I ran a small boat like that in the river and a musky came out of the weed bed and smacked it so hard it broke the battery holder lol! Great vid!! Awesome idea to use it to save the boats that won't selfright!!
Please do another video of this boat rescuing another boat or maybe a few boats of different sizes.
I think alot of people are interested in a small cheap recovery boat for their larger faster brushless and gas/petrol powered boats.
I once had a UMX Icon A5. Great little plane, flew it off the river all the time. One day, however, a gust flipped it over while taxiing in.
So we sent our only boat, a brushless catamaran that does 60. This was not well thought out.
Even at the lowest speed I could manage, the boat pushed the plane underneath it, and itty bitty bits of Icon A5, held together by tiny servo wires and snagged on the boats rudder, were all that were left.
I must have this little jet boat in my life. The plow is genius! Seaplane anxiety is real, and this is the cure!

Got one of these boats for my granddaughter. Its so smooth and responsive. We actually used it to rescue a Pro Boat Blackjack 24 with the included push cage.

We put up a $99 Walmart special metal framed above ground pool 2 years ago. Chemicals and tools cost more than the pool did but it's the greatest purchase ever being able to relax out back in the sun AND be able to run my slow boats in the back yard! If you can get over the anvoe ground pool aspect, or don't live in a rental, I suggest it! Write it off as a business expense for testing boats and submarines lol

That is a pretty unique design and I haven't seen too many jet propulsion boats that are small, I've seen the one that was at the end and this one now. That's a good seal! It was sitting in the water for a while before Abby flipped it over, long enough for water to seep in.

This boat works great for a fishing aid too. Just add a bit of velcro to the back of the boat and the matching velco patch to your bobber. Motor your bobber to those hard to reach spots or spots way out of casting range then give your line a YANK to disconnect your fishing rig from the boat.
I love the idea of that as a rescue boat! I wonder if you could add a continuous servo (like the crawler guys use for a winch) and a tennis ball out the back as well. If another boat is stuck, drop the tennis ball, let out some slack and circle around it, see if the ball can nudge the stuck boat loose.

There is a video on CZcams were a brushless motor is installed in the Pro Boat. Very fast boat!
I hope one is a traxxas spartan or the proboat sonic wake, if you have a spartan try to trim the prop down a little to keep it from hopping and flipping over. And grease that prop shaft after every second run, or it will have a catastrophic failure. Keep up the great work.

I have the Pro Boat Alpha Patrol Twin Jet Boat. It's the same type of propulsion as this boat, but stronger motors, and two of them that are slaved together. It can go pretty fast and has some interesting manoeuvring characteristics that can make it challenging at high speeds. It's also a very scale boat, based upon the US Navy MK II PBR, the type of boat that was used in the classic movie "Apocalypse Now".
We are going to buy 2 of these one in each color for our boys for a little pool soccer. Our other boat is a little too fast for the pool.

Nathan, hey I have a UDI Arrow boat. Why are my battery packs so expensive? Is there an alternative battery i can use thats a little less expensive?

Nice boat, great color. It's reasonably fast for open water. Whose to say if you were the Colossal Man that lake would be his pool.🤭🤭. 👁 like it. Now just gotta make it BIGGER, brushless, & faster for the Big Water. Good start to Boat Week. Now you need to get some plastic balls throw them in the water & use your smiling 😃 pusher to show off It's scooping skills. Also think it would look & handle great in your fast running stream. ⚓⚓👍💖👍💚👍⚓⚓.

I have had this boath for few years now, great fun whenever i run them. Let bystanders run it after short training session. Looks like banggood has same boat under different name listed as - Flytec V008 High Speed Jet RC Boat 35km/h Vehicle Models 150m Control Distance - Red. Maybe you could get one and see if same.
You should check out the videos of these boats that have been converted to brushless. No longer a pool toy at that point. Would help if you want to really use this as a recovery boat.

Ok you two did it to me again. I have one coming now. I've avoided boats because the places I have are mostly small streams or or lakes/ponds with lots of grass and unfortunately fishing line often. Heck we regularly have fishing line wrapped on our trucks when we drive one the trails around the lake. I think this jet boat will be perfect.

@@TheRcSaylors well poop. Took it out today and mine has serious issues. I think the epoxy seal along the base of the jet unit is not good. 3 minutes of drive time and the hull fills full with water and can barely chug back to shore. It is a bit of a drag but this did run well enough to show me that boats are not my jam. My wife and I love the crawlers and I have a blast with drones but the boat seems to get dull fast. Probably because I was running solo, I suspect it might be more fun with a wife/friend and maybe on more interesting water. This one is going back and the $ is being put towards an SCX24 for my bride.

The boat is able to move forward, but can it reverse? When I hit reverse direction on the controller, there is no action at all. Motor only turn forward direction

Lol Nate: Most boats have really good rubber seals and this one only has this one that could be it’s downfall, lol in the meantime he can’t open it or pull the hatch open and it was still difficult with him getting a good grip on it with his shirt and as it pops off you can hear the strong suction sound ! Lol I’d have to say that the company that made that pool Rc boat thought about having a really good seal as we just witnessed and I’d also have to say it looks like a way better seal then most Rc boats and definitely better then my M41 has as I get a lot of water in it even when I tape the seal of the hatch. Keep up the Great Work and Stay and Play Safe !! 👊👍

B: since you bow to my every request 😂. I'd love to see you do and test some budget upgrades or upgrades in general on cars boats and planes. Maybe start with this one..... I want to buy it and make it faster!!! If you could change the motor and ESC for under $50 and get another 10mph that would be some serious bang for buck. Keep up the good work!!

Nice little boat. Might be a tad fast for most personal/neighborhood pools - feeling as cramped as a Japanese goldfish in a fishbowl - but it’s probably very happy in an Olympic-size pool.
The cup attachment reminds me a bit of a locomotive cow catcher. Does that make it a sea cow catcher? 😉 Beware of grass and debris with it, though; no doubt it will snag very easily. Upside: all the drag from the sea cow catcher - assuming it stays in the water - most likely helps keep the boat at small-pool-friendly speeds. 😁
if you know Flight test on CZcams they own a golf course that's a RC playground. with water too and events.

Hey guys.. IVE Been looking for a good RECOVERY boat. Ive been using fishing pole but sometimes it goes out so far that the fishing pole is no good. CAN YOU GUYS PLS PLS PLS PUT THIS to the test on rescuing a bigger boat like a 29inch boat? I really want to see if it can push and handle a heavier and bigger rc boat to rescue. Bc I have The VELES 29 by proboat and I want to see if it can even push that weight. It would be so great to see it work or not before I pull the trigger and buy it!! Thanks in advance guys!!

I was just going to buy the Miss Geico 17 for $125.00 at my LHS in FL... The million dollar question is will this Proboat Jetjam have enough power to push the blackjack 42 proboat... What are your thoughts?
I just got the BlackJack 42 aswell and that thing flips as soon as I get over half throttle on 8s and I was looking to get a tugboat but now that I saw this Im going to lean towards getting this so if I do get it I will get back and tell you how it does
