    For everyone wondering why Christian Bale is doing an American accent: those interviews were taken from his 2008 The Dark Knight press tour, where he put on his American accent to not potentially distance the general audience who may question 'why is Bruce Wayne english'. Not sure it was necessary, but I imagine he was probably instructed to by his agent or someone from the WB marketing team.

    I don’t really think the average person appreciates just how influential the early Batman cartoon/live action show Jokers were. They were the pioneers responsible for taking the character off the page; they laid the ground work for how the character acted, sounded, and moved in motion, outside of the confines of a printed page. You can still see pieces of those early Jokers carried on to this day in portrayals as new as Phoenix’s Joker, especially with the iconic laugh.

      That’s what makes them so great, Humans can relate to them on a real scale. They can believe everything they do. Nobody knows what it’s like to be able to lift a planet or blow it up with your power. Even flying, but everyone understand with peak condition and money everyone could see being Batman and fighting an insane criminal who looks like a clown.

Superman being the most popular hero just because you can go anywhere in the world and show the S symbol and they'll instantly recognise it as Superman's trademarks. Batman and Spiderman are very close to being as popular as superman but the rest of the dc or even marvel characters aren't at these 3's level. I'd say hulk will be in top 5 for sure along with wonder woman

    Fun Fact: Cesar Romero was asked to shave his distinctive Latin mustache to be the Joker, and he adamantly refused. They worked around it with heavier application of his white greasepaint on his upper lip and long shot selection (you really only notice it on closeups and in the re-masters).

      They probably used archived interviews from the press cycle for The Dark Knight. If I recall correctly, Christian Bale kept his Bruce accent for the press to stay in character and minimize dissonance for the audience.

    Cameron Monoghan is still a far better Joker than Leto, I'm glad DC actually acknowledged his performance, although legally speaking he wasn't the Joker, but he was for me, I'm sure I speak for all the Gotham fans when I say that.

      Which of his "Joker" characters do you mean? Jerome who was actually like the Joker, or Jeremiah who for the most part was nothing like him. i think his work as Jerome is better than Leto, but I would rather watch Leto than Jeremiah.

    Joker the most iconic comic book character and villain of all time. I still remember being a small girl and watching the animated series and being fascinated with the Joker even more when my dad would put on the Tim Burton movie and seeing Jack Nicholson go insane. I love every interpretation of the character but the ones I mostly love are the ones played by Cameron Monaghan, Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix in first place🃏
