Yeah, I agree. She has an engaging enough personality to where she doesn't need cleavage for views. I found this channel before knowing she was a cosplayer (although she usually says it in the intro, the first video I saw here didn't mention cosplaying.) I prefer the normal clothes because it means we can take her opinion more seriously, as opposed to thirst-trapping.

I've always thought the Snyderverse was overrated AF, but the fact that it ended without us ever getting the Batfleck solo movie is literally insane.
All of those sound godawful and I'd rather have to be tortured with another woke Disney+ Marvel show than watch any of those.

This is why listening to snyder interview is important. You can found snyder said wb demand him to make clark kent grew up in metropolis which he told nolan. Nolan protect him by purchasing a land to build kent's house and grew crops.

While I agree with you Jay on most parts..I will have to disagree with you on saying this is the end of the Snyderverse...The True Snyderverse ended when Zack Snyder had to step away from his Justice League movie...Whether you like his movies or not you could tell whether he influenced the movie or he didn`t...Compare Aquaman 1 to this mess and compare the first Wonderwoman movie to WW 1984 totally different tones....The talking heads have gone out of their way to make sure these movies were bad and to make sure the cast that Snyder brought in were stomped into the ground in favor of Gunn`s DC version of Guardians of the Galaxy titled Superman Legacy.....Happy New Year to you and your family and Keep pushing forward...

I have to say I think you were very successful in not talking about the Amber problem. 😂 As for the DCEU... Right from the moment when they rushed it... Starting from BVS I could see the downwards spiral and lost interest. The guy who died in the wheel chair... He was supposed to be in a giant mec kryptonite suit. From here the ending of the movie could have been... lex setting off a bomb in that mec right when Superman uses his heat vision. Batman witnesses his best friend die at Superman's hands... Not realising Lex is actually responsible... It would have set up a proper fight scene for them... Maybe the movie wouldn't have ended with things being resolved.) Who is missing? Wonderwoman and making of Doomsday. Those could have been add briefly... And then a proper movie with Lex, Doomsday, Superman, Wonderwoman and batman along with the kidnapping of Clark's mum... The movie could have had Wonderwoman and Lois putting it all together... Superman and Batman talking and fighting it out. Superman pleading for his mother's life... Also pointing out Lex's involvement in this... And saying even if you believe i am responsible for your friend please save my mother. At which point Wonderwoman and Lois would have turned up. Wonderwoman and batman would saved clarks mother. All so clark can take down Lex. Lex unleashes doomsday... And the rest is in the BVS movie. Then... The justice league Snyder cut. Sucide squad. Aquaman... Wonderwoman. As for a few suprises which could have been focused on in another movie... You remember... When superman walked through that giant ship in Man of Steel... A pod was open... Supergirl... You have an orgin story for her on krypton. Her family was killed by brainac... To keep it a secret since brainac was found and used on krypton she and the rest of her family were excommunicated... braniac was uploaded and slaved to a world engine. Supergirl is told this right before she leaves krypton. (This world engine is the same one zod uses... In... Man of Steel.) Something goes wrong with the pods on Supergirl/kara's ship. It goes off course and arrives on earth. (A whole movie or two could go into what Supergirl has been doing all these years.) Then when clark faces the world engine Supergirl wonders... Is it the same world engine brainiac is trapped in which could have lead into a man of steel 2... With superman, supergirl dealing with brainac... The rest of the justice league could have gotten involved. Martian man hunter could have gotten involved after being recruited by Bruce. Brainiac laughs and says you may have stopped me but Lex knows all your identities... This could have lead to more movies... A batman Deathstroke movie. Other villains for superman and co to face which would end up in being a justice league 2... Movie. Suicide squad 2. A Harley Quinn movie. A joker/Batman and Harley Quinn movie... Wonderwoman 2... (done right) focus on a movie for each of the gods and lanterns which leads to a justice league 3 movie for them... ending in the battle that Wonderwoman spoke about in the justice league Snyder cut. Now have a lanterns movie... Shazam movie and a movie in the present day for each of the gods... Namely a mantle being passed on... This leads into the justice league 4 which refocus on the mother box's... You know zack Snyder's plan for part 2 of the justice league Snyder cut. Do another 4 movies then rap it all up in the third and final part of the justice league Snyder cut....
The Snyder verse could really have been something... But it wasn't was it? All because of trying to rush it... Most of this I just came up with on the fly... Anyway I had a good time thinking about what could have been... Hopefully the next slate of the new DC doesn't rush things. I will give it a chance... Hopefully they learn from the mistakes which were made by rushing and not allowing that world to slowly come alive.
I enjoyed Aquaman 2. Saw it twice actually just to make sure it wasn't a fluke 🤣. I am a comic fan so I could be biased. I like that Aquaman is contained to its own universe (Aquaman related stuff) and didn't need outside DC lore or cameos to help the movie. Jason Momoa secretly got to play Lobo for like 2 seconds lol. I'm not one of the ppl who cared about Amber Heard cuz I don't care what what celebs or ppl do in their personal life. She's there to do a job and the lil scenes she had worked. Love the interaction between Arthur & Orm. Occasionally I thought Black Panther be cuz I can seem them doing a similar story with T'Challa (R.I.P. Chadwick) & Killmonger. CGI wasn't so bad that made me dislike it. I think it was one scene that I said ew to (them climbing the castle). Action was good. Black Manta was good. My only disappointment was Aquaman not getting his hand cut off and they had a scene where it could've happened. Simple story that flows pretty well for a sequel (its not winter soldier good) cuz most sequels aren't good. The movie could easily fit in either the DCEU or DCU. This is probably my 4th favorite DCEU film. I should go watch this again 🤣
End of the DCEU, not the Snyderverse. The DCEU is MOS to Aquaman 2; the Snyderverse is MOS, BVS UE, SS, WW, ZSJL and Aquaman. That's it. That is all that got made of the original slate of ZS (and CO)'s plan. Calling the whole DCEU the Snyderverse is like calling Batman Forever, and & Robin the Burtonverse.

Yes that correct. The real snyderverse ended with snyder's cut that supposed to released in 2017. Aquaman 1 is under geoff John back then before Walter hamada came and took over for hamadaverse

I saw Aquaman 2 in Dolby Cinema. It's about a 50% drop in quality to the BILLION dollar predecessor Aquaman. The main issue was shooting before having a solid script. Terrible, convoluted story. Fortunately it wasn't a complete waste of time. There is just enough dumb, popcorn movie action fun to keep one entertained. Think Transformers under water. Like a Transformers movie, you'll be thinking about something else within an hour of seeing this.

Why do these studios think a superhero movie needs to be silly and the story doesn't matter? They don't do this with the fantasy movies they adapt from novels. Example Lord of the rings.

If you are not a sci-fi, fantasy, superhero fan ( 20%-30% of America), you are just a 'normie', and you see all of this stuff as silly. You most likely have a brain that is less powerful than a go kart motor, you are COMMITTED to college and professional sports because they are 'real', and everything you watch on CZcams and TikTok is campy. ALL OF IT! You hate foreign films, subtitled films, anime, and Kdrama, and are a sea slug in the Genus: 'soontobeextinctus'
And those are the people writing and directing these films. Period. (I'm looking at you Taika Waititi).

As someone who quite likes the Snyderverse proper (MoS, Director's Cut of BvS, WW, ZSJL, and Aquaman), it's been in trouble from the beginning. Snyder's grand vision was compelling and a stark contrast from Marvel (which, as a Marvel fan, is a good thing, imo), but the studio would just never let him go for it. As a result, his films were consistently neutered and his tone watered-down. It's clear that, even though WB signed up to have Snyder run the show, they were never going to let him really do it, because they just wanted DC to be more Marvel (from a tone perspective).
So, BvS's theatrical cut was atrocious and they repeated that mistake with JL, where they gave Snyder the boot completely. But then WB went on to make WW1984 and The Flash, which were absolutely awful (the former of which is truly one of the worst movies I have ever seen). I haven't seen Aquaman 2 or Blue Beetle yet, but I can't say I'm excited to.
I'm sad the Snyderverse mostly never got the chance it deserved, I thought it was pretty cool.

Lets face it. Superhero movies are dead. It was exciting when they started to treat comic heros seriously in movies like 20 years ago, but it got old real quick when you had to see batmans mother die, superman arrives on earth and spiderman getting bitten by a spider 10 times over and over again and never really new material, only reboots of reboots of reboots for allways the same stories. Considering that there are literally 10,000th of comic books to choose material from, the conclution is that movie makers are the most boring and uncreative people on earth.
In these dark times for DC, Snarky Jay is a ray of hope.
At this point, DC needs to reboot. But take your time to plan everything out like Marvel did for their first three phases.

I just went and saw it. Thought I'd been in for two hours and it had only been 30 mins. It was so poor. Product placement in the film is borderline unacceptable and the acting laughable 😂

I'm glad the snyderverse is finally over. I was never a fan. Especially what Snyder did to Superman in Man of Steel. I've always said Aquaman was miscast. I like Jason Momoa as an actor. To my knowledge he hasn't blamed fans for a movie of his failing. I from the jump said Jason would be the perfect casting as Lobo. There's some actors/actress' you look at and say they'd be a perfect so and so. I just hope this failure won't keep Jason Momoa from playing Lobo.

The real Snyderverse died a long time ago. After the Whedon cut of the Justice League and the coming of Gunn everthing became more and more a comedy. Look at Aquaman in the Snyder cut of JL, he's bad*ss in that movie.

I'm probably in the minority here but at this point I feel Incredibly burnt out on superhero movies with crazy bloated CGI As well as predictable characters. I wish someone in Hollywood would do something ambitious like a practical effects driven Batman movie the way Tim Burton originally did it. At this point I just find The general look of these films to be almost nauseating. But also they probably wouldn't feel quite as bad if they had compelling stories still.
Superhero must using CGI, its impossible to make Jason momoa swimming and talking at the same time. They actually did practical FX cameo in BvS but everybody hate that

I am going to make a prediction. With the possible exception of Deadpool 3 - Every Marvel and DCU movie will be bad and flop. The other exception are a few DC TV Shows and Movies on Max (Dumb name).

This movie was made to fulfill the contracts and that’s it, its like the last day of school everybody just wanted to be over and go home.
Regardless what James Gunn comes up with, It's guaranteed to be better than the Snyderverse. GOD I hated the Synderverse! I've been waiting for it to reboot since Batman vs Superman. Synder sucks. He's always sucked. He hasn't had one good original IP; the closest being Sucker Punch. If he just released his own trash like Rebel Moon, no one would care.
I can't fathom the Snyder Bros (and Snyder Chicks.) I honestly don't know what's worse; Marvel Phase 4 & 5, or the entirety of the DCEU. They had an entire blueprint of a shared universe created over the course of 15 years; the DC Animated Universe. All they had to do is get Bruce Timm and do that! Just talking about how bad Warner Bros screwed up the DC Universe upsets me!
So yeah, I'd say Aquaman 2 deserved to flop; if for nothing else than leaving Amber Heard in the movie and giving audiences a giant middle finger and saying how their input doesn't matter. Whatever Gunn has planned, it can't be worse than the last ten years.

I honestly have low expectations for this film that way i don't be too disappointed 😄 I honestly want to see Black Manta which is the saving grace for me. But ill let you know what i think. I wonder... If Warner bros. decided to simply discard a film like they did with Batgirl, can the studio file an insurance claim? If your property is hit by a disaster, you can often make an insurance claim. What if the disaster hitting the film is the movie itself? Does that count? It would be one way for the studio to recoup some of its financial loss.

I think people misunderstand this side of the super hero fandom's "i told you so" attitude. We're watching studios backtrack to the same mistakes they were making decades ago when they would land a comic IP and proceed to have no faith in the source material, wildly change key elements of events and characters, and end up with forgettable movies. Only now, they're do this to the tune of 200+ million per film and then blame the audience for not supporting them.
No comics book movies ever followed the source material even video games movies make big changes way it's is

I have no kids 🤣 but i had fun with it. Did i prefer the first? Yes. But it was a fun pop corn "movie theatre movie" if that make any sense. Maybe im a bit of a man child sure ill fully admit but hey i like to have fun.
I also am a huge cinephile. I watched 151 movies this year so i watch a lot of DTV stuff and often im like "that was ok...it past time". And we talking very low budget action movies. So i don't need a lot to be entertained
But you see i go to the theatre to watch big cgi movies like superhero or action. Not stuff like Killers of the Flower Moon no matter how deep and good the story may be. I keep that for home so i can watch cosy, take pauses if i want etc.
Superhero stuff is made for theatre. And yes i did go during the Christmas break but dang i never saw the theatre so packed for a 1pm screening 😱

The actors of these DC films have just got to be pissed. Jason puts in a ton of effort every role he gets and for the piss poor direction these films took just screws over the actors and the IPs

I'm gonna be honest i have theory that the majority of audiences and mostly teens are just tired of superhero movies unless it is Batman or Spider-Man or that are genuinely well made like guardians 3 or Logan

The difference in handling between both studios is night and day. Marvel had a rather consistent streak with the MCU despite the peaks and valleys in quality. It sucks now because they don’t know what to do post-Thanos and it was made worse because Iger and Feigi decided to appeal to a small crowd of ideologues who were never invested to begin with with people who are clearly incompetent (She-Hulk, I’m looking at you).
The DCEU however spiked the football right at the start and they’ve been flopping around like a half rotted magikarp ever since. WB rushed to BvS when they should’ve taken their time and they’ve been throwing darts (and missing with most of them) ever since. And for every decent entry like Wonder Woman they’ve corkscrewed with 5 other entries that regardless of which mob they appealed to ended up being an uneventful mess.
Great points. And me personally I also don't think Snyder was the right guy for the job for DC to begin with. Snyder comes across as a guy who is far more focused on the visuals and making his films look good rather than having a good script and actually be good. It's like having a playbook of nothing but hail marys and hoping to win that way while completely leaving out the run game.
Not to mention a lot of the main characters throughout the Snyderverse felt completely mis-cast. Gal Gadot, Momoa, Ezra Miller...just to name a few
@@41Brother2 Gal and Jason I grew to like over time but Miller and Eisenberg were not at all the right choices (worst Lex Luthor I’ve ever seen). Not to mention I had grown tired over the slo mo shots and the “evil Superman” subplot which I had no interest in whatsoever. Also I really don’t think Harley Quinn is nearly as popular as WB thinks she is.

Knowing that the DCEU was over and they pulled all the cameos of the other DC characters off the shelf, what did you expect?
I sure hope that Gunn can build a better universe, but it doesn’t look too good for DC at this point. Gunn will have to blow it out of the water, something much better than the last Guardians movie. It was pretty good, but that’s because it’s what we expect from the Guardians. If his DC ventures look just like Guardians repurposed, it’s not going to go well.
I have to admit that Gunn did a great job with The Suicide Squad, but anything would have topped the first Suicide Squad movie. That one was terrible. Gunn also did a pretty good job with the show Peacemaker, which I heard got a second season, I think?
I enjoyed watching the entire season, so did my wife. Vigilante was just quirky enough to make it fun, but it kind of felt a bit like early Marvel, where they thought everything has to be funny, but I think that Gunn did a good job, like with Guardians, of not ruining the more dramatic scenes with jokes, like Marvel seem to like to do.
All gunn has to do is put underwear on top of superman's suit and all the snyder haters will eat it up. The suicide squad and peacemaker were mediocre, it was a boring version of darker GOTG. "Whether you like his movies or not you could tell whether he influenced the movie or he didn`t...Compare Aquaman 1 to this mess and compare the first Wonderwoman movie to WW 1984 totally different tones" etc

The cast itself remind me justice league and not superman solo movie. There's plenty great superman story need to be adapt but obviously gunn trying to pleased wb by not follow comic
@boboboy8189 Yea, you're right. Also with so many characters, there will be a lack of character development like GOTG or TSS, but no one will complain. However, they complained about Wonder Woman in Bvs and JL without their own solo movies but forgot GOTG and TSS characters never got solo movies, Peacemaker came later, Star Wars Darth Vader origin came later etc. To them, introducing a character before their own solo movie/origin story is only wrong when Snyder does it, and they only call that lack of character development for Snyder. Basically, Snyder is not allowed to have sequels to prequels
@@boboboy8189 …as talented as Gunn is, creating a story not from the comics is a risk. Especially since there is such a wealth of great stories from nearly 100 years of comic book publications. Superman was introduced in 1938, we’re only 14 years from his 100th birthday. Any comic published for that many years much have hundreds of great stories already written and just needs to be to embellishments in order to stretch them out to a two hour movie, or just write two or three great stories stitched together? How can you lose at that point? You have an already time tested story created for you?
Disappointing, but not surprising at all. I've hated the SNYDERVERSE ever since Ben Affleck was cast as Batman. (one of the worst Bruce Wayne portrals I ever saw). I have nothing against people that like trash... that's on them, but I despise fanboys/fangirls of any IP because they tend to ignore any flaws in favor of their fandom and that encourages studios to continue to make trash because those fanboys will still go out there and pay for it. I am a fan of the characters from both Marvel and DC, but the way they have been mishandled in the movies is a complete shame. I keep hoping the box office failures wakes the studios up, but no. Let's continue to not give the fans what they want, and instead let's keep throwing manure against the silver screen and see what sticks.
