@Douglas Briel no, 4K blue rays really aren't region locked. The reason for the region lock no longer matters now that TVs have standardized more over the years.

I remember that right before starting it i have read a comment on youtube, that said "damn i miss those tomb raider games when there were no magic and apocalypse, only mysteries", and i thought "damn, down to earth then okay sounds nice" You can pretty much imaging how hard i burst out laughing when literally first cutscene in the game show Lara's mother talking to ghosts and being teleported away after touching magic sword. Through the whole playthrough i couldnt stop thinking bout this. Reading this comment reminded me about it. since she literally wields GOD POWERS and MJOLNIR by the end of underworld
And they did it horribly hahahaha at least the wii version is somewhat forgivable and it features more extra areas that are cut in the other versions 💜
@Jared Palmer some levels were changes or ommited entirely. I remember playing the PS2 version of one of the games, then playing the game on PS3 and noticing differences. But thar was over 10 years ago at this point.

But that area in the Wii version looks exactly identical to the next gen version since the elevator puzzle is there, except on the PS2 version. They might have recorded that pre-rendered cutscene on the PS2 during development and slapped it as a BIK file on that portion of the level hahaha
Even though next gen is beautifully detailed, it gets a little confusing on what to actually do/where to go because everything kind of “blends in” to one another. PS2’s version lacks detail, but it’s easier to navigate.
It's one of the rare instances where I actually prefer the older gen PS2 character model to the PS3/Xbox 360 one. I felt the same about Legend as well. Lara's face was a bit butchered up. There environments however on PS3 and Xbox 360 looked incredible though, especially the Thailand level. Extremely beautiful and detailed.

Hello, I was amazed and marveled at the depth details in the Next Gen images... more after all, what is Next Gen... the images are a bit opal... but it's rich in many details.
Next gen version looks pretty damn good. PS2, ohh... yeah it's impressive they squeezed a next gen game on a previous gen console, but it looks like ass.
Yep, PS2/Xbox to PS3/ Xbox 360 was a huge graphical leap. It may not seem like much now but it was incredible back then. That's why the Xbox 360 and PS3 are two of the highest selling consoles of all time.

Back when devs cared about last gen. Especially PS2, it got some crazy ports. To be fair switch is in a similar situation today, it got some crazy big boy console ports.

I actually have this +2 Lost DLC's on X360 (and the exclusive theme) But if I would have known this was on PS2 back when I was a kid, this would have been great as PS2 was the only thing our household had. Wasn't until my senior year of HS I got my hands on the 360 and not until at least 2016 until I got TRU and bought the DLC stuff later. Had no idea theyd stay exclusive and makes me wanna dig out the old console lol 🙏🎮🕹️💯
A huge difference! I bought the ps2 version of it cause i din't have ps3 at the time,thought to myself ok maybe the graphics won't be as good on ps2 but i would get the same experience. BOY I WAS WRONG! Cut content,all of laras moves were dumb down,barely any puzzles,barely any exploration,extremely linear,no enemies,framerate to 5 throughout the whole games,bugs,bad controls etc etc. It was the worst tomb raider port i ever played,until of course i bought it for xbox 360 let me tell you a totally different experience for the better
The PS2 version of TRU is basically a walking simulator flooded with corridors everywhere 😂 there’s too much cut content and there were like 3-5 enemies per level lmaoooo hahaha. Good thing I got a gaming PC and the first thing I did is play TRU on it and it was a better experience 💜 Anyways, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰

next year in 2024, on Xbox series X|S ( and perhaps ps5) on the 17th of february they will release the remakes of the First 3 tomb Raider Games. i've preorderd it already

Technically, it isnt a port, they made a completely different version of the game specifically for the PS2 and Wii.

Underworld on PC is truly GORGEOUS.

@granixo don't know what you're talking about. PS3 version looked great and ran great without any fps drops and controls were fluid.

The Next Gen visual looks like playable FMV of PS2 games. I love the color filter (Brightness & saturation) on PS2 version as well.

Nah she talks wayy too much it doesn't make you feel that you're in isolated place but on some tour with a guide. But the next reboot is awful.
