The Billionaire’s Court is held accountable by the likes of Justice Harlan Crow. The court has been paid for and in no way reflects the workings of an independent judiciary. Roberts will go down in history as leading the least trusted high court in modern history .
Agreed, Sherman. The public wants accountability, but we don't have the power to vote out SCOTUS, like we should be able to vote out incompetent politicians.

-How the courts handle these unprecedented cases, sets the standard for future corrupt Presidents.
-After ALL (and there’s a lot) of the excuses are heard, the lies debunked and the verdicts are made, after the appeals are denied and Trump’s trials are officially concluded, then his final sentences will be concrete.
To do all of that and in the correct and appropriate manner, unfortunately, will take time. It’s maddening.

If judges on the Supreme Court have no political leaning then why is it always that the President's are so much in a hurry to appoint them before their term ends? To say they don't have a political leaning is like saying a duck doesn't quack.
Unlike Seth, I did go to law school and pass the bar...a long time ago. What I can say about this with full confidence is that the Supremes ceased being a court of law...also a long time ago, and became a committee. Scalia, Rehnquist and that cohort turned the 'court' into a committee charged with doling out favors for their benefactors. This is not something that just happened. The Bar Association and lawyers themselves let this happen and made it happen. Follow the money.

Basically, Seth joked about Mar-a-lago looking like a medieval hovel and references medieval times with the 'Serf's up' name. A serf, just in case you're not familiar with the term, was a peasant under a feudal lord in medieval times.
The tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons (of which also a cartoon and a few movies exist), is commonly abbreviated to either 'D&D' or 'DnD', and its gameplay setting is typically a medieval environment. So the joke continues the "medieval" theme, using the abbreviation to make a pun on Airbnb, where 'Airdnd' would be the place you list your medieval hovel.
So yeah, writing this out just made me realize how much of a stretch the joke is but honestly I have to give them props for the sheer number of references stacked in one joke.

The written judgement from the appellate court was very thorough and solid in denying the notion of immunity. There is no reason for the SCOTUS to delay a trial that would provide essential information for voters to make their decision.
SCOTUS took this case so they could weigh in for Trump, no matter that everybody knows all he's done.
Right? Even if they wanted to take up the case, they could lift the stay and let the trial proceed. Or have oral arguements in a week. There's definitely something rotten with this Supreme Court.

In many democracies supreme court judges are elected by other federal judges. No politics, only on professional merit and behavior. Time for a change in America?

The problem isn't the president appointing, is the Senate voting them in. If they were nonpartisan or at least politically-party-diverse. The two party system we have needs to die! We need to be as political-party-diverse as we can possibly be in all 50 states and in both house of Congress.
However, it could be worse… we could vote directly for judges as if they were politicians. Which does exist in many states and in some countries around the world.

Okay, we all now know when Trump left the White House he took hundreds and hundreds of boxes full of thousands of classified documents each. These boxes contained secret and top secret military capabilities. Not just America's but all of our closest allies Great Britain, France, Israel, Australia, Canada, Poland, etc. Maybe you remember the news from October 7th began explaining hamas's entrance into Israel with everyone being gobsmacked, wondering how these terrorists were able to get inside of Israel's border undetected. They breached the Israeli border without setting off any alarms or getting blown to Kingdom Come order alerting any authorities.
Trump sold is Israel's border security secrets for pennies on the $100,000!
This is why he was so adamant to fight to keep them. He plans to sell off the entire lot. Also, he allowed the buyers to riffle through all of the documents first, to find the ones that were valuable to them. It is possible that the buyer only bought the Israeli military secrets but they were allowed to look at all of them, compromising America's Secrets Australia and all of our other allies. With Hamas and/or Putin agents having been exposed to all of America's military asset secrets and all of our allies assets secrets, we must find a way to put this Genie back in the bottle before the second October 7th occurs- due to Trump's greed and lack of knowledge of love

Any SCOTUS justice who grants Trump immunity could face impeachment.

I believe that producing and delivering a show as consistently good as this one takes a lot of discipline, effort, and behind-the-scenes talent. It doesn't just happen, and we as viewers are seldom aware of the hard work and detailed process that goes into it. Of course, I like to believe Seth is just as jovial and incisive and awesome as he is at the desk (something that was really reinforced during his lockdown segments from home), but the simple truth is, we just don't know for sure.

Here is the problem with the supreme court decision. No matter which way you take it, it is a scary scary thing. Either they consider the notion has no merit, but they decided to take it up to help delay for Trump which is bad, OR they actually think the notion may have merit, which honestly is even worse.

ive never heard anyone think the brits were less free because theyre under the monarchy. atleast in my area of the US the royals are revered. Like, my mom cried when princess diana passed away all those years ago. My sisters were jumping with glee when the new royal babies were born. Not to mention the sadness felt when the queen died.
