I got accepted to Harvard this year and I felt the exact same way you did -- the minute I realized I got in I felt like my whole world had changed. And that was also my first time crying tears of happiness. :P I was definitely nervous about putting myself out there to apply, but watching your videos made me feel like I had a chance (and they also helped debunk the 'Harvard students are no fun' stereotype. Though I found that out for myself anyway after meeting my classmates in the facebook group.)
So I just wanted to thank you for making such funny, inspiring, entertaining videos. I watched them while I was applying and not only did they make the application process a lot more fun, they also helped me feel like I had a chance. Which, as I guess it turns out, I did. :) Have a great senior year!

I recently got accepted to Harvard University under their Restrictive Early Action program. I’m so excited. Getting that acceptance letter, literally does change your life. I’m so excited!!!

I literally aspire to be you. U always have a low goal in life because all of my friends are smarter than me and even though I'm smart I feel dumb compared to them. But then life surprises me all the time and gives me better opportunities. I'm only 12 so I don't know how I found your channel but thanks for motivating me and keep making more videos

There are 3 ways to get into Harvard:
- Be rich, like really, really rich.
- Have really good connections, network, family name, fame.
- Have good grades.
Good grades is probably the least likely to get you into Harvard out of the three.
Most students go for free thanks to financial aid. And showing grit is probably the only aspect needed to get anywhere lol

I'm a rising high school senior and Harvard hopeful! Would you mind sharing your gpa/ standardized test scores and whether or not you submitted an art portfolio? Everybody who goes there from my school seems to have a concentration in science so I thought it was impossible for awhile.

I was wondering if you could do a video on how much you feel the reputation of an undergraduate school matters? I applied internationally, and I now have to make a decision between going internationally to a school and country that I really love as an undergraduate but the school has an okay reputation (not great but not horrible), versus UC Berkeley, so I was wondering if you have any insights on that decision?
What high school did you go to and what kind of student were you? Like were you the valedictorian or....? Also is it hard to get an A in Harvard- harder than other schools or your high school?

Why??? What is so great about an Ivy League school?? I prefer state universities that hold a a great academic reputation as well as an excellent party scene. I like well roundedness
+OmarOsman98 ivies give you a good reputation/credibility. It looks really good to future employers when it says you graduated from Harvard or Yale or wherever. I personally don't find state colleges all that appealing.

Everyone has a similar story. My d wanted to go to Oxbridge from the age of 12. She chose Cam, but we did the whole gamut of applics in the US and Canada as well, applying only to "reach" schools. She was accepted to all but one. Then, she got this email from Girton College and we thought it was just some place that had seen her SAT scores and was contacting her - but no, it was a conditional offer from Cam (she was "pooled"), extending the stress until she got her BAC results in July, which had to be, like, upper 2%. Still, it was one of those holy-shit moments of basic life paths opening up. What is truly amazing is how these places live up to their reps. Incidentally, as the EU resident, Cambridge costs less than 1/3 what a US college would.
