is a fake nice guy who gets his rocks off on admiration, even if he does "good" deeds in secret.

What I thought of the 4 heroes as I read the manga and watched the Anime -
Bow Hero: "Yes, what I think is always right because I am justice."
Sword Hero: "I am the chosen Edgelord God king Hero, Kirito, the Beater! Behold my epic slick cool moves! DARKNESSSS!"
Spear Hero ->>> *Yeah, just insert any quote from a Dumbass Jock Gamer fuckboi.

Notice that Ren, Itsuki and Motoyasu all agreed that they needed to summon a Soul Eater to move on. But nobody agreed on _how._ They all think the way that worked in the games they knew are the only correct path.
Acknowledging that they _don't_ know everything about this world would damage their sense of invincibility and their belief that they are the sole main character and that the other three are just rival protagonists.
It's not that Naofumi knows better than the other three. He just learns from their mistakes. Smart people admit to what they _don't_ know.

No, the Queen is not imprisoned or anything. More like on overseas visit for the UN.
With the waves coming in and the heroes being summoned, she needs to basically stop WW3 from breaking out.
You gotta understand that every hero is basically a Nuke, and the stupid king hogged them all to himself, hence the international crisis.
They're having so much trouble damaging the Wave boss because it's a ghost type enemy. Besides having a big lvl gap, they also don't have the right counter.
As I said before, the shield affects his psyche. His "cursed shield" almost developed its own personality after absorbing the dragon core. Think of it like Naruto' s fox, trying to eat him inside. He needs to control it to get stronger.
At this point just give up on the other heroes. They're practically useless.
You guys will start to hate Itsuki once we get further down in the story.

The three heroes are basically the three stooges.
Them getting wrecked by the Soul Eater is like only doing story missions in a game. Naofumi is doing side quests to get levels and stuff, that’s why he’s powerful enough to even damage it, but has to use an Ultimate to kill it… the other three are so underleveled as to be completely useless. My question is… how are they SUPPOSED to take these things on? Do nothing but level? Because this second wave was a SIGNIFICANT difficulty jump from the first, and that’s not even counting Glass being present this time.
