Wow, that store is world class! Without doing any detailed analysis of your prices, my quick impression is that, compared to the US prices: your bread is dirt cheap, your pineapples are really expensive, the Lindt chocolate is about the same, and your overall total is probably about the same.
The items I've particularly noted here in Salt Lake City, which is comparable to prices in most of the US, over the past year or so: cucumbers have been crazy cheap (often around two for $1), pineapples have been very reasonable (usually $2.50 to $3 each), and avocados (approx. 2/3 from Mexico and 1/3 from California) have been crazy expensive, roughly double what they were a year ago (now often $1.50 each for medium or large). Slava’s videos are always in for excellent content both visually and in the wording used.
Especially his final comment as to why he published this video filmed at the beginning of the year shows Slava and his beautiful wife are special people who have experienced the world “outside “ Russia while the vast majority of Russians will never see this. Now, is it still appropriate to give a such a compliment to a person in Russia while “Pjotr the Short” and his minions are trying to divide the people in the country into those being all for his dreadful regime or being “traitors”?
Anyway, it’s good to see Slava and Lena are continuing to produce excellent content from outside Russia. Let’s hope their exodus will not last too long until they can return to their home country.
Great videos bud, Wish Y’all the best
Slava hey ! What's up? Another awesome video !!!
A lot of fun Slava. Thanks for the shopping adventure!
Awesome video. Thanks you!
I'm from Minnesota USA I love your CZcams channel would have never known what Russia was really like if I didn't watch it you guys are just like us so much
This supermarket reminds me of a very upscale Whole Foods in a big city, but the prices are way cheaper in Yekaterinburg compared to say, Seattle or Portland. Fascinating video, to me anyway. BTW I mostly cook with Canola oil or Olive oil. How have things changed since the war and sanctions took hold? Thanks for the post!
I haven’t been to this store in a while. never heard of canola oil!
@@RussianPlus Canola oil is what Rapeseed oil is sold as here in the US
@@RussianPlus Canola is also known as "rapeseed". The name "canola" comes from "Canada". It's considered healthier than other common vegetable oils such as corn oil or cottonseed oil.
that makes sense! we have rapeseed fields here
Prices are lower by how much?
Thank you for your video I am a Canidian I enjoyed very much.God bless you both and your country
Appreciate Your Wonderful Videos 💕
Very good shopping mall. Thank you for this tour Slava & Lana
Looks like a really nice shopping center!
I love watching how people all over the world live their daily lives. We are different but have the human experience in common, though it is different from place to place. Lots of people speak English in Russia, it's fairly amazing. I hope you are doing well during this time. Blessings from Chicago ☀️☺️
Greetings from Wisconsin USA 🇺🇸👍
Very nice...and, just think...only 30 years ago, Russia didn't have any kinds of food supermarkets like that.
Lovely store, beautiful products.
What would shopping be like today in the same store? Love your videos!!
"Now comes the worst part
Now we will Pay
Can you imagine"
😂😂🤣🤣
That’s a beautiful grocery store. We use avocado oil and coconut oil. Sometimes olive oil.
Americans don't cook with Coconut oil. We use either Vegetable oil, olive oil or butter. Never coconut oil. Coconut oil is for moisturizing your hair.
Not so anymore. Coconut oil is being used for everything, including cooking
Some people use coconut oil for cooking
The fish pie looks delicious, it was a very good pick.
I haven't seen your channel for a long time but happy this showed up. I do see a couple of other channels from Russia. You still have your Tennessee accent. All the best to you and all of your country.
I’m gonna have a video about uzbekistan in a couple of days but it’s going to be on my coolvision channel.
@@RussianPlus Thanks for your reply. I'll try to find it. Was just watching your road trip in Georgia. Beautiful.
It was fun shopping with you. Stay safe.
I’d like to shop in that store!
great store. my favourite:)
Certainly beats the food banks we use in the Democratic and free Republic of Ireland in the EU....
Nice video. Yekaterinburg is on my bucket list for a while. Unfortunately I guess I won't be visiting soon now. So sad!
I,am French and used to live 15years in OKLAHOMA.. I have to say you have in RUSSIA a lot more reference than WALMART, better choice of yogurt, cheese, fish, chocolates, cans, etc.... a lot of more item they have in WALMART (walmart have a bigger quantity but less references) .. .. your shop look like an AUCHAN, HYPER-U, CARREFOUR in France...
Hello! We also have Auchan, 5 minutes from my house. Big supermarket. The product is also a little different in it.
@@dmitriysedjkee1151 good to know AUCHAN Don, t left RUSSIA 👍
"contact the cashier, god damn..." Nice one! icing on the cake.
Love from Miami. Lots of Russians here! Also your English is amazing man!
thank you
My wife and I watched this one too. She was really interested. And she thinks your wife is lovely. And we are in the middle of the Konigsberg/Kalingrad video. Well done as well.
Love this video, Thank you for sharing, I would love to one day move here
Thank you for sharing! That's a nice grocery store! Here in Canada I use either Avocado oil or Coconut oil for cooking at high temperatures (Coconut mostly for dessert). I love olive oil in salads. I really love your content! I too hope and pray for peace... Take care and stay safe!
thanks. wow never heard of avocado oil 😊
coffee (not the instant one 😀) and bread sections are my favorite places at grocery store 😀
Oh, man. The price is not cheap. But what a supermarket, you can buy everything there.
Yes,it is😀👍
Interesting. Great video.
Man I'd love to go shopping with you two. Just to see all the great looking food you guys have. Too bad you can't grocery store graze any more the same thing here I miss it. But that food looks oh so good. Oh here's a greek salad for you. It's made of cucumbers, dill, and what's called tzatziki sauce I love it my step dad makes it from time to time.
The standard loaf of bread in US is $4
your english is perfect, you almost dont even have an accent
Nice video Slava, I’m sad for you and the tragedy taking place in Ukraine. I hoped humanity was moving forward but it seems we aren’t. I guess all we can do is hope and pray that goodness, kindness and understanding prevails
u dont know nothing about this war,.except what your TV propaganda shows you
That's a wonderful prayer Absolutely!
We use olive oil in Greece. Thank you for supporting greek salad. I hope one day we can exchange cultures again.
Great video. Can't wait to visit Russia/Moscow.
