I'm sorry to kill the magic (and it's one of the most legendary moments every on drag race!!!) but the reaction of the audience isn't "real" it was just cut together. I don't remember where I got that info from, but it made sense bc in that video it said that the audience kinda couldn't see enough to react "properly"

The way Ru was SO HIGH for that entire episode made it feel like a complete fever dream. The girls were terrified of losing a spot in the competition, Ru is pissing her pants laughing as she’s sending home girls for good, Manila is wearing fashionable spaghetti, Latrice’s vigorous hair flip while in the splits… it’s modern art
Is such a cool concept, I loved that episode too!
Don't forget Naomi doing the damn thing with her lip sync.
We honestly need her back for a Vs. the World season and let her win more so she can dominate lip syncs.
I would also mention the All Stars 7 Snatch Game. At one point it had a 9.9 rating on IMDB, it currently sits at 9.8. While it doesn't say everything, it is a good indicator of overall appeal to viewers.
I thought it was quite average. Didn't really understand the hype. Maybe it's because I didn't really find Jinkx that funny.

omg I was worried you wouldn't mention s12e1 because that is truly my favorite. the best group song/performance ever, an incredible mini challenge, nicki minaj, and just so much positivity. it makes me sad that the episode 2 girls missed it because imo nothing compares to episode 1

The Bing Bang Bong episode is my all time fav, I’m from the UK (so might be biased) - but it was so charming, the covid situation was really unique and I loved the queens re-entering! I also loved Graham narrating the queens postcards that was a nice touch (no Eurovision lip synch song tho …)
I think you hit the nail on the head when you talk about pacing - this episode is probably one of the best paced I can remember of drag race and that’s a big contributor to getting as much content and queen screen time as possible
I actually think the stand up challenge on UK2 is my favourite. It starts with a great Recap on the previous episode. Then there's a great mini challenge where things get camp and silly. There's a big werk room portion because of the lineup drama. The stand-up was great, and then a runway which serves a lot of glamour. It really covers all bases
I was mad when I watched that episode because they didn’t bring back Asttina. But In retrospect it was very good
i also feel like bing bang bong aired at the perfect time. especially in the uk, we were back in lockdown and in the middle of winter and the song was just so overwhelmingly feel-good
The Season 9 finale completely ended the concept of Track Records selecting the winner and I honestly love that, because I usually disagree with the judging anyway lol. Sasha and Peppermint pulling away from 4th and 3rd place into 2nd and 1st place was so unexpectedly satisfying.
I know what you mean but I feel like Sasha won that season very well deserved, watching the whole season Sasha did extremely well 😍
I love S6 E4 - Shade The Rusical. It never fails to cheer me up. It's not feel-good in some wholesome way like that Drag Race Canada episode, but it's just fun. The cast is funny, the confessionals are hilarious, and you get to see Adore and Courtney shine

I have a silly sense of humor, so my current favorites are Daytona Wind from S14 and The Bitchelor from AS3. The Money Ball from S3 was also dramatic and so challenging.

I know we all dont like as5 but the snatch game episode was fire. We got to see alexis' walter mercado, shea's flavor flav, jujubee's eartha kitt... this duo is up there with alaska and katya in as2 snatch game. Also, all the drama from the rest of the episode had me on the edge of my seat expecting to see who would shea believe, india finally being eliminated... just a top tier episode on a not so good season

I thought the Snatch Game was just alright. Didn't like Shae's Flava Flav and I thought Jujube's was funny but not amazing.. I don't really like any of the Snatch Game of Love episodes on All Stars.. The normal Snatch Game works better and is less awkward
My fav is CDR 1 Snatch Game. I feel like it's a home run because every element that people love in an episode is there and delivered. Mini Challenge? Truly top tier reading challenge. Main Challenge? Something everyone loves, snatch game. Performances? Great contrasted with comically bad which is truly the best. Runway? This might be a controversial opinion, but I love night of 1000 (blanks) runways I they delivered with Celine. Lipsync? Probably the best of the season, a true showdown. On top of all that, this was such a pivotal point in the journey of our winner and that makes it feel like an important episode overall. (also, I didn't feel as much CDR 1 judging riggory as usual this episode, the winner was right, the bottoms were right)

I said it once and I'll say it again, Drag Race Espana Season 2 was the best season I've watched in a long time. Episode 2 100% deserved the hype.
my favorite episodes of all time is a tie between the perfume's commercial challenge and the Can I Get An Amen challenge, both of season 5. Those are absolutely ICONIC in SO MANY LEVELS....
I can't believe a Snatch Game episode wasn't considered!! AS7 with Jinkx, Trinity, Monet, and Raja is phenomenal (I think you must've not considered any of AS7, no?), but for me, the best Snatch Games episodes to consider is S6 with Bendelacreme, Bianca, Joslyn, Adore, Darienne Lake... or AS3 with Bendelacreme, Shangela, Aja, and BeBe ... or AS2 with Katya, Alaska, Alyssa, and Ginger.... or S14 with Symone, Gottmik, Rosé, and Denali (and how the F did Utica Queen survive that??) I think Snatch Game is always one of the most anticipated and most beloved by the fandom.

@@londonbordeaux I think the makeover challenges are so so so so boring. The only one that was good was season 4 when Sharon's dad was causing trouble in the workroom. What do you think about them showing a tape of the queens parents wishing them luck. I literally fast forward. It's so boring. I wanna see them fight. I also dont like untucked as much. I miss the way they did untucked in the earlier seasons. The early untucked was more fun.
The one with Symone, Rosé etc was season 13. Season 14 was THE worst snatch game episode lmao

España 2 episode 2 it's the BEST episode, not only because Spain s2 has one of the most talented casts but also it had an amazing runway

Just also wanna add that Season 12 episode 1 showed us the ICON that is WIDOW VON'DU!!! Like she KILLED that episode as much as Gigi and I honestly think she should have gone farther in the season. I can't wait to see her come back for All Stars. 🥺♥️
Idk if it was intentional but it's funny how each and every episode is the best as what they covered. Best roast, best talentshow, best return of the queen, best lipsync smackdown, and so on... So no need to compare them :> they're the best in their own way.
My favorite episode is Bing Bang Bong, the beginning of the episode with the shocking announcement of the show being suspended because of a global pandemic (with one of the cast members leaving the competition and having to be replaced) is just the most "reality" moment in any reality TV show, and the whole episode has everything that a great episode needs (shocking moments, funny moments, returning queens, a great performance, drama in untucked, etc.) the fact that it couldn't be written by anyone and it will never happen again puts it at the top of my list.
Another one I would pick for the really old school Drag Race is S2 E5, the wedding challenge. S2-4 all had one thing in common and it was the super campy, messy sort of drama and this one is one of my favorites. Tyra being messy, her and Tatianna arguing in the werk room, Tati flopping but being saved with the immunity, "Tyra is a complete bitch" culminating in her winning, the beginning in Tyra's pseudo-redemption edit, one of the most underrated lip syncs in the series, not to mention the *iconic* untucked fight. That episode was peak early Drag Race mess from start to finish and it's magical to watch.
It's definitely UK S2 Episode 5 for me, and it's not even close. And without reiterating too much of what you already said in the video, I think a part of it, other than the excellent performances, engaging drama, smooth narrative flow, packed runtime, and strong lipsync, is that it was the REAL emergence of the heavy-hitters in the second half of the competition, in Bimini, A'Whora, and Tayce. Obviously Lawrence had been an incredible competitor from the start, but this episode is where we REALLY see 3 other queens, ones that the show had been subtly pushing us to root for, finally get their flowers, which just makes for a really satisfying watch.
Good choice ! UK S2 aswell as S1 are two of my favourite seasons of drag race ! Bimini for me had one of the best redemptions on a single season of drag race ever ! The pandemic break held off with that I think it was kiwi the girls came back into an all star season (with less money and resources but still made it work.

UGH season 12 is such a gem. It was during the start of the pandemic so it’s just so special for us all. Widow von du solidified that first episode.
The under the big top rusical from CDR S2 is my favorite of all time, the super high highs and low lows of the challenge, Icesis Couture being bottom 2 after winning her first challenge, along with one of the best lip syncs of the season and a fun mini challenge, that is one episode of drag race I could just watch on repeat

Drag Race Thailand Season 2 Episode 9 is surely the best episode. We got to see Kandy fully redeem herself, Vanda displaying her incredible adaptability, and an all around amazing runway. The rusical music and set were spectacular, and every queen killed it. We also got one of the greatest and arguably most emotional lip sync on the show. From the narratives, to the challenge, to the runway, this episode was amazing.
Yess, that episode was everything, I was fully expecting this episode to be on the list tbh

My mom doesn’t really like drag race but I showed her the CDR2 makeover episode and we then watched the whole season together and therefore it’s is important to me and probably my favorite

I don't think they'll ever reach a constant high as big as all stars 7. It has everything, but not the downers. And everyone is having SO MUCH FUN!

It's kinda funny seeing how people are saying Drag Race has fallen off and is never going to reach the heights of the golden age, when the majority of well-regarded episodes are from the VH1 era on (9, 12, 14, AS6, UK2, España 1 and 2, Canada 2, etc.) Sure modern Drag Race has its issues, but I think people can be way too hard on it, as well as looking back on the older seasons with rose colored glasses. It's obvious that Drag Race still has a lot to show, I mean All Stars 7 is quickly becoming one of the all time bests. Sure there's some misses (cough cough Down Under) but I'm very optimistic about what the future of Drag Race holds.

SEASON. 9. REUNION. The only episode i can go back and rewatch at any time
I would add Season 9, "Your Pilot's on Fire", we had the amazing "Teets and Asky" which I believe is the best advert in Drag Race herstory, Trinity as Sister Mary Coont, the hilarious trainwreck that was "Nina and Tina", the awesome club kid runway with Peppermint's fantastic lollipop look, Nina's lipsync delivery and of course Valentina's mask affair. Just love to re-watch this episode and my favourite season in general!
As a Brit watching that bing bang bong episode in a pub at a viewing party was insane. The atmosphere was so good and everyone was going crazy!!!

From newer seasons, definitely Drag Race España's talent show. It was so good it made me sad because now US drag race now pales in comparison.
But from earlier seasons, I always loved the first episode drag on a dime kind of challenges. I think my favorite was Season 4. They should do apocalyptic couture again on the show, now that's more relevant than ever.

One of my favorites was the Break Up Bye-Bye episode of Drag Race UK 1.
-One of the best songs, Divina and Vivienne start switching places with their story line
-Great runway
-Front runner flops for the first time and shows much needed vulnerability and DESTROYS the lipsync
-Blu gets her first win, which I genuinely think she needed to be cast for UK vsTW

Drag Race Spain S2 won a place in my heart and expecially episode 2 as you mentioned.
I personally am a big fan of season 9’s roast. The episode opens with the queens talking about their challenge wins and realizing that Peppermint and Farrah are the only 2 left who haven’t won a challenge yet. That opening conversation sets up the idea that you need a win to stand a chance in the competition, and if you don’t have one you might as well go home. Well, at the end of the episode Peppermint finally gets her first win and Farrah goes home. The episode ends with every queen left having a challenge win. I just always found it to be a satisfying and well executed story
CDRs2 Under the Big Top is also very good, just because it's one of the best written rusicals, it got like the best and worst performances all at once which gives you whiplash, a KILLER runway and a good lipsync with the former frontrunner in the bottom. Overall a great experience.
I’m going with the moulin ru- now I may be extremely biased purely cause camden is my favourite queen but to me everything was perfect. A high quality challenge, intense drama, and to wrap it all off the chocolate bar twist
I love feel good openings. Season 12 not having an elimination is just such a nice way to give us time to meet the queen's, even the early outs.

Love this list and tbh really appreciate the tasteful and positive way you talk about the franchise and the queens.
That said, my fav episode of all time is Season 8 Episode 4: New Wave Queens. The New York girls feeding off of each other, the underdogs winning the challenge, the fierce Chi Chi lip sync all tie up really nicely for me.
Season 8 also gave us one of the best top four of any season and my personal favourite winner with Bob, so I might be biased lmao
I haven’t finished the video yet so I’m not sure if it’s mentioned but one of my absolute favourite episodes and one I rewatch independently all the time is the season 6 stand up comedy challenge. The challenge itself gave some iconic moments, every drag race fan knows Laganja’s set pretty much by heart and of course it was fantastic to see Bianca excelling and the thing she does best. The workroom drama is fantastic as well with several rivalries building, not to mention the tension built that leads to one of the most dramatic untucked moments. Trinity K Bonet’s story line feels fulfilling as we see her succeeding and coming out of her shell after struggling throughout the competition and we feel so proud as viewers. This episode is just full of such iconic moments, Laganja sat under the table writing her jokes springs to mind. This episode also sees the conclusion of her storyline as she is sent home after that unforgettable blowup in the aforementioned untucked. To top it off, the lipsync is also fantastic and so memorable just for that double split from both the girls at the exact same time. Just fantastic, perhaps my favourite episode of all time.

AS6, Ep5 is one of my favorites. I loved the Pink Table Talks, I loved the gag of having Bianca come on as the Lip-Sync Assassin, and of COURSE the Ginger/ Mayhem lipsync was ICONIC.

Also UK 3 was Mess, I really enjoyed the Last 4 Episodes. Episode 7 The fugly Ball was the best of the season and the cherry on top is the lipsync of vanity and Alesha reaction.

another fav episode of mine is season 5's sugar ball. jinkx struggling and being in the bottom 2 after weeks of doing phenomenal, jinkx vs rolaskatox who she would later dismantle with her beating detox in the amazing lipsync, the untucked, roxxxy being robbed with those amazing looks and particularly that final one, alaska having those good moments with jinkx.. basically such a good story for the underdog

FACT: Bing Bang Bong is the GOAT.
I’ve rewatched RuRu Vision so many times. It’s perfect from top to bottom. Joe Black’s storyline in this one episode is my favorite of all time. She went from being the queen with the most notoriety before the show to (in my opinion) unjustly put in the bottom in episode one (the weird Brighton critique) to coming back after months of a pandemic wearing an elephant mascot costume and being chosen by the girls to return, to singing the funny awkwardly-paced lyrics “welcome back darlings I’m here to haunt you it’s Joe Black and guess what this camp witch is back” but also the great line “… zig-a-zig-a Glen close but no cigar”, to seeing Ru’s disgust during her performance, to having a stunning runway, to her whispering “H&M ;)”, to Ru yelling at her, to her being eliminated again to one of the best lip sync songs of any franchise (Don’t Leave Me This Way). Plus I love Bimini, the Ahora and Tayce romance storyline, Ahora and Sister’s similar French fry looks which have a payoff in the upcoming design challenge, and Tia’s charm.
I can’t narrow down episodes but what I like in an episode/ season is when we get a lot of time in the work room so definitely uk s2 &1 and early season till like s6 , S9, S11 have that aspect for me aswell and so does as7 , I found that as6 skipped a lot of workroom and so I didn’t enjoy it as much
The Daytona Wind for season 14 was such a strong week that there was no queen lower than safe
Love that you included one of my picks--the s9 finale, altho personally I think that the lipsynch for the crown was a great change, unlike yourself. Far too many viewers were waaayyy too hung up on the whole "report card" thing---I love that now the report card is what gets you to the finale, but, once there, you gotta slay the lipsynchs, which, let's face it, is what (most) queens do when you get right down to the old nittay-grittay.
Also, for me, as good as s12 ep1 was, and I did get my life, I like the ball episode a tit bit better, just 'cause Leslie Jones was sooooooo happy to be there, and was fully participating not just as a judge but also as a superfan. Get her to replace Ross anytime, sorry not sorry.
Season 9 finale was so good that production keep messing up the show trying to replicate it
DRE S2E2 had me gagging for a whole hour!
My favorite was Definitely Canadas S2 Prom Make over when I watched it for the first time it made me so happy and really was educational for me
The season 10 ball was up there for me with Aquarias slayage and that iconic lip sync
The season 14 finale is one I love as well, everyone’s performances were amazing and it just felt fresh
The AS3 and AS2 talent shows as well, They are the best US talent shows and the best reading challenges
AS7 snatch game and ball are two of the best episodes for each of those challenges
Also the season 12 Madonna Rusical
But personally my favorite is the AS6 Rusical
honestly my favourite episode is daytona wind partly cause of the great challenge and queens but also the untucked was so amazing and made us all connect with the queens

Season 5 is just the best✨ my personal favorite is the jinx vs rolaskatox episode, we had beautiful self constructed candy garments, and the iconic Jinx vs Detox lip sync 🍭

I love these episodes but my favorites are low key the Snatch Game from season 6 and the comeback episode from All Stars 3💖. Great video
One of my favourite parts from the lip sync smack down episode was “Jan Jan she’s a man!!” HAHAHA
Canada's DR finale was amazing. One of my favs for sure. And this all star's season snatch game episode is, IMO, one of the best episodes ever.
I would count most of these episodes as some of my absolute favs, especially ruruvision, moulin ru and ruvenge of the queens.
one of my favorite episodes ever that was not mentioned here was season 4 episode 4 the tuckahoe prison for ladies episode!
We got the iconic go back to party city where you belong fight, latrice giving us the iconic line get those nuts away from my face, and madame laqueer kenya and milan absolutley bombing the challenge but in a way that it makes it always entertaining to watch!!

My fav of all time is the AS3 premiere. A great cast, a great reading challenge, the BEST US talent show to date, great lip sync, plus Dela+Morgan drama
My top 3 are:
1. CDR2 circus episode - best runway on any drag race season EVER, and so many iconic moments in the musical (good and bad)
2.Secret celebrity drag race roast - just such a fun and feel good episode
3. Season 9 reunion - so entertaining and perfect amount of drama (enough to keep me glued to the screen without stressing me out (like the season 10 reunion did))
S12E1 is definitely one of my favorites as well. I don't really care about drama, so I tend to gravitate toward the more feel-good episodes like the makeovers, especially in seasons 6, 9, 10 and 12. The reactions from Miz Cracker and the rest of the cast to Chester See in drag is just one of my all time favorite moments.
I know it's early, but All Stars 7 Snatch Game is up there with some of the best.
My favorite episode is actually UK2 episode 3 - I think the storylines in that specific episode have amazing payoffs, particularly Tia Kofi pulling off an upset in the lip sync against Asstina. It overtook my longtime favorite, which is the wedding episode of US2 - pure drama, haha!
I think you are spot on that the CDR2 makeover challenge is one of the best of the franchise! Icesis's moments made me weepy.
My controversial opinion is that, as good as Revenge of the Queens was at the time, it is tough to rewatch it knowing how dirty the show did Jaremi. But still very satisfying from a storyline perspective.

Ruvenge of the queens had given feels that I dont think any Drag Race episode has given me - I was at the edge of my sit SCREAMING, I will never forger the day I watched it for the first time.
One of my favorites is the season 6 roast! An iconic and legendary episode on so many levels!!!
I loved either season 5 comedy, or Daytona winds. Daytona winds was so good all around, the challenge, the runways, and of course the lipsync
any season 6 episode tbh. I'm really biased bc s6 is my favorite and I rewatch it whenever I want to feel good. it really comes down to what you are looking for, like you said. for example, halfway through AS7 episode 6, I thought to myself "this is one of the best episodes of drag race ever" because I was having so much fun, the concepts of the groups, the rehearsals, I was laughing loudly and it made me happy haha
One of my favourites is the Drag on a Time/ball episode of UK3, everyone does well and it's a interesting shake up of the normal ball formula and of course a great lip-sync
UK3 is one of my unironically favourite seasons of drag race
My favorite episode is Frenemies, both the main episode and untucked are built under the pillars of what makes reality tv great, with multiple storylines coming to a boil in a really entertaining way

i think also understanding the lanuage and refrences do help with the internation seasons... like with drag race Holland i always enjoy it and its in my top like 10 franchies...and i think thats because i speak afrikaans which is close to dutch so i dont really need the subtitles and alot of the time with the international seasons it isnt translated correctly into english so that might play a factor
