🤗 Thank you for your comment! Enjoy Rome! 🥳
thank you very helpful
I am glad it helped, enjoy Rome! 🤩
I enjoyed your video as it was detailed and to the point. I do wish you would have included if you can use your credit card and phone to pay for services. My understanding is that you can?
Thank you, Jeff! Yes, you can use both 😊
Hi, at the beginning of the video you mentioned a lot of different passes that we can purchase, these passes all work for bus and metro? or do i have to buy separate passes for bus and metro.
Hi! They all work for both bus and metro 😊
Not every bus had pay & go machines. And often the ticket validators were not working. To be safe, always buy a few single tickets when you’re at a machine or tobacco shop. And to validate manually, just write the date and time in the ticket by hand.
Thank you for your comment! It's good to know, I haven't seen a bus without a pay&go on our trip, but I did see broken validators. If you're going to take several trips by bus, I think it may be best to get a pass with unlimited trips (like the weekly one), as they only have to be validated once, and you get a better price for the entire stay. 😊
First of all, great video congrats. I would like to ask you if the 48 hour ticket is also usable for the ciampino airlink station. And last, how much money a taxi will charge for an early morning drive from Roma Termini to the ciampino airport. Thank you in advance 🙏
Hi, thank you for your appreciation! 🙏 Yes, the 48h ticket is usable on the 520 and 720 buses going to Ciampino 😊 The taxi should be between 31 and 40 Euros, and from Termini there are also shuttles costing around 6 euros per person. Enjoy your trip to Rome! 🤗
If you buy a ticket and use it for the metro first, will you still need to validate it once again later on the first bus ride or is the metro validation enough?
Hi! If you use it on the metro first, than that validation is enough 😊
Hey, i wanted to ask that metro and bus has separate weekly passes? If i am riding both then ill need 2 passes, 1 for metro and 1 for bus?
Hi! No, it is the same pass you use for both 😊
Hello, and thanks for the video! I have a question if you could help me. Since I am landing in Rome at midnight, I saw that only the Terravision bus is available to me. When I go back from Rome to the airport, do you know where should I wait for the bus exactly? I saw a Terravision bus stop on Google Maps near Termini Train Station, but I am not sure if should I actually enter the station or if it's somewhere outside? Do you have any information? Thanks in advance!
Hi! It is outside, where you saw it on Google Maps. You should see it as "Terravision Bus Station Termini". That is where they also drop you when you travel from the airport to Rome. 😊
@@goneonvacation Thank you so much, I appreciate a lot your help! You have my subscription! :)
@@alekspetrovska4399 Thank you for your appreciation, I am glad I helped! 😊 Enjoy your trip!
Do we need to tap for validation both when we on and off the bus? Thanks before
Hi! If I understand correctly, I think you are asking about tapping your credit card at the tap&go machine. You only have to tap one time, when you get on the bus. Be aware that you have to use a separate credit card for each passenger. The same goes for the metro station, you only tap at the entrance. :) Does this answer your question, or do you mean the paper bus tickets?
Hi! I was planning to use the bus only once. So when I hop on the bus I tap on the machine, and when I want to get off do I need to tap again? Thank you for your help!
No, just once 😊
Is there are atac ticket machine at Roma Termini where I can purchase a Roma 48h card please?
Hi! Yes, there are several machines at Roma Termini 👍
Hi. Rome one day public transport ticket is only valid for "Rome city" or also for "Rome airport"?
Hi! There are two airports serving Rome, Ciampino and Fiumicino. For Ciampino, there are buses connecting the airport to the city, that work with the daily public transport ticket. However, they are not valid for Fiumicino. I hope this answers your question 🤗 Enjoy Rome!
@@goneonvacation So, which transportation choice is best going from and then back to the Fiumicino airport?
@@joymiller4253 Hi! 🤗 To Fiumicino you can only take the train, private shuttle buses, or taxis. The shuttle is the cheapest, while the train is the fastest. I am giving you a link I think will help: destinationwellknown.com/fiumicino-rome-airport/#:~:text=The%20easiest%20way%20to%20get,the%20city%20centre%20of%20Rome.
Is there different pass for metro and bus, Like I have taken a pass 48hr for 12.5€ do it will work in metro as well as bus?
Hi! Your pass will work on both metro and bus 😊 Enjoy your trip!
So if I have weekly ticket, do I need to tap in on every journey I enter?
Hi! The weekly ticket only has to be validated once, on your first ride. However, at the metro, you have to tap it every time, because the ticket opens the turnstiles. So, on buses just once, on the metro every time 😊 I hope I explained it well. Enjoy your trip!
Can i use the “72 hour roma ticket” to come to castelromano designer outlet or centro commerciale Porta di Roma?
Hi! Yes. You must use Atac or Cotral services. To Castel Romano use the Cotral buses from Laurentina metro B station. To Porta di Roma use buses 38 and 80 from Termini station, piazza Venezia or from the Ionio station of the B/B1 metro. Enjoy your trip!
I don’t understand the validation thing . When you scan your card to go through is that when it’s validated ? And if you tap and go what is the proof you show ? Also does the 48 and 72 hour pass work on the trams ?
Hi! 😊 When you scan your card to go through at the metro, yes, that's when it's validated. You don't need to show any proof at the metro. Without payment/valid pass, the doors simply don't open and you can't go through. The 48 and 72 hours work on trams, too. On buses and trams, these passes only have to be validated once, on your first ride (Nothing bad happens if you validate them every time, though). If you use the tap&go and inspectors come, they will ask for the number of the card you used for payment. 😊 Enjoy your trip! If you have any more questions, I'm happy to help!
Thank you because where I live in Miami we never take any type of public transportation so it’s super foreign for me and scary
@@roslyhernandez319 I've included pretty much everything in this video, so you already know what you have to do. you're going prepared, don't worry 😊 All the locals use it, it's safe, no sketchy people. 🤗 Enjoy Rome!
I will be traveling to Rome with my wife, my 77 year old father in law, and two children age 8 and 13. Are the ticket prices different for senior citizens and children? We will be in Rome for 4 nights. Thank you!
Wow, that sounds like a nice trip! Kids under 10 travel for free when accompanied with an adult, but there are no discounts for seniors 😊 Enjoy your vacation!
Can someone tell me how to travel from Roma Termini to pigneto plz
😁 Here it is. Option 1: take the metro line A for 3 stops, until San Giovanni, then exchange with green metro line B for another 2 stops. Get off at Pigneto 😊 Option 2: You can take the trams 5 or 14 for 9 stops, and get off at Prenestina/Giovenale.
😬 What happens if I accidentally validate the same ticket twice on the same day? (Or on purpose! I'm so confused about the validation process between bus/Metro/tram/etc. that I just plan to validate every time I get on some sort of public transportation, just to be safe! The 50 Euro fine it too much to mess with! )
😁 If you buy a daily pass, or a cis pass, you can validate it as much as you want. You have to validate it every time at the metro, because you can't get in otherwise. On the bus you just need to validate it once, but nothing bad happens if you validate it every time.
I’m planning to do the same thing. Better validate it every time you use metro bus tram than to think what, where, how many times. Their system is a lot bit complicated without a reason, obviously!🤷♀️
@@Eirene30 I agree! And the trains in Italy are even more complicated 😅 Nothing bad happens if you validate every time, it just shows you the date when your pass expires. Enjoy Rome! 🥰
What is unclear is the ticket you use for the metro is the same as the ticket for the bus?
Yes, it's the same! 😊🤗
Hii, can i use Visa credit cared issued in my homecountry?
Yes. We did the same.
Hi , in the bus, what is the difference between a validated machine and a tap and Go machine?
Hi! Sorry I missed your comment. At the Tap & Go machine you pay with your credit card, from the bank, and you can only pay for one ride. The validator is for the tickets, that is where you validate a ticket you've already bought. So at the tap&go you pay with a card, at the validator, you validate a ticket. 🤗 Enjoy Rome!
@@goneonvacation do you know how much the bus ride cost? Using tap & go?
@@atheer4705 Yes, it's € 1.50 😊
@@goneonvacation and can i use apple pay? Rather than card.
@@atheer4705 Yes 😊
Can I use visa/mastercard binded to Google pay? Idw to buy a public transport pass, i just want to pay on the go. Is that fine?
Yes, you can use Google Pay, too 👍
Not all machines work on buses. As not all buses have pay and go machines.
Does the 72h transport pass include rides from/to airport Da-Vinci ?
Hi! No, the rides to and from Da Vinci airport are not included in any of the passes. 🤗 Enjoy your trips!
Hop on hop off is not good?
The hop on hop off is also a good option, but the price is different. 😊 We preferred to walk and take the metro/bus for longer distances.

Hi! If you can't use the app, you can just buy tickets at the machines, or use the tap&go machines for single rides. 🤗 Enjoy your trip!
