FILM DESCRIPTION:
Idris Elba (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, The Suicide Squad) stars in a pulse-pounding new thriller about a father and his two teenage daughters who find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savannah has but one apex predator. Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley, Russian Doll series, Maleficent), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them.

He was so intelligent to bring the rampaging lion to the territory of the other lions...What a brilliant idea he had...
Imanol Lopez Romero: he is furious, rabid, vengeful, mischievous, rogue and rebellious for his pride, the guilty the poachers. The pride where Kuda and Kawe are do not give him a remedy, they know that he is an uninvited intruder, but i think that he is the leader of his own pride and they do not receive being part of them

Funny how nature has a way of restoring order
he led them to lions that were comfortable around humans meaning the pride wouldn't attack him and the males would focus solely on the new invading male

This is what I call the R-Rated Version of The Lion King
a real lion would go for the throat so the fight would only last 2 seconds.
He should have brought his machete that have we seen it earlier to be a bit realistic but it’s still not likely.
It would have been savage and over so quickly as you say. None of this wrestling and grappling for the movies nonsense.
It's not as bad if it was a Jaguar then it would last 2 seconds because Jaguars go for the skull.
The movie was amazing and in the wild lions would really wrestle their prey if they move too much.
So every thing about this movie was amazing really cool.
That rogue lion is truly a formidable beast. Despite the flames and the knife stuck in his shoulder, he defended himself admirably against the two brothers.

GREAT MOVIE...... no way he survives more than 30 seconds though
For real. 0:38, his head (and neck) are right there and we know for a fact that predators (especially Apex) go for the throat for instant kills. Hollywood do the typical "Imma throw him around instead of just straight up killing him" except this time the lion is just biting and not doing any real damage. Shattered bones, knee caps and chunks of flesh would be ripped from the body, blood everywhere and Nate would have barely enough sense to breathe, let alone move.
He would expire(Die of excess Trauma Even if the Lion Didn't Bite him), The Claw's & scratches alone would make him go into shock due to the loss of Blood & make his Organs shut down.
@@thetobynator1373 This lion was anything but typical. Its believable it wanted to toy with him. That and he was most definitely torn apart(his leg and knee specifically).
If it was a maneater then it might just enjoy eating people alive, rather than killing them off quickly. If I recall correctly the Ghosts of Tsavo would frequently take workers in the dead of night, then eat them alive within earshot of the camp.

They weren't stalking the rouge lion kuda and kowaye the two pride males were surrounding the lion so he couldn't escape most pride males would surround another male to finds it weakness.

Yea but also that was the most unrealistic part. Humans are completely helpless against a lion let alone a angry full grown male.. he might have lived if he was very lucky but one swipe and he’s done
Yeah.. But the movie made the lion look very helpless as he was trying every means to not kill Idris.. In reality, one punch from a young African male lion, and someone's game is over...

1:45 That was a brilliant idea right there. Using the lion brothers to attack the rogue lion. Knowing the other lions would have no choice but to attack the intruder Lion for invading their territory for being a threat to their pride.

I agree, I like that the rogue lion dies by being mauled by the other lions rather than Idris somehow defeating the rogue lion with his knife.
But I feel terrible for the rouge lion he just wants a pride but if kuda and kowaye weren't brothers and kowaye was the prides male he would have gotten over thrown .

No way, you see how big Kowaye was compared to the rogue? He could’ve taken him. And if he couldn’t, that’s why lions are the only cat to travel in groups. They rely on numbers.

Admit it, as soon as the lion brothers attacked the rogue, we ALL had that music where Simba fought Scar from "Lion King" playing in our heads.
My first thought was Mufasa and Simba come together to take down Scar.

(At 1:05 to 1:06 and at 1:43 to 2:19 ) The Lion Brothers, Kuda and Kawe are like: "GET AWAY FROM HIM, YOU (BLEEP)!!! NOBODY KILLS AN INNOCENT HUMAN ON OUR WATCH!!!"
I know that the Law of the Jungle is “When a Lion enters another prides territory the males will kill it” I like to believe though that the Two Lion Brothers killed the rouge lion because they smelled Martins scent on it and realized that it killed him. So since the two lion he raised viewed him as a mother form they did what the rouge lion also did and took revenge for what it did to Martin.

My only necessary complaint with that theory is that Martins blood was probably mostly burned in the fire. But I don't know how well lions can smell.
Even so Male lions show no mercy towards intruders in their territory. Especially when it's a another male lion. They'll see him as a threat for the pride
Movie was a pleasant surprise, after all the bad reviews I expected something much worse. The cgi lions also look pretty good the effects team did a great job.
Honestly I've seen the movie its awesome but a part of me really wanted to see the whole fight with the 2 lions vs the bad lion

To kill a lion, a spear is the bare minimum weapon to be wielded. Swords and knives are too short ranged for the quick strikes of the lion
I like how he was just casually tearing him apart while not being bothered by some pretty decent blows. I thought this would be a stupid scene but it turned out fairly well, made me think we were wrong about the ending of The Grey

Never seen a Man fighting with a Lion he fought quite good for the fact that usually we wouldn't stand a chance in a real Human Vs. Lion fight without our weapons.
I just want to say to anyone whose watching this, there are people who have been attacked by lions and survived. Lions are not the main hunters, the lionesses are. So they are more likely to disable the prey before going in for the kill.
I didn't get Liam Neeson fighting a wolf scene in THE GREY (I love the movie and I like the preparation and the aftermath of the wolf fight) so I'm happy I got Idris Elba punching a Lion in the face scene.

You definitely got to suspend some disbelief for this kind of movie. But yeah, there’s no way he survives that fight. He had that Home Alone 2 Sticky Bandits plot armor on.
Eh it was fun to watch. I suppose it's not impossible - maybe you get lucky and the lion misses all your arteries and critical organs for a while until the reinforcements arrive. Shrug.
It's possible to survive the initial attack, but he would have def died from his injuries.
Even if he die survive, he'd have severe nerve damage or paralysis because the lion bites his spine a couple times here, which is one of a lion's favorite targets. He also takes some pretty bad swipes to his chest and torso. So assuming he doesn't die to blood loss he'd be paralyzed with reduced organ function at the very least
Wow, it's truly amazing that they caught this real lion attack on camera. If a lion ever tried to attack me, I'd just punch that stupid cat right in his face just like this guy did.

Extremely badass when other 2 lion's attack rogue lion
That lion, even weakened as he was, would have killed the guy in seconds flat. People don't realize how savage and powerful a 500-pound male lion is. I've worked with them as a zookeeper and seen how ferocious they are up close. He would have crunched that guy's neck like a stick of celery.
Take in account this, that particular lion was not normal, he was kiling humans not to eat but for revenge, but at the end it wanted to torture the dad before kiling it

I see a lot of people say that the fight should've ended in WAY sooner, do they also not acknowledge the fact that the lion fell off a cliff, and got torched in a car fire prior to this fight. Like yeah Mike Tyson can knock you out full stop but he'll have a hard time doing so if he fell off a great height and also lit on fire. Either way the lion is in a VERY injured state and would struggle to take down Idris here.

It was a great scene and I enjoyed the movie though and it does highlight the fact that humans are the cause of alot of the animals going rogue.
Imanol Lopez Romero: now that Nate fights against Shere Khan but why doesn't he fight the poachers who weren't strong against them instead of fighting the rogue lion, the lion doesn't eat when he kills humans because of the tragedy of his pride by poachers assassins. Not all humans are bad, they can surprise animals until they protect them from illegal hunting, that does not make animals rogue, rebellious and mischievous
