QUEEN
I absolutely love your positivity! Keep being amazing, it was such a treat to see your talent and light on this season ❤
Kerri is only TWENTY FIVE? Girl comes across like a seasoned vet… in a good way.
Address the elephant in the room. Her tons of plastic surgery makes her look like an aging 40 y/o.
The best way to put it is that she feels timeless
@@Hellraiser0601 she didn’t have facial surgery until after the show, just fillers
and jourgeus 21 like
@@Hellraiser0601and is there anything wrong with plastic surgery? Can't women be hot like???
I feel like Daya knew after going home once already that the best way for her to make it to the end was to become someone the producers couldn't let go of. Every contestant knows they're on a tv show first and foremost, and sometimes being good tv is more important than being yourself. Everyone has been saying Daya is one of the kindest people offscreen, so I think she just played the game with a strategy. A different strategy than Willow's, but equally effective in getting to the end.
What's really tripping me out is I specifically remember Nina West saying on the show after her elimination, "I understand now the importance of having a big personality." Rewatching the episode and the Untucked as well though, I cannot find it anywhere!!!
Exactly!! It's business not a glimpse into them personally. We shouldn't know Dayas personal personal life but being recorded everyday for a while and being isolated can get stressful. She got eliminated and knew that she needs to be more honest but times ten for good TV so producers can use her and keep her for those shady, confrontational moments. She is smart for that
Yeah I never got the vibe that Daya was actually a bad or mean person, it very much felt like she was choosing to play the villain. It felt a bit tongue in cheek. I really liked it, it made the season feel a bit more like an older season but in a way that felt like Daya was still in control of her story.
Daya was though a good competitor
when i told my boyfriend that the recipient of the golden chocolate bar was completely up to the producers, he was devastated. he compared it to finding out santa isn't real. bit dramatic but alright.
LMAOOO NOOOO
No way do the producers decide it. Next you’ll tell me WWE isn’t real y’all are crazy with your conspiracy theories
That’s how I feel rn :(
Willam said on a podcast tho that the producers are legally not allowed to decide the recipient of the chocolate bar. Who was given the golden bar was actually completely random and fair, what the producers did with whomever ended up getting the golden bar, that's another story ofc.
Willam 1000% being sarcastic LOL
I am SO glad you adressed the lack of accomodations for Willow. I get so mad at that, and in the end they are all like "Look how awesome Willow is for making all of that with no help!!"
No, it's not nice to romanticise a lack of acessibility, and as a disabled person it gets me real pissed lol
The only complaint I have about the season is the constant non elimination episodes took away from the chocolate bar twist! If that was better this would have been a top 3 season of all time! But they’re still up there :) and I’m grateful I got another season of my all time favorite show!
wait that’s actually so true
I also feel that some queens were eliminated far too soon. Maddy Morphosis and Alyssa Hunter in particular had so much to offer and I wish we could've seen more of them in the challenges :/
Now that I think of it, they could've had 3 gold chocolate bars instead of the non eliminations
@@pedroxqui or no chocolate bar at all and stay with the ‘production wants you to stay’ non elimination :)
Yeah I think if they had moved the Daytona wind episode back like 1 or 2 episodes it might’ve been paced a bit better. Bc then we wouldn’t have all of the non-elimination episodes in a row right in the middle. If they had just put them in the beginning, it wouldn’t have taken as much away from both the early ours and also the main twist of the season.
Another casting choice is this is collectively the youngest season ever I believe, which I hope doesn’t become a trend
Maybe to avoid a whole Tamisha styled beef or storyline, but I think casts are great if there is a good mix of age groups (Season 6 comes to mind)
i'm here from the future and i have bad news
My favorite Daya moment is in the lead-up to the Rusical and Willow- the perpetual strategist- is put on the spot to say who she thinks should get the main role, so Daya realizes this and basically forces her hand by jumping in before her term and forcing a tie so now Willow is forced to behave unstrategically and make a prominent choice with potential negative consequences. It's where her "villain" status dovetailed with strategy it was great
Hollering at the screen moment, that made me love Daya so much more!
"I'll keep tally ☺✍️✨"
production not helping willow with the boxes drove me up the walls!!! you're not giving her an advantage by helping her open a box she already chose herself ughh - i could literally not think of a single excuse for them not to help
This is just a small comment but I wish they hadn't done those fake eliminations in the first two episodes, we could've gotten Willow vs Kornbread and Jorgeous vs Angeria lipsyncs for the win instead.
Yeah totally even tho I think the winners would be the same it would of been a great moment
I couldn't agree more. You're not fooling anyone at this point. We all know they're coming back next episode. A winner lipsync would've been more fun.
Yesss! If they had Jorgeous vs Angie in ep 2, Jorgeous would have won. Then when it came down to Glamazon Prime, they could have given the win to Angie instead, which would have made sense and made that episode work so much better
@@RavenAngel9753 I really don’t think Jorgeous would win a ballad against angie
i would've wanted Orion and Daya to be eliminated
Tbh If s14 had better pacing it would be top 3 best seasons ever
This
Ikr, we get that if they really had to meet a set amount of episodes, instead of having so many none eliminations why not do a "comeback queens" episode that they're so staple on the franchise and everyone loves them. They changed the things that they already had an answer for in a way that was so weird for the viewing experience.
I imagine this season would be so fucking hard to binge watch.
Although it was longer than the wait of Rupaul making the green light of Drag Race Mars, I really did enjoy this season.
exactly
4 5 and 6 easily clear s14, 8 I personally preferred excluding the length.
It’s weird that their were so many episodes. Yet we didn’t get to know half of the queens. Also bring back messages from home and seeing their life outside of drag
Kerri really got me. Like, I'm 25 soon, trans (ftm) and I really do feel like the way she spoke on the season was super helpful to both me and likely a mass of other trans folks who came from less than supportive families.
Let me try producing with 14 queens
Ep. 1: Runway Premiere with a Top 2
Ep. 2-8: 1st 7 Eliminations
Ep. 9: Top 7/ Elim 7 compete where 1 Top is eliminated and 1 Elim returns
Ep. 10-13: Top 7 thru Top 5 with a "Golden Save" among them (Ru rewards a frontrunner with a 2nd chance and it would be better than the Gold Bar because this is based on Ru's decision rather than production riggory)
Ep. 14: Top 4 Rumix
Ep. 15: Reunion
Ep. 16: Top 3 Finale
i get ordering more episodes when the show gets bigger but I don't think anyone needs a 20 episode season of drag race... not to mention the queens get EXHAUSTED by the end, 16 should be the limit
but it helps with queens getting a lot more screen-time and presence in the show.. having more episodes means more exposure of the queens to the fans which benefits them a lot so I think there’s pros and cons to both sides
as a special ed teacher, the entire first half of the season i was screaming at my screen “ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT CHEATING!” and although it shouldn’t have happened, this production failure makes willow’s win so much more amazing than anyone is talking about. thank you for mentioning it!
Imagine the gag of Jasmine on all stars saying “Oh this y’all? This is just the winners look!”
“Oh this ? This is just the all stars look “
All stars ⭐️ 8 or 9 hopefully
@@alguaii272 probably 10 at the earliest, AS 8-9 is rumored to be an early outs and Fan favorites. Not sure which is going to come first, while it's speculation, these have held up decently in the past
Why did I read that in Bob's voice? *lol*
I’m holding out for all stars 9 especially after seeing her lip sync against Jimbo in all stars 8
My main issue is honestly that Orion gets virtually no recognition or love outside of the show, one of my least favorite moments of the season was the Save a Queen Untucked when all the girls are hyping up Jorgeous saying she'll send home anyone and the camera pans to Orion and you can see the hurt on her face. I relate a lot to Orion but I felt like production did not care about her the way they should, she had one of the best showings in the ball and they put her low which I still don't get and while I think her elimination(s) were fair, I just wish that she was hyped up more for her stellar drag. Some of her unaired looks are some of my favorite from the season and I just wish we got to see her more.
TBH Orion can't really blame anyone but production for her problems. If you're an introvert and you go on reality TV, you need to find a way to make yourself shine or production won't emphasize you. Same thing happens on competitive /social reality shows (Survivor, Big Brother). The introverts there need a strategy or they get sent home.
AGREE , aesthetic wise her daya and willow were my top! orion's sex kitten peg bundy 60s vibe is to DIE for
The main issue of this season is production doesn't seems able to handle storylines in so many episodes. Except for Daya, most storylines got lost in the mix and it made the pacing really odds. The chocolate bar twisted was really underwhelming, and I hope they can figure out something else in season 15... But they were great ideas in this season, like the challenge. Most of them were really good (the fake trailers, the rusical, the panel...).
OMG, someone finally calls out production for the accomodation Willow should have had ! I comment this once and people got mad, I thought I was the only one to think it was normal to help someone with a medical condition !
Willow said that they had helped her, but in the confessionals they recommended that she promote her storyline
Season 15 is going to be WILDLY different to anything that has come before it
I just have to say that this was my mothers first time ever watching a season of drag race, and when bosco pulled that candy bar, she CRIED! She thought it was such a beautifully touching moment, and i just love how this is the season that has officially gotten this woman hooked on drag race
Daya was clearly the protagonist of the season for me. She's so exciting to watch and I'm sure her run is gonna be VERY influential in years to come
I'm not even mad about Angeria being saved only because I utterly adore her.
I really think that Maddy was extremely overlooked during the season because sadly the show just wanted to milk the straight drag queen storyline to a truly cringeworthy point with every single moment with Maddy on screen was a joke to an expense of her sexuality or RuPaul trying to yassify her or jokingly implying that she wasn't actually straight.
Maddy also talked about her sexuality/gender journey but it was it never shown. Everyone just ended up assuming the Maddy was just a straight guy who could never really understand the full LGBTQI experience.
I think the lack of a makeover challenge is because of the quarantine. According to Kornbread when she exited, the show had their little bubble, so leaving that bubble was like a death sentence. With 13 they could bypass it by doing the whole “makeover each other” thing but I don’t think they had a creative idea to bypass it this time around without reusing season 13s or maybe season 9 or 11s. I don’t think strangers were keen on being quarantined for 2 weeks just to be on a show practically doing physical labor in a pretty dress for 2-3 days lol.
i just cant express enough love for this season. granted its not as good as the great ones, but its still such a step up from the previous underwhelming seasons
What seasons are you talking about? Bc I absolutely love season 12 😭
As great as s12 and s14 were, I feel fans praise it mainly because:
1. COVID
2. The continuos streak of badly received US seasons (as3, s10, as4, s11, as5)
S14 wins in terms of casting. The cast were amazing, and production honestly did a good job of highlighting the relationships between the cast without overproducing things. I think this is one of the best casts we've ever gotten.
this cast reminded me a lot of the S5 cast, in that so many of them were clearly powerhouses or had an incredible amount of potential. like, genuinely i can see everybody in this cast getting onto allstars and killing it. it wouldn't surprise me if AS9 or AS10 (as i am fairly certain that AS8 is too early for all of these queens) becomes the next AS2 where it's just a cast of pure heavy-hitters. im so excited to see all the new opportunities these girls get in the future :D
my dream would be half of s12 (widow, gigi, heidi, crystal, Aiden) s14 (bosco, camden, daya, kerrie, maddie) and heck s13 wildcards being denali and rose. I would love to see jorgeous and jasmine sooner but i think itd be best if production let them perform and develop as performers so they come back into the competition fully formed
i thought as6 was kinda the new as2, I mean it had an incredible reception from what I saw
What if the advantage queens could win in a non elimination episode, is that they win immunity for next week's challenge. While Alyssa rightfully killed immunity, you could bring it back just for a random incentive on the one off non elimination episodes
I agree with so many things! •angeria’s edit (or lack thereof at the end) was very weird •daya was so entertaining as the “villain” and people need to respect her contribution to this season •the chocolate bar could’ve been ok in a different season but it was undermined in this one wt all the other non elim eps •i really like the idea of letting the queens/audience know an ep wont have an elimination but an advantage for the winner to keeps things spicy. Jack for Producer 2023 •this cast is one of the best ever!! look back, it really is! So as much as a didn’t like the pacing issues i am glad i got to spend so much time wt the queens. Ty for your videos!!
Your idea for how they could be more transparent about non eliminations is SO SMART!
I keep getting a feeling that like Brooke Lynn Hytes - who went on to host Drag Race Canada, that Lady Camden will be headed home to host Drag Race UK. Both low/no-drama highly-polished queens who came in 2nd place when they certainly could have been declared winners, BUT both are very about where they came from.
ps - I liked that not every episode did someone go home. Before Drag Race is a competition/game show it's very much a variety show. Variety shows were ubiquitous until the 90's and always fun, I like seeing one again.
Unfortunately I don't think Camden will host drag race UK, unless Ru gets tired with all these different seasons. In Canada, you can only have Canadians hosting television shows, that why BLH host Canada's Drag Race.
this is so good. i love how you mentioned the disappearance of angeria in the edits after the lalaparuza. it's very evident after the michelle comment about when will angeria fall or something that the production was waiting for angeria to fall but her only lapse in the competition was during the snatch game.
One simple way to extend the duration of the season, and here me out becuase it is really crazy, top 3
Madness, get out of here! 🤣😂😂
One of my least favourite Willow moments from the season is on the design challenge where nobody could help her which is obviously not done by her. I felt like somebody should’ve helped her to make the challenge actually feel fair and make the challenge equal for everyone.
As a “trangel” myself, this season inspired me so much. I took a break from Drag Race, and coming back to a season whose cast touches me just makes me happy. Kerri is definitely one of a kind, not only did she help her friends in the show, she also helped trans fans like myself. Hope future seasons feature queens like Season 14’s.
After the major disappointment that was S13, S14 just felt like a breath of fresh air. Sure it was a bit messy at times, especially with all the non-eliminations, but overall it was a terrific season, mainly because the cast was so amazing and likeable. I did not dislike a single queen. It's one of the few seasons that I will happily rewatch over and over.
How was S13 a disappointment?
Season 13 is not well received because of the obvious favoritism some of the queens received, it's long pacing and editing choices.
@@chelseajones8621 it was boring and overproduced. How was Symone worthy of a double shantay with the lipsync against Kandy? And she couldnt serve on design challenges being the "fashion" queen. The brought looks were made by Gigi Goode. Worst winner on Drag Race. Cant sew, cant do comedy, cant dance, average at best lipsync skills. A lot of the queens were lackluster too.
And before you come at me and call me racist, so many black queens won and exude excellence. Examples are Jaida, Shea, Yvie, Bob, Bebe, Monet, Ra'Jah.. Symone doesnt belong in this talented lineup
The pacing issues killed it. You just can't have the audacity to start with a fake elimination only to have two double saves, a chocolate twist, and several no elimination episodes. We knew Angie wasn't going to win. Bosco probably wasn't going to win. Daya wasn't going to win. It was always a willow Camden top 2. We knew jorgeous SHOULDN'T win. We knew jasmine was on borrowed time. There was so many times i was like "ok this person's storyline is over right?" Only for it to keep going because we have episodes to fill. The bottom queens were edited out while jasmine was a mid teir queen who ran the show. It was just so weirdly unbalanced.
Idk why they don't do an episode where all the queens return like the AS4. They essentially had 4 episodes with 7 queens but it felt a lot more organic because of the returning queen. The in-season reunion episodes are also great for drama because they're still isolated from the world and aren't reacting to the fans' perception.
bosco’s swept away performance made the whole lalaparuza worth it. it was the best lip sync of the night imo and it came after both those queens had exhausted their energy on two previous lip syncs. that was a standout performance for me.
Definitely one of the best lip syncs in the whole season!
I don’t entirely agree with the Angeria and Olivia comparisons. In the second half of the season Olivia was LOW BTM2 LOW LOW ELIM, where as Angeria was only BTM7 SAFE SAFE SAFE BTM2. I think Angeria slayed the whole season and because she’s so strong her safes seem lower, but I think she deserved to go to the finale 100% whereas I feel like Olivia was justly eliminated before the finale
YES THANK YOU
100%
My theory is that they probably wanted Daya to go home at top 5 but she did so well in that episode (and imo deserved the win that week) that they had to keep her and just have a top 5
I think what Jack was trying to say is that at the beginning they were really strong contenders with high placements in the first half of the season (between ep 1 to 7). Doing well and being well received by fans.
But then at some point when a twist like lalaparuza, chocolate bar or double shantays or even top 2 episode come in hand, well their consistency just falls slowly even tho they're still doing great but it's not as much memorable or remarkable even more when you get to a top 7 placement through a long season and...meaning that they're just erasing from being the strong contender. But still Angeria has that confidence and charisma that would make her stay anyways.
Angeria is just great, Olivia was very much pushed from the production the whole season.
Kerri is 25!?!? Also one of the queens answered you !!!! What a dream come true
Something I can really appreciate about season 14 in comparison to season 13 is the fact that so many of these queens would be great on all stars. From season 13 I’d wanna see Gottmik, Rose and Denali but for season 14 I’d wanna see the top 4, Jorgeous, Deja, Jasmine, Maddy, Alyssa, Kerri, Kornbread they’re all just so talented
lmaooooo that cherry pie 🥧 sent me 💀🤣
Love them or hate them you can’t deny that Jasmin and Daya delivered some amazing messy drama this season
It still shocks me that our community asks for nothing but acceptance and love but then spread nothing but hate when a straight queen gets casted. You can ask to be involved if you’re going to exclude.
When Vh1 asks for 20+episodes with 14 queens plus a finale and adding more queens makes story lines not happen or too much fighting cross stories! With Willow’s stenosis diagnosis and hiring equity (like medical issues), in the USA, you have to make accommodations unless the person asks for no accommodations and signs a release
“I think I’m gonna scat” is a top 10 drag race joke for me
10:16 preach jack, preach. your analysis and comments are spot on throughout this vid 👌🏾
I love your reviews so much! you're always so fair and loving towards the show and the queens and wrap it up in such an eloquent bow! I can't wait for you to cover all the other seasons.
i miss this season already :(( it's a phenomenal season (probably the best since season 9) courtesy of a phenomenal cast and brilliant final five that we all criminally underestimated in the preseason, and i'm so glad they proved us all wrong and turned it out like they did!
did we all just forget june and orion were in this season too 😭💀
I was just really sad that Kornbread had to leave so early. It also felt like production didn't know what to do after that because they really thought Kornbread was gonna go far. Still one of my favorite seasons tho.
I complained about the way that they dragged this season out for so long but honestly... I was at a loss for what to do last night. This season aired for so long that it just became part of my schedule lmao
Putting non elimination episodes at the beginning in some past seasons really helped show all the queens beyond just the surface, especially with larger numbers of queens on a season.
I really love this season. It is my favourite cast EVER. Even counting All Stars Seasons
yesss been waiting for this so excited
JackFed video? Day instantly better. Thank you for always creating such positive, thoughtful, and well made content! I hope you've had a great week so far 💞
Aaaahhhh yay! Thank you for a new video, Jack!
At 13:19... "There's some behind the scenes tea with that"... What tea? I need to knowww!! Please tell meeee!! 😭😭😭
loveeee your videos Jack❤️
Rupaul andWow make @4 million from advertisers per episode, so a lot of these bloated, fatigue inducing non elimination episodes is them watering down the competition to put more money in their pockets… it’s nice they upped the prize money and gave runner up some too, but after 15 years, you’d think the prize money would be a Million already since the Queens are spending about 50k to 100k on outfits, taking a month off work to be there so losing bookings during that time… the only thin condescending argument these greedyproducers have is that the show gives the Queens publicity, but then they are enslaved to a management company via their contract whowill, like any talent agency, see who isin demand, and those whose demand faces after a couple of years are stuckin a bum contract. The show is ablut business and making money now for producers exploiting a lot of the talent.
20:10 Legendary did that with money ball when they brought group made from members of eliminated houses and they would fight with remaining houses for cash prizes... yes, just for money, nobody gets back to competition. And it works so well, i think it could work in Drag Race too.
Based on the edits for episode 1 & 2, I really thought the top 4 were gonna be Kornbread, Kerri (who felt like she was getting a Vanessa Van Cartier edit), Willow, and Angeria. Imagine my shock when Kornbread and Kerri go in the first half of the season
Also random thoughts but what if the chocolate bar doesnt just save a queen, it also sends the lipsync winner home 🤔🤔🤔
I would have hated that even more if I'm being honest. Why should the winner of the lip sync, who has just fought for survival, be sent home because of the "drag gods" aka producers who have a favourite they want to keep longer?
@@cannotthinkofausername6379 it wouldve created a gag, literally. cause having the golden bar just seems like an awful double save, which can be given out with ease and doesnt have much pay off. wont the unfairness cause another outcry online? exactly what the produces are looking for: a story which got people talking abt, and a robbed queen narrative
@@jnd_jnd Sure from a production point it gets people talking, but that's not what I want, and not what many people want, from Drag Race. They want a competition that is fair and showcases the queens at the best of their ability. To me your twist is just like the Porkchop Lounge, getting the queens hopes up to only then to say surprise you're actually eliminated
that'd be more gaggy but also more unfair
I think your idea to announce non elimination episodes at the start is a really interesting idea and could work. It would allow queens to experiment more and take huge risks without being punished as much. There would need to be some sort of incentive to win so i totally agree with your idea to give advantages in the following weeks challenge.
I just want them to bring back the puppets mini-challenge
Regarding Angie - her track record was similar to Symone, her storyline was kinda moving in that direction and I believe they didn't want to have the same archetype winner. Yet, Angie is an amazing queen, the sky is the limit!
Regarding Daya - for me, because the way she does her lips and her facial structure she looks a lot like Crystal, but drag style and talents - they're very different. Daya and Jasmine - you just see someone and don't vibe on biological level and it is fine. Daya was kind of bitchy and over the line at some moments, yet I do believe that these reactions are not from place of hatred, malice, evil.
This season is my most favorite modern season of RPDR and I can place it top 3 easily (with S6 and AS2). I think it will endure the test of time. And this is the only season which I have all participating queens followed, they're so sweet and talented.
Despite some questionable decisions of placements and eliminations I think the season was one of the more fair ones. And the top 5 had potential to crown each queen, all 5 could represent the show at its prime.
Love your videos, hope you're doing fine in life, young man, keep dreaming and doing big! :)
I think this was a very complete and accurate review and I mostly agree, I loved this season and its cast and I really enjoy your channel, keep up with the amazing job 😄
Lmao the cherry pie pic sent me into *rattle snake noise* during confessionals mode
It's a 7.5. Highlight of season was girl-group challenge The ShangRu-las.
"Maddy's little moon look" so shady haha
I completely agree with what you said about transparency, because that can make Drag Race less boring and more interesting, because it could be cool to see how the queens would perform, in challenges knowing there won’t be an elimination.
i haven’t been so excited for a new episode in a long time. i had the same feeling that i had when i watched season 6 with this season. one of my favorites of all time
Another great video. Thank you.
This cast is one of the best casts in drag race history. At least in the top 5 I love these girls so much.
You blew my mind with your comments about the non-elimination episodes. Like why do they have to be a secret? It makes total sense if they are going to continue to have a larger episode count per season that they incorporate non-elimination episodes into the format and make it count for something like a bigger cash prize or something. That way we don't have to lose the novelty of a surprise non-elimination and we still get the benefit of seeing more of the queens throughout the season. I love this idea!!!!!
When you pointed out that there was only one New York girl I was having flashbacks to there being like 5 on season 12
Definitely agree with your point about upfront transparency on non-elimination episodes!
Honestly I feel like your comments were spot on. Despite the season dragging on forever, when it was good it was VERY good. The Daytona Winds episode is now one of my all-time favorites.
I guess the question is which queens will show up on All-Stars first?
WAIT KERRI IS 25?!?!?!?!?! SHE'S LITERALLY MY MOM FIGURE AND I'M OLDER????
One of my favorite seasons! But then again I say that after every season… hahahaha
Props to Ru for having my favorite Ru song in a while. I love Catwalk so much
Ahahaha not the picture of a pie for the mistake part 😂😂😂
“When only one queen gets eliminated for the entire month of march” 🤣🤣🤣
Imo it's gotta be a top 4 or 3. Top 5 being a third of the cast is a lot. It also gives another potential elimination and thus episode and storyline opportunity.
Angeria’s edit was so weird. They could easily have given her five wins and SHOULD have given her at least four. She could have had one of the best track records of the history of the show.
I knew the spoilers for the season before it started (I’m on the spoiled sub reddit hey) and I remember reading all the tea about the chocolate bar and the lalaparuza smack down and the lack of elms for the first time and thinking that this season was going to be even more messy than s13, and not in the good way. So going into it, I underestimated it a lot and didn’t expect it to be great at all. But honestly I had my expectations blown out the window and I had so much fun watching this season each week even knowing who would win and who was elm (or wasn’t for the most part). It’s probably up there with s12 as one of my favourite seasons in the main show (maybe it’s recency bias) but I just cannot not love this season. It has some of the best challenges we’ve had in a while (first time an acting challenge + improv challenge has made me laugh since uk2) and some amazing moments that I keep watching back. Also my favourite runway of the season has to be Bosco’s tutu look, I was waiting for her to use that damn chainsaw in her station and I was not disappointed at all when she finally used it. The whole tutu runway was great along with chaps runway as well.
Also one of my favourite cast of all times, I cant wait to see what they all do next.
I was hoping that I would love the Rusical much more than I actually did, but I didn't. The good news is that I absolutely love the girl group challenge and listen to it every day.
girl not you forgetting deja won snatch game “i think she should’ve won even tho everyone else was bad” girl she did lmfaoo
You forgot Bosco before she got her first win she was ALSO like “Omg I want a win!” And then she got it
just a reminder: Maddy is NOT the first heterosexual contestant on Drag Race-she's the first cisgender heterosexual contestant, or first straight man. saying she's the first heterosexual contestant period erases the straight trans women who have been on the show
If you wanna use the track records of Wikipedia but with the high and low placements something that the English wiki doesn’t have, you can the use French and Spanish Wikipedia in those pages all the placements are in
Don't give us heaps of videos over summer! Just release normally and bank a bunch of extra videos for next semester to put out when you're busy!! Look after yourself!
If you told me in the beginning of the season that my favorite would be Jasmine, I probably would have laughed. And yet here I am. I do agree that Lipsync Showdown is a good place for her to leave, but I cannot stop thinking that I wanted Jasmine in the finale, her number would have been so incredible.
I also give it 9/10. Even with its shortcomings, I think that its qualities are outweighing the negatives.
Tbh I have to say Willow is the smartest contestant on drag race in my books, a few moments other than the smackdown and the premiere that I think truly showed it were:
1. Glam prime, if she didn't add those long arms , the garment would've been bottom worthy, similar to Sasha's gown in the princess challenge.
2. Her picking the green fairy role in the Rusical, that role only required her for only being there present in the last few minutes of the Rusical.
Imagine willow in an all winners 2 tho
What I want is more design challenges. I think that perhaps they could do some non-elimination episodes and have at least one of those be a design challenge.
Daya Betty won me over in a way that Kandy Muse never did. Her villainy was more cartoonish and amusing to me.
this season starting with a photoshoot mini challenge made my logo drag race heart SCREAM
This is the first live season I stuck with until the end… (and each week, watched your vids, pitstop and listened to race chaser 😳)
At first I didn’t think I loved this season that much, but in retrospect I was clearly obsessed lol
Good job on the video! As an aspiring cis female drag queen on the asexual spectrum who is considering applying for Drag Race in the future, the way that Maddy and Victoria were treated by large sections of the fandom I worry that people will get upset with me because not only I’m a cis woman doing drag but also there’s so much acephobia in the LGBT+ community it’s not even funny.
