Excellent video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! Audio is not that bad and it’s totally understandable, that you’ll upgrade if the money starts to flow in…
Thanks for watching and nice comment :)
Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
thank you...!
No problem, thanks for watching.
That's nice! But you should get a better microphone.
Sure, as soon I start getting some return on youtube haha.
Is the audio quality that bad? It's improved alot since the start but got a long way to go
@@TheEngineeringExperienceYT It's not the microphone, it's the room. There's some room reverb happening, which suggests that you're recording in a medium-sized room with bare walls. Heavy curtains on the walls, or egg crate material, or sound dampening material, would help a lot. If that's not an option, I know of at least one audiobook narrator who records under a heavy blanket for sound isolation.
Record a single clap and look at the waveform in Audacity. The more of a tail the waveform has, the more reverb your recording setup has. It makes your voice sound a bit muddier.
You might also consider a pop screen and running a de-esser filter on your audio.
Thanks, I'll try that. My room is very small to be honest and very little dampening.
I do have a pop screen and de-ess on da vinci but will experiment more.
Thanks for the feedback.
@@TheEngineeringExperienceYT The recording room makes most of the sound quality. Even things like stuffing corners with fabric, having bookshelves (or anything to break up the sound waves), not recording against a flat surface like computerscreens should help with echo. Another way was to record in a closet full of clothes, or making small desktop recording booth things. BTW Your channel is great, it really helps me to keep up with my own copy of AoE and have some kind of check on whether I'm doing the excercises correctly. Keep up the great work!
