It always feels like g2 can compete with eastern teams, but lately they just cant prove that. This team looks a lot like 2019 one so i hope g2 can bring atleast semis for the west.
Problem is that nobody can really level up G2. Example with that is that all the teams in LPL would give G2 a hard time.
(For example look at team thats are even 8/9th in LPL and imagine those teams in LEC or LCS)

Yes, alas G2 fluctuates a lot in their performance. One day they could go head to head with GenG and the next day lose to PSG Talon. Also really depends on if Caps decided to be Claps or Craps that day. In MSI, G2 would have beaten GenG in bo5 if Caps wasn't Craps that day.

This is soo bad... G2 have no worthy opponent on LEC, and that's why LPL and LCS are still unreachable for LEC. Iff only G2 have more opportunity to play against top 5 teams from LPL and LCK, LoL worlds would not be strict LPL vs LCK again.

I think G2 can compete with LPL and LCK Teams on a good day. But that wont be enough if u only can do so much on your best day against an avg asian performing team. Its not even G2 fault but the rest of the region is just so far behind that its almost impossible to improve. Just look at the MSI G2 and the G2 now. They got a glimps of what actual top tier League of Legends looks like and improved so much over just a few weeks. If u could scrim and play against top teams the whole year you would be able to actual do something on an international Tourny. But if that is the LEC Second seed idk man. How the hell do u push your limits??

I think it shows both. At this point we know how bad lec is, so it is better that G2 dominates and not that they get pushed to their limits by a team like xl (sadly last bo5 happened but it doesnt really count). Basically if they dominate there is still hope that they really are levels above.
