"Mana isn't going to be an issue with how much we ramp in this deck"
A sentence I never thought I'd hear talking about Boros...
Same tho
Dude Boros has gotten some great stuff recently. My Wyleth deck draws enough cards that it actually needs several no hand limit cards. Consistantly
Imagine getting rid of your opponents strongest artifact, only for them to double it back up.
This is getting out of hand, now there are two of them.
Anointed procession for 4
And if it's panharmonicon........
@@fenixmeaney6170 Nice idea!
My favorite thing about him is that we all thought he was a dwarf when he is quite literally the opposite
I'd say it makes sense, given proportions and shit
I mean, there's a reason they hired Peter Dinklage to play a Giant in Infinity War
Dude I thought he was a dwarf to! I'm actually kinda bummed that he's not!
I'm sad, Dwarf Tribal got one nice card in Kaldheim but it's still struggling to find it's identity outside of doing equip synergy worse than Kor.
@@Avengedtenfold it honestly is such an undersupported tribe :’/
@@perezortegavalentin9343 he is still a dwarf in that actually, they're the smiths of the gods.
You know you gotta start running more graveyard hate when even Boros is playing with the yard.
I play boros reanimator polymorph and getting the yard cleared hurts ahaha
people will soon slide in that rest in peace
Imagine creating Wayfarer's Bauble with this and using repopulate effects on it over and over
Just to note that Populate (the mechanic) only works on token creatures.
@@m.r.r.2636 Oh lol guess its back to the drawing board
@@ReZELpilot Animate the token.
Oh... Osgir is now an honorary scarecrow and he is going in my Reaper King.
Title: Boros card advantage!! theres boros card advantage!!
Wyleth: *cries*
QQ
Wyleth is great, but it is nice to get a boros value commander that doesn't rely on combat.
I didn't even know that card existed!
I wanna put Osgir in my deck, that already has Wyleth in the 99! 😁
It's probably no coincidence that one of the most popular Boros commanders is Feather because she gets tons of potential card advantage and value....in exchange for building around her of course making most her lists pretty static but still!
I've never wanted to play Boros more in my life, this is so cool
Boros, sorry, Lorehold
Speaking of the name thing though, maybe we, as a community, could use this. Boros are the bad Red White commanders, while Lorehold are the good ones
You come back here and say that to Feather's face, buster! Lol
@@GothamKnight-hsw4vx526430 Exactly, Feather isn't a Boris commander, they are Lorehold.
Feather is still boros because thats the guild's name on the plane that feather is from and lorehold is specific to strixhaven, i get where you're coming from but boros has been slept on for way too long
Winota and Feather are finally joined by a third good Boros commander.

Spoiler season: getting 100 times more content from Mitch then usual
Nowadays there isn't any time that isn't spoiler season
Hey Mitch keep up the great work
Thanks! Will do!
Willowdusk is a really interesting and unconventional Commander, and I'd love to see someone of your caliber tackle the challenge of brewing around her
Challenge? Its a easy build a card like minon of the wastes + vito onboard = a easy win
Zirda makes Osgir super efficient. Tasty synergy.
I wanted to say the same thing.
OH I got to mention pull from eternity! It's a single white, and put target card from exile into the graveyard. I primarily thought of this from the ugin's nexus interaction so that it could then be copied from grave, but this also works great with any other high target artifact to put it in graveyard and then create two more tokens of it. Cheers!
jesus, the commanders this year are no joke.
I built Aesi, and now the DS one tramples it? I dont like it. =/
@@NECROLORDZ lol
Some cards are pretty good, but the deck is not invincible, and based on Artifacts, so open your blue brother/sister...
I'm building the Witherbloom commander... Wall of Blood + Momentous Fall... Pay almost all my life, make the wall a 40/40, sac it... Gain 40 life and draw 40 cards.
Using WitherBloom makes it a safer play
Goblin engineer seems very strong with this commander.
remember the buyout couple of weeks ago?.... now you now!
It's nice that you are so fast and so such a quality content. Keep that up👍☺️
I am super excited for this commander. So much card advantage. Imagine with an anoited procession out making 4 sol rings on turn 3.
No one's talking about storm kiln artist, one of the most busted uncommons I've seen in a while, treasures off not just cast but also copy, like wow, my Krark and sakashima deck got a major power up
Doubling mana rocks is actually a really cool way for a non-green deck to ramp
I don't think I've ever been this early. Congrats on 200k Mitch, your videos are great!
Mana value? Really wizards.
Also I kinda like this card
At least it's easier to say than converted mana cost.
@Bo Kuen Tao but new wouldn't know what "cmc" means
@Bo Kuen Tao no I meant "CMC" being shorthand or MTG slang for converted mana cost. Granted it's not that hard to pick up on it's meaning, however when reading directly from the card, mana value rolls off the tongue better than converted mana cost. At least in my opinion.
An interesting (though expensive) way to create loops in this deck could be via Codex Shredder and Pull from Eternity. For 5 mana, you can sac Shredder to get back any card from your graveyard, so here's a potential loop.
Have Codex Shredder in your yard, Osgir on the battlefield, and Pull in your hand. Use Osgir's ability to exile Shredder, making 2 copies, then cast Pull to put it back in your graveyard. Then use one of the Shredder copies to put Pull back in your hand. You can then cast Pull again to put whatever you want back in your yard, and another Shredder to get it back out again. Repeat.
It's a slow loop that requires multiple turns to get real value, assuming you don't have any untap effects, but it allows you to repeatedly copy valuable artifacts, so I think it's worth including in a commander deck.
The Artifact lands sound really fucking disgusting
Good thing they made a dual land version that’s indestructible haha
It's worth noting that Karn, the Great Creator can retrieve the artifacts your commander exiles, so you can use them again.
Pull from Eternity + Isochron Scepter would work too!
Hey you could use Wayfarer's bauble to ramp and then ramp twice more
I love this set because as a history major this card looks greattt!
I feel like this is the strongest of the c21 commanders
Idk man that Quandrix commander seems pretty good...
100% this thing can get u 2 chrome mox, lotus petal, sol ring, arcane signet, etc.
And then there is me..waiting for strixheaven, waiting for wizards and hoping for a STRONG IZZET ( The best representation of"magic" in magic with spells and wizards) commander and they gave it to me that shitty 4 mana 1/4 understats as fuck with the only actually playable effect of scrying every time..
@@alessandrodellanno948 at least if you (somehow) cast a 10 cmc spell you get all the effect, you scry, create a 4/4 and 10 damage. But there surely will be some support to cast such spells
Finally lol.
Annointed procession in this deck will be ridiculous if you have a lot of artifact creatures
It works on non creatures also
I was already pretty excited for this commander but this video gave me some new ideas. I love this new direction for Boros that isn't just purely "aggro smash smash".
Some more considerations: I think wheels, rummage and selfmill effects could be really good here because they refill yoir hand but also fill your yard for Osgir to take advantage of.
I don't really play Boros. Ever. I want to play this commander, that ability is really cool.
I am going to build this using the affiliate link. This will be my first commander deck. Osgir seems so much fun! Thanks for the video!
On my way to work and you've started my day right. Thanks for the great work as always. Looking forward to more videos in future.
Janky, but equipment build. The white creature to make equip cost 0 plus doubling your equipment
How is equipment janky? Double kaldras murders faces. There’s a bunch of great equipments and support for them.
Also on the topic of Card Draw: Skull Clamp, especially if you have a way to generate 1 toughness tokens.
For Ugin's Nexus you can still use the doubling ability just put the card into your graveyard another way, then use your commander's ability to make two copies. one copy is immediately sacrificed due to the legend rule. use your commander's other ability to sacrifice the second, then you take two extra turns!
Dragon Throne of Tarkir would be a wonderful card for him. Basically the deck is going to run a lot of Modular artifact creatures from Darksteel; which can come back with his second ability. So you can use them as chump blockers as long as you have one or two to take all the +1s. Then equip the Throne on the stacked one; then have that one tap to give all the other creatures tons of damage and trample. Most players would have to focus on destroying the throne due to the stacked artifact creature having Modular. Then Osgir can copy the destroyed throne so you have two more chances to win the game.
This is the first time in the history of the game that I genuinely wanted to build a Boros Commander deck. This is just pure value and that's great.
Ramp and card advantage in Boros?! Is this heresy?!
Definitely building this deck.
Thank you for the help mitch can't wait to build this commander 😁
Thought I'd see the new snow artifact that copies it self in this quick take great job on the video
Pull from eternity seems like a good include. For W you can put a card in exile into it's owners library. Get 2 more sol rings! Or 2 more artifact lands!
This can make a brutal equipment deck definitely going in my Tiana ship's caretaker deck also there's at least two commanders I can think of that give you card advantage in boros
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Karn, the Great Creator is able to put artifacts from exile into your hand with his -2 for even more value.
I think you are correct.
No, it can't.
ARTIFACTS ARE ABOUT TO BE D I S G U S T I N G
Guess I have a new deck to build
Commander's Sphere would be pretty great here as well but I think I'd most like to actually recommend the moments. Oketra's Monument is great for getting your wide strategy going but doubling up on the looting from Hazoret's Monument to help get selective artifacts in the grave without having to play and sacrifice them would be huge!
But they are legendary artifacts, are they not? Correct me if I'm wrong. While they would be awesome, it would be difficult to include them for the multiplication part of the strategy.
@@backpackhermit Ask to borrow Money Mitch's Hall of Mirrors.
Good point though, but I would include some of the monuments for recursion at least then, especially Hazoret's to get expensive stuff in the grave for previously mentioned recursion.
Will boros finally not cause you group to erupt in laughter?
No, probably not.
No one laughs when i pull Winota out.
@@Beefyjesus0 true my winota is so hated because of her win rate
Who is this Boros? This is Lorehold!
Lol the only time that happens is when I bust put my boros chaos and it's usually because we know we're in for a long game
I'm actually super excited for this. Been wanting to make an artifact deck but was a bit on the fence about how to build.
With Lotus Bloom you can get a whole lot of mana with Osgir if you get it into your graveyard with cards like faithless looting. 6 extra Mana quite early on can be very powerful.
A card that would fit very well here (though a one off unless combo'd) is pull from eternity, let's you put something in exile into the yard.
It's a card that's usually overlooked but I think for one Mana being able to clone an artifact again is real good
Just preaching a bit here about our good boy, Slobad. If you want to run Osgir as commander, you HAVE TO run Slobad in the list. He'll be doing amazing things for that deck.
I don't know how you crank these out so fast and still have such high quality amazing content. I'm super glad though!
Finally, a deck that can play pull from eternity
I already built my deck tech! I'm super excited to play boros artifacts
If you can discard Ugin's Nexus then you can copy it and when they hit the battlefield one dies so you get an extra turn and you can save the other for later. Seems pretty good. And red has tons of cards that could let you do that.
I like how alot of the cards he recommended came in the precon already like thousand year elixir
This was for sure the most interesting commander they showed from the C21 commander decks. But maybe we'll get a few other commander options inside the decks that aren't the face commander.
Mitch great job as always, and both you and Eddie thanks for being real g's!
You can also include a lot of budget 2 mana artifacts which draw you a card upon ETB like Golden Egg
I love your style. sometimes I tune in even though I already know what you are going to say just because I want to hear you say it
I am going with metal work colossi, mirrage mirror and mirrors works just to give it that extra fun kick.
Ty these are some great ideas. Looking forward to using some of these for my deck
i preordered the precon for this one. when I first saw it i immediately thought bauble and mirror works
This guy looks like the most fun of the Strixhaven precon commanders, definitely gonna consider playing him.
A Smokestack and martyr’s bond combo with osgir would end a game almost as fast as it would end a friendship
With Wyleth, the new Akiri, and Feather, I feel like card advantage isn't as crazy unique in Boros as it used to be.
That being said, I think the more significant part about Osgir is that his card advantage isn't intrinsically linked to *equipment*. This allows him to have a lot more utility and freedom with what he can do because he isn't tied to the combat step like all of the previously mentioned Boros boys/girls.
Osgir's ability to both Ramp *and* get card advantage is really what makes him so unique and powerful.
Ugin's Nexus: Unless you can find a way to pitch it from your hand or mill it off the top of your library.
If you built this card into the 99 of s deck with blue, retreat to coralhelm would be really good paired with the artifact lands.
the only thing i dont like about him (ok, id prefer dwarf but i digress) is he doesnt let the legend rule not apply for artifacts. its an extra hoop to jump through, but i wish he would let you ignore it. maybe i just want to multiple copies of random legendary artifacts for no reason without needing an extra card. i dont care about bonus atk, but thats just what i want. im so glad this is getting made. i hope we see more unique takes and more interesting directions for other colour pairs
Now this makes me want to play Red/White!
Also, I just realized, if you somehow managed to combine Osgir with Adrix and Nev... It would be insane!
Brilliant! 3:07 *edit* btw, this might as well be a reverse Yarok in every way including the color identity.
Spare Supplies becomes decent with this. Also Karn, The Great Creator to bring back the exiled cards to your hand...
Karn the Great Creator is a sneaky good card that is worth considering. After you exile an artifact just negative 2 him and then get it right back to hand.
Great commander, hyped to build a deck around hin 😁
Thanks Mitch, appreciate all the content. Hope you have a great day 😁
This guy was my favorite and this video made him even better
I'd like to talk about an infinite combo with ugin's Nexus+Isochron scepter which has pull from eternity imprinted. Activate both of your commander's abilities once each turn on an ugin's nexus and you have infinite turns. Goblin matron/goblin recruiter into a goblin engineer can help find this combo
Small correction: you need to sacrifice both toke copies of ugins Nexus on the same turn, otherwise one will cancel the extra turn of the other
Daretti and combustable gearhulk also seem VERY good in here.
Cool video this commander will be awsome and could run abunch of 2 mana and 3 costed ramp and pull of a 20 artifact win also this could be slotted in a golos deck.
Don't forget about urza's bauble. A strictly worse mishra's bauble but that will do the same thing in effect as mishra's. White finally got some card draw 😂
He's basically Kilvin from the Kingkiller Chronicle, and I'm all for it.
Can’t wait to see your take on the Silverquill commander :D
You forgot to add Mycosynth Lattice for some combo. Like 2x Anointed Procession; Land ramo etc.....
you forgot to talk about to talk about the loot draw spells which is a specialty of red and can synergise with the ugin extra to turn to actually get two extra turn
Really like this lorehold commander! Thanks Mitchell 😊 love your work🙏
If you can discard or mill ugin’s nexus you can copy it. It only exiles itself from the battlefield.
Thkis and the simic commander as partners would be broken. Hmmm, put them all in one deck with another com. Four colour tokens?
Not sure if this has been mentioned already but I don’t think Ichor Wellspring would trigger all six times, since the token copies don’t go to the graveyard.
Regardless, this looks INCREDIBLY fun! Looking forward to the deck tech for this!
Tokens do touch the yard if they are destroyed or sacrificed
I've had a daretti deck for a long time now. I might just pivot it into a osgir deck
Pull from Eternity seems like it could push this commander to rarely seen heights in Boros.
Don’t forget about Anointed Procession!
Im just loving this for my boros giants mander. This seriously helps with the mediocre card draw and the giants high mana costs. Serious question, Is it worth replacing Brian Stoutarm as the mander?
I feel like you would also want to get some mill effects going to really take advantage of him. Mill your deck to get the best effects.
I’m so busy this time of year LOL great vid
scarp trawler would be fun
Nice video Mitchell, had no interest in this commander until I saw this, now I'm intrigued
Many videos today :O
The Coveted Jewel trick wouldn't work exactly like you suggested with sacrificing it in response to someone attacking you to take it because the ability is only at sorcery speed. Overall great video.
You sacrifice it with the first ability. You can also run other artifact sac outlets
I'm going to run Anointed procession with that guy. ok I wrote that before watching the video good to know he mentioned it lol.
This commander is amazing I can not wait to build it
You've almost convinced me to build a boros deck
I was thinking of using him with the modular mechanic
