I've barely found enough information to know for certain, but the Bardings you get from hitting level 10 in any of the 3 roles, do you get to keep the barding if you were to use a pepper After reaching level 10 in one of the roles?
Cause as i've seen many mention, Healer level 10 makes your chocobo Worse, but if you want the white mage barding you Need to hit level 10, so my thought was to hit lv 10, feed it a pepper, get it to 8 or 9 and then put spare points into the attacker role.
That's a really good question! I've never tested it personally, but here are my thoughts: Once you earn an item via achievement, it is never taken away. At *most* in some circumstances, (like GC gear or bardings after you switch GC's) it might be greyed out and you'd be unable to use it until you meet the requirements again. So worst case you would have it, but not be able to use it until you put those points back. The only difference between 9 healer and 10 healer is the addition of a healing regen... which means at lower levels your chocobo may choose to cast a heal-over-time on you instead of a straight heal, and the lack of immediate healing may cause you to die. But that being said, if your chocobo is not level 20 yet, the extra DPS is always nice! I hope this info was helpful for you! 💜

What do the quest markers the blue green yellow arrow looking ones I'm having issues determine main and job only quests

I once heard that if you teach your Companion Choco Medica it becomes less effective at Healing because it wastes time on trying to heal both of you with this weaker Spell even if one is at full Health. Do you per chance know if this is true?
Yes, it's true. I was debating whether or not to include that information in the video, as I'm not sure how much difference it makes today opposed to when I did it years ago... If you're wanting your bird to be your personal healer, you're best to stop right before you hit medica and work on defender or dps. Medica is a good idea if you're playing with another person, or if you have a pet to take care of, but otherwise your companion favouring Medica will usually result in you getting half the healing potency you're used to.
Eventually you will just max out the chocobo's level and have points in everything, so I don't think it really matters at that point.
I haven't seen my chocobo at all yet. How should I get them to appear? My whistle is gone because I used it to get ducette to actually acknowledge me
Well, seems like you have two options: either retrieve the whistle from whichever orifice Ducette shoved it in, or, use the in-game reporting form to let a GM know what happened and throw yourself upon their mercy to grant you a new one. Either way, I'm sorry. 😉
buy gysahl greens; use to make choco appear again (stays ingame for 20 min iirc)

At the Adders Nest in New Gridania (northwest of the main aetheryte). You need to progress in the MSQ to the point where you are invited to select a Grand Company before you have access to the quest.

Never bothered with that quest for some reason.. Not because I don’t like it, just never dawned on me, and I turned off the main quest window and quest recommendeds. Went with the old Final Fantasy xi way
You could spend a lifetime in the game and not stumble across half the stuff that will make your life easier! I hope you're enjoying it though! FFXI wasn't exactly a player-friendly game. >.>
@@gamer_debbie I do agree but the more you played the more you found out, like low level job specific armor and rare treasure chest spawns
Lvl 30 to get a choco I've seen lvl 20 noobs having a choco
You can get your company chocobo as a mount at level 20 in the MSQ, but you have to wait until level 30 before you can get the quest to make it your companion. Additional information regarding your company chocobo can be found here: ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Chocobo

Also could have gotten it on a different skill and the lvl 20 was the second combat skill they were leveling.
