    About Batman:
Tim Burton directs; Michael Keaton stars as Batman; and Jack Nicholson stars as his arch foe, The Joker. As the Dark Knight, defender of law and order in Gotham City, Batman treads the shadow zone between right and wrong, fighting with only his skill in martial arts and his keenly honed mind to defend the innocent and to purge the memory of his parents' brutal murder--always keeping his true identity as millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne a closely guarded secret. Based upon Batman characters created by Bob Kane and published by DC Comics.

Nigel Phelps is still alive and working in the industry today, Phelps is the one who drew all the buildings and sets. Make fun of Judge Dredd all you want, but that depiction of Mega-City 1 is incredible. And Julian Caldow drew all the vehicles and gadgets. Furst verbally dictated what he wanted to his illustrators, exactly like Bo Welch, Barbara Ling and very other average PD in the industry. William Stout and Ron Cobb he was not, Furst has been elevated to a DaVinci level genius folk hero in the midwest.

What's sad to me is that the two sequels have never gotten the same level of love. BATMAN RETURNS is more a "cult" movie than a classic; and BATMAN FOREVER, while it's not terrible, is considered to be the foreshadowing of BATMAN & ROBIN (which IS terrible). Looking back, I think my greatest wish for this series would be for Warner Brothers to NOT ask Burton to direct the second film, and kept him on only as a producer. I can't help wondering whether we could have had a Christopher Nolan-like trilogy 17 years earlier.

Thank you Warner Brothers for Batman 1989, and for believing in both Tim Burton and Michael Keaton!
Michael Keaton was the best casting choice for that era!….just like Christopher Reeves was before him!
And now Ben Affleck is the second best if not tied to Michael Keaton as the best two live action Batman actors to play the character on the silver screen!…..
Henry Cavill is just as amazing as superman too!
We as fans want more of the current DCEU going forward and keep the multiverse with each iteration of Batman and superman alive!…..
Looking forward to seeing next year’s the flash movie and Robert Pattinson The Batman movie come to life!…..

They gave Snyder a chance to release his version of Justice League which in the final analysis wasn’t profitable to WB as expected by many of the individuals who lobbied for the release. Also, Nolan was the idiot who wanted to exclusively release Tenet in the middle of a pandemic with no vaccines being available at that time.

I finally got around to watching Batman recently, and honestly I agree with Roger Ebert's remarks. I don't really care for the movie personally, but you can't deny the impact and importance of it. My favorite comic book movies like Logan and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 would probably not exist had it not been for Batman's influence. I'll forever be grateful for this movie
